After that they seem to go off the rails. Let's say 4.13 pages, just to knock out all the replies from people who haven't bothered to read the previous replies and, therefore, restate everything that went before as though it's a brand new thought .

After that they seem to go off the rails. ETA: this is meant in jest. I was trying to make a play on Bill Maher's new rules. I think Maher is extremely funny but also a pompous ass. I apologize that my original post didn't convey that humor at all. Well that's one almighty back peddle... j/k I got that you were jesting. RosieKat what exactly would we win? I think we need to know! On the old board it was a shameful thing to be the thread killer.... Perhaps what we need is one of those flashing/alternating badges a la Harry Potter with both thread winner and thread killer depending on the content of the 3 pages? Help me out, Peas, who is our immensely talented badge wizard, is it scrappinghappy ?

All threads can go off the rails. Just look at my apology thread. Oh man, did that go off the rails? I just thought lots of people were posting to say how great you were for apologising. Now I'm gonna have to go find the thread and catch me up on some drama!

AussieMeg yeah. It went crazy political and then cocktails were discussed at length. Always check out a thread that's gone more than 4 or 5 pages. You never know what's going on in there.
