I started coming to 2peas when my daughter was a baby. She's almost 18 now. :-)

I'm not an alter ego! I was easypeasy and [Michele] on the old boards. I don't entirely agree with Annabella's opinion, but when she posted that people who just click like and don't post are spineless, I thought maybe I should occasionally post. (I think it's better to click like than to pile on or be redundant but whatever! ) I have a Lurker "friend" who Likes my posts sometimes, but I don't think she's ever posted herself. I have no problems with a thumbs up from anyone, anytime. And I am also very happy to see you and the other formerly-Shy members posting.

I've been around since the original 2Peas, as far back as 2005 or possibly 2001! But never much of a poster, just reading threads out of interest. I usually only post if I really have something to say about the subject. I remember some of the classic 2Peas threads archived here when they happened the first time! Im Leanne, I post if I have something to talk about, and I love doing questionnaires, like the TG food one the other day. I like that you have "button" in your name

I am, indeed, one of the long-time lurkers who came out of lurkdom just to post on the GrinningCat thread. In fact, I got my "shy member" title on that post. (Will really miss her posts!)
I've been around for ever. I had a really low Pea Number and I think I maybe made it up to a couple of hundred posts on the old board.

I have been around a very long time as well and have been trying to post more.
Recently I "liked" a post in a controversial thread but didn't want to "join in" on the arguing so I never posted to it. I didn't know it was 'spineless" of me but leave it to Annabella to say that!

I think I am classified that way. I very rarely post on the NSBR part of the board. Shoot, I barely post on the Gen Scrap part, I guess.
I used to be around a lot on the old Two Peas.
I lurk from time to time but honestly mostly on the Gen Scrap board. I'm still very scrappy. My sister fell into the scrapbook addiction recently and she is, as she would say, "ate up with it." She is so into it that she got dehydrated and got a dehydration migraine a month or two ago because she scrapbooked so much she forgot to stop to eat and drink. It's a little nutty.

Not a political reason for me. If I am not interested in the title of the thread, political or not, I don't bother to open it. I have been a lurker as far back as i can remember. I was a person friend of one of the garden girls on the original board, but just didn't have an interest in posting. Here I am today long after the demise of the old board having just as much quiet fun as before. And by the way, I bought a Shark vacuum because of all the great raves and reviews of the Peas. Thanks! I got a Shark because of the peas too!

Actually I am shy In real life also. I don't post if I do not have something new to say. Also, I am not very good with social media. I am slow and still learning how to do things. I just figured out today how to use smilies here other than what are on my iPad! I only read some of the threads and don't remember someone until they post something that really strikes me. Since I am slow at a lot of this I don't have time to check in every day. Half the time I don't know what the abbreviations mean! I was a "lurker" on the old boards as well. I loved 2Ps for many reasons and was very sad when they closed. I have dropped in here to read now and then but only recently have posted. I was more active at SC but it is lousy there now. That's my shy story.

Welcome shy peas! I was a lurker for a very long time. I see nothing wrong with reading, getting great information and "liking" a post even though you don't post often.
I do find that I enjoy the board much more now that I'm participating. Please know that even more of the same view point makes the original poster feel good and/or more certain in whatever they are posting on, so don't hesitate even if someone else already posted what you are thinking.
Do what feels comfortable to you! It's a public board after all.

Well you've convinced me! I'm a long-time lurker (both here and the old board) for nearly 15 years!I'm also a personal friend of a few former garden girls. (Haven't scrapped in years tho!) I created a new name here since I keep a pretty low-profile on all social media and my former name was a little too identifiable (you wouldn't recognize it anyway...I really have always been a lurker). I prefer to keep my anonymity here because I have family on this board and we rarely agree, plus I think she sees this as her outlet and I don't want to impede her ability to freely express herself. I'm not a hair-flipper, but you'll just have to take my word for it. I hope to be a validator here, even if I don't have anything original to add. Also, I do think commenting makes the board more enjoyable. Alright...closing my eyes, plugging my nose, and jumping in with both feet!

I am new to this site, but, not 2peas. I was mostly a lurker there, but did post occasionally. I did meat several peas back in the day, and am still friends in real life with a pea. I think I only ever started two threads, asking for prayers for by infant daughter at the time who needed a heart transplant... Which she received 12 1/2 years ago, and is doing phenomenal! My second post was asking for advice about a move to San Diego, that was 10 years ago!
Happy to have found this site 😀

I've been around forever, just don't talk much! I remember my first post over on 2peas, it was about XL,2XLclothing sizes. Somehow it rubbed someone wrong and I got a verbal lashing over it. So, I kind of quit posting and just read. It works for me! I've been posting more here lately.

Welcome to all shy peas. I don't entirely agree with Annabella's opinion, but when she posted that people who just click like and don't post are spineless, I thought maybe I should occasionally post. (I think it's better to click like than to pile on or be redundant but whatever! ) Agreed, and I'm not a shy member, but generally hang out on the scrapbooking board as I've always found the NSRB to move so fast that anything I would post was just repeating 20 other peas and the point was obviously made so I would either leave the post or I might like a comment. I just decided to give this board another shot. I stay far away from the political threads (ok, I might read the first page, but then I'll leave it). I don't like responding on my phone. ;-) Me either, it's such a pain. I like a real keyboard! My sister fell into the scrapbook addiction recently and she is, as she would say, "ate up with it." She is so into it that she got dehydrated and got a dehydration migraine a month or two ago because she scrapbooked so much she forgot to stop to eat and drink. It's a little nutty. If I didn't have kids to take care of, I could see forgetting to eat, but not forgetting to drink. There is always a drink on my craft table. Your sister is not alone in her nuttiness. I know several on the gen. Scrap board that would probably fall in closely. I was more active at SC but it is lousy there now There is an active SC thread over in general scrapping for all those who were fed up with SC. You might want to check it out.
