What works with one dog might not work with the next one. Also, a rescue pup that is several months old might have baggage that a younger pup doesn't have, so that might make it more challenging. One of mine were a rescue (she was ten months, and rehomed for the second time), and yes, nipping was one of her vices. Growling at her worked much better than redirecting (as in, redirection didn't work at all). A short, angry growl paired with an angry face stopped her short (maybe only for a few seconds the first days, but then she got progressivly better). When she got super excited, she occasionally forgot herself and would bite on your clothes, but it stopped after we started to give her something to carry when we knew she would get excited about something (family member coming home, people coming over....). She was just the sweetest, kindest and funniest dog ever (and after hundreds of hours of work, our most obedient dog), and fifteen years later, I still miss her so much.

Adorable!!! Honestly with that beard and those wild eyes you are going to have your hands full! Terriers are a lot of fun and have such spirited personalities. My terrier mix loves her soft toys and chews on them for comfort when she is excited or anxious. Be consistent and work it out. I'm sure she is super smart and will learn quickly! She is my third terrier mix. My older girl is terrier/schizu, one of my boys was a terrier/poodle. I love the terrier eyes. This one is a cutie pie for sure. I have tried, so far, a little of everything. We have some really good moments, then Cujo comes out! LOL
