Gorgeous photos. I'm always so jealous of your family trips/hikes. You go to some amazing places. I completely agree! It's wonderful that you do this every year. My DH is also disabled. He walks with crutches. We use a lightweight transport wheelchair if there is a lot of walking. It's something I can easily load and push. We found Yellowstone to be fairly accessible with paved paths at Old Faithful and boardwalks to other areas. We did all the scenic loops available to drive. We have visited quite a few other places, too. I check the websites for drives and accessibility.

Breathtaking pictures, pudgygroundhog. I don't know if I could (well TBH, I'm pretty sure I could NOT) do all that. Thanks for sharing!

Gorgeous! Zion remains one of our all-time favorites. My FIL and I stayed back on Scout's Landing while the rest of the family did Angel's Landing. That was one for which I just couldn't conquer my fear!

Wow, those rock formations are amazing. Reminds me somewhat of the Badlands with the color. Great photography as always.

Fabulous photos - thanks for sharing! I'll have to live the first trails through your photos. I couldn't even make it up Timpanogos without developing vertigo and had to head back down before making the caves - I'd be crawling on the ground and holding onto the chains on those trails. Snow Canyon & Yant Flat looks doable as does the Valley of Fire. The colors in the last two photos are stunning! Yea, definitely not for those with a fear of heights! I don't like exposure, but can do the trails. Doesn't bother my husband a bit. Norah is mostly not bothered either. I think she mostly gets annoyed at me telling to be careful, lol.

Amazing shots as usual! Zion is one of my very favourite places we have ever visited. My favourite shot is the one of Big Bend - just spectacular! How much of the Narrows did you do? When we visited our kids were 5 and 7 and I think we only did the first 2 miles or so. I'd love to go back and do the whole thing. I used the kids as an excuse not to do Angels Landing but to be honest I'm not sure I could do it even without them! It looks terrifying. Thanks! We went about fouriles from the start (three miles) in the river. My husband and I backpacked it top down years ago, but it wasn't the best trip. Actually a lot of ice at the top and it was slow going, which was bad since we were doing it on thana and didn't have a lot of daylight. We barely made it to our campsite just as it was getting dark and before I could have a full blown panic attack, lol. Angel's Landing looks worse than it is, but definitely us still a mental challenge for some. We think observation Point is a better hike anyway.

Wow beautiful! Thanks for sharing! We've done a few of the parks in UT but not Zion. It's funny I saw your post because just last week my husband was watching something and said he wants to hike Zion next year.

As usual I am in awe of your photos. We too have been to Zion during Thanksgiving and I love how different it looks compared to summer. The way the light hits is incredible.
This year we went and stayed near Mendocino. Oh so lovely. Beautiful, rough coastline, towering trees, and a pygmy forest.

Thanks for sharing. In September of 2014 we did a road trip (with our truck camper) to Zion, Bryce, Grand Canyon, Death Valley and Yosemite national parks. I call it our NP tour. So beautiful.
ETA: I did not do the Angel's Landing hike. I'm terribly afraid of heights and when I read the description I just couldn't do it. DH and one of our friends did and got great photos.

Your photos are beautiful, but I always come away from your threads thinking more than anything that your trips are such an incredible gift to your daughter. Getting girls outside and learning confidence in their bodies and appreciation for nature - that's priceless!

I always enjoy your travel photos! Was it cold? I can't imagine getting in that water but maybe it's warmer there than I think.

Your photos are breath taking. My mother in law lives in UT and Zion national park is like her back yard! Gorgeous. I loved valley of fire and Bryce Canyon was my absolute favorite.

But I do hope it's good for her character, even if she doesn't know it. ;-)

I always enjoy your travel photos! Was it cold? I can't imagine getting in that water but maybe it's warmer there than I think. The water was cold - mid 40s I think. And the air temperature was cool too (and most of the canyon is shaded). The dry suits are good though - we were plenty warm with layers underneath and the suits. Towards the end my daughter said her feet were getting cold. We had on neoprene socks and canyon shoes. The drawback of doing the hike this time of year is that it is cold. Nice to do in summer when it's warmer, but there is also increased danger of flash floods (which freak me out a little bit).

Great pics ...thanks for sharing! I want to share them with dgs but I will wait until you get them on pictures from the pudge. (He doesn't need to know about 2peas) he is moving to Arizona in the spring and this is 2nd on his list after grand Canyon.
We went to OK and found a national park we didn't know about . ...Platt. it was changed to a recreational area in the 1980's. it was beautiful and felt like a national park. The fall colors were still very nice, too I hope to get some pics edited soon and share.
