I recently read that anemia can cause PVC's but don't know more than what was on a Mayo Clinic site. They haven't checked my potassium. I'll have to add that to the list. I'm having a uterine ablation and colonoscopy Friday so hopefully that will help with the anemia and figure out what is causing my GI problems. I'm going to try to sleep in the chair. My palpitations are still bad and feel worse when laying down. It's been over an hour since taking the medication so I assume that if I was going to have problems they would have happened by now. I'm going to just assume if your MD has ordered a battery of blood tests that you've had a BMP or basic metabolic panel which would give you your potassium level. I'm also guessing that if you are having a procedure on Friday, you have done all of the necessary pre-op tests including updated blood work and EKG. If your stress test was done within the past 3-6 months, that will probably suffice for the procedures you are having. One test you haven't mentioned is a thyroid panel (if you did, I must have missed it). I would suggest that if nothing else has been found on any cardiac type testing. What about your caffeine intake? Any other new meds or changes to the ones you currently take? My heart races when I've had too much caffeine and I am fairly certain I'm having PVCs but I've never EKG'd myself. I'm a terrible patient. Let us know how you are feeling! m SaveSave

One night I was having palpitations and they felt/sounded atrial in nature, so I hooked myself up to tele for the rest of the night just to see. It was PACs. I felt better knowing they slowed down after my stress level dropped towards morning. I don't normally have them but on the rare occasions I do, I like knowing what it is. Good point about the thyroid workup as well.

mcscrapper and Zee I'll have to check if potassium levels are listed anywhere. I have posted before that I am not that impressed with my doctor. Depending what happens Friday I will most likely be looking for a new one. He did do thyroid tests after I asked and they are apparently normal. I'm trying to get the things done that I've been working on all weekend and this weekend really just sucks. Everything is taking way more time than usual and it's frustrating. Hoping to get to bed early tonight.
