Anyone know of any good laptop deals? I want something cheap for my son (he is only 12 and has an iPad and school-issued Chromebook). I want to spend around $250. I've found a few things, but nothing really fabulous.

My new paperwhite will arrive Tuesday. My current kindle is an old, old one with a keyboard! I love reading on my kids' paperwhites and decided to get a new one even though my current one works. I feel I so wasteful, but... reading.
I have Kindle Unlimited (so worth it!) and would like to give it as a gift if it would go on sale again. If anyone knows of it, please post. Thanks!
Other good Amazon deals right now are the Echo (Alexa) at $40 off, and Anker chargers. Love Alexa, and I've been very happy with our Anker products.

I haven't seen a Cyber Monday deal yet that wows me. Last year, I scored several great deals. This year is not looking promising so far. I may end up saving myself some money!

YES!!! I love my Kindle Unlimited and wanted to gift it to my kids, but if you want to lock in 24 months, it's a bit spendy at the full price. Kindle Unlimited is on sale today only! Regular price is $9.99 month and no discount for subscribing to a multi-month package. However, today the prices are: 6 months for $44.95 12 months for $80.32 24 months for $143.85 To my knowledge, KU has only gone on sale during BF/CM and Amazon Prime Day. KU does not give you access to every Kindle book (some publishers aren't on board with that). More info here: Kindle Unlimited FAQ Here's the link to the current offerings: Kindle catalogSO HAPPY!

Amazon has good prices today on Fitbits. The HR2 is $109. The Black Friday special at Kohl's / Target was $129. I ordered from Kohl's and got $30 in Kohl's cash, so that sort of makes it $99, but $109 is a good price.

The iron is now showing at $74.01, at least for me. I haven't really seen any great deals so far. This year it seems that it's just another day in the days (week?) long BF sale. Will keep an eye out though as the emails are still rolling in. Save

Gap (Old Navy, Banana Republic) has 50% off everything, including sale prices. For my tall son, who I have to keep supplied in pants, it was great!! I've never seen it off sale prices. I got some cute baby stuff for my niece for practically nothing as well.

For those who like to read their magazines digitally, Texture is having a great sale for new subscriptions. This would be a great add-on for all those tablets! 6 month gift subscription is $40 ($60 for the premium level). There is also a 3 month plan for $10 and a 12 month plan for $75 (both the basic plan. Premium plan gives you access to the weekly magazines (People & other entertainment titles, Time, Newsweek, National Review, Bloomberg Businessweek, etc). Considering I pay $10/month for the basic level subscription, this is a good price! You have full access to over 150 titles, both current and back issues. I've been subscribing for a few years now and love it. It's much cheaper in the long run compared to what my magazine habit was running before tlsmi - have you ordered from that Mac site before? I've never heard of it before and wanted to make sure it has a good track record. There are several brush sets at a good price that would be perfect for a stocking stuffer. ETA: Forgot to add that with Texture, you can use the same account on up to 5 different devices. The only caveat is that Favorites will be the same across all devices. However, it doesn't affect the individual issue downloads. We have 3 devices on our account and have no issues with sharing. Save

Thanks for the heads up! My 6'3" skinny son fits okay in these jeans. I have yet to find a brand that has a skinny enough size waist!

KU Magazines "Every month we choose a selection of top magazine issues for you to borrow as part of your Kindle Unlimited membership." The selection has been very good. Some appear to be regular offerings (they show up every month). Individual issues count toward the ten item KU limit (ten items "out" at a time).

The Old Navy website keeps freezing up on me! eta: finally got in! 3 pairs of mens pants, 2 womens shirts, and 1 boys shirt for $59.20. I was not aware I had $5.00 Old Navy Cash. None of that is for Christmas! Saving for later.

I agree with you 100% about the magazines! They are my self-indulgence. I have favorites and would miss them (well, not really cuz I'd go out and buy them lol) if they weren't available one month. So far, I've been lucky. The KU book & magazine thing is a good deal for those looking to get more bang for their buck and who are not super choosy. Even the book choices are limited to those publishers who participate, though 700,000+ books is hardly a limit! Between the books, magazines, and the sale today, Kindle Unlimited is a bargain for those who will happily read what's available when what they prefer may not be what's being offered at a specific time. It's like going to the library; you can only walk out with what they had, but there's so much to choose from. Even with OverDrive I sometimes have to wait for the book I want. Which gives me time to read something else! Save
