Just curious and can't work it out in my head (and it's after hours at the insurance company.)
Took the collision off dd's car because the deductible was outrageous and the car value not enough to warrant the cost on the policy plus deductible. Figured we'd just take our changes - sigh! So dd was at a friends and one of the parents friends backed into her car. I don't think there is anything major wrong, just a dent, but not 100% sure at this point.
My question is the guy who hit it was obviously 100% at fault. It was parked and she wasn't in it. So would his insurance cover it if something needs to be done or are we shit out of luck because we don't carry collision anymore?
Obviously will call the insurance company in the morning to check, but figure maybe there was an off chance someone in the area knew.

Insurance is so weird. I had some one hit my car while it was parked in a parking lot. We were assigned 50/50 at fault because it was a parking lot and not a public road way.
But this was 20 years ago and on Florida so it may have changed or be different where you are.

If it is just a dent, I wouldn't pursue it.

Collision is only for your car if you are at fault.
