Somewhere Over the Rainbow - always reminds me of my sister who passed away 10 years ago. It was her favorite song.

The Day You Went Away by Australian singer Wendy Matthews. OK, she's actually Canadian but she moved to Australia over 30 years ago so we now claim her as our own. We're very good at that. The film clip shows an old man sitting by his wife's bed as she's dying, with flashbacks to when they first met. For a Short Time by Weddings Parties Anything is another one. There are several reasons that the song affects me. In fact I just now read an article about the song (after reading through this thread) and it brought tears to my eye once again. Sleep by Midnight Oil. My sister, who died when she was 16, was a huge Midnight Oil fan, as was I. When she was really sick my aunty arranged for Peter Garrett, the lead singer, to ring her in hospital. When she died my aunty put a death notice in the paper that included the last lines of the song: Take this heart Break this heart Wrap it up and let me sleep

Oh gosh, lots. Immediate thoughts...
Slipping through my fingers- ABBA. Breaks my heart as the mother of a boy who'll go off to university next year. Where on earth do the years go?
Dance with my father- Luther Vandross - always made me cry but since I attended a funeral recently where the daughter asked for this, I just fall apart

Off the top of my head: He Stopped Loving Her Today by George Jones Little Rock by Colin Raye - When he says "I'm sorry that I cried when I talked to you last night" it just kills me. Who Knew by Pink
and...Bein' Green by Kermit the Frog (for real, I tear up every time)

Someone Like You by Adele
