Tonight I'm going to make chicken fajita pasta. Picky ds loves it and it's nice to make something that everyone will eat without grunting. Youngest ds is trying to be a lot healthier. His new kick is smoothies with yogurt in the am, so that I can clean up the explosion after he leaves for school. How do you get blueberries on the floor 5 feet away from the counter? What's on your menu? Have a glorious Thursday. Happy Birthday to our very own newlywoods03. Wishing you a very happy and long celebration.

How do you get blueberries on the floor 5 feet away from the counter? That boy has talent! A very Happy Birthday wish to newlywoods03! I hope you enjoy your day (despite the rain)! Tonight we're having the sesame beef I cooked yesterday. I've got several vegetables to choose from to add to the beef and sauce, but for sure there will be pea pods. I'll heat up the egg rolls I got from dh's favorite Chinese take-out while I'm oven-cooking rice and roasting some butternut squash.

Happy birthday, newlywoods03I made pitta bread (yes, I made them from scratch) today. Filled with chicken and vegetables. DD is home sick today, so I've spent mist of the day planning our NYC trip.

Thanks for the birthday wishes, friends! Blessed me! I was rudely awakened around 5:30am by crazy loud rain! Of course everyone else stayed asleep until the alarm went off at 6:45. The sun is out now, I tossed my diet aside to get my favorite coffee drink, sat at the beach for a bit.. Having a good day! Dh took the day off. Our plan is to go out for dinner. I'm thinking Mexican sounds lovely. If I'm not on my diet today, I'd better make it count right. Carb city

Today is dd's 14th Birthday!!! She chose to have In & Out for dinner.
Dd will have double meat, protein style, spread only with fries and a rootbeer.
Dh will have a cheese burger no onion, cheese fries, and drink.
I will have a cheese burger, animal style, no tomato with cheese fries and a dr. pepper.
Ds will have his medical formula EleCare Jr and a few bites of fries.
Eta: stopped at Muffin Top, a gf and vegan bakery in town and got dd her cherry turnover, dh some rum balls, and myself a chocolate french pasterie.

Happy Birthday to you, newlywoods03! We're going to have shrimp curry with rice. Tomorrow we're driving to South Carolina to get our puppy. She's 7 weeks old and ready to leave mama. She's also 13.8 pounds! So we'll be eating dinner with my brother's family and spending the night there, then heading home with Shiloh on Saturday morning. We're so excited!

Happy bday, newlywoods03! It is bright and sunny here at the moment. I found some some giant chicken breasts in the freezer, so I took them out. Haven't thought beyond that point. Honestly, it may end up being fast food at the rate I'm going today. Well, I think I could manage one of those one-dish things where I put them in a baking dish along with cut up potatoes and veggies (if I can find anything besides cabbage in there!) and roast the whole darn thing for 45 minutes.

We had ham and potato salad with grape tomatoes for lunch/dinner. Had enough that we will have ham sandwiches tomorrow with potato salad.

Bahahaha - Leanne, I love the Costco meme! And happy, happy bday, dear newlywoods03! I amazed myself at the beginning of the week and baked premade, stuffed chicken breasts with spinach and feta and boiled some sausage the same night. I had dinner for a few nights. My plan was to have pasta and peppers with the sausage, but somehow, that didn't happen. Anywho, tonight, I am taking the boys out for something fairly quick. Oh, Tues. night, I went to a *free" screening of "A Dog's Purpose." It was beyond adorable! I took DS2 and his sweet girl. Thinking of you and the boy/s, lucyg and newlywoods03. I was frustrated to see the PETA post circulating about the poor treatment of the German shepherd the following day. I hope it's not true. Lisa

Nicksmom please post puppy pictures when you're home with Shiloh Oh, I sure will! She is a husky-Great Pyrenees mix. She has the gray-black markings and blue eyes of a husky, but I think she's going to be the size of a Pyrenees! Save

My last day in Australia, and I've woken up to teaming rain - even the sky is sad I am going! Last night we had tickets for the soccer - DS and DDiL are club members of one of the teams here, so have tickets to all home matches - so we ate at the game. We had German sausages with sauerkraut and mustard in a bun - I did joke with my son that I didn't need to travel all this way to eat that! My son will be treating me to lunch before we head to the airport, then my meals will be at the mercy of Emirates Airlines for 28 hours.

It's alternated between sun/blue skies and rain. One or the other would be fantastic haha. I think it's due to start raining again this evening and tomorrow shows 75-100% for the day. Yuck!

A very happy birthday to newlywoods03! Thursday is almost always a good dinner night because it's my Publix shopping day. The fridge is full! For me tonight, a big fruit salad and some toast. It's the time of winter I begin to crave out of season fruit, so tonight it's strawberries, blueberries, cataloupe and pineapple. Yum! I'll make DH his favorite pepper/ground beef/rice skillet meal. So, a question for all. Do you post your dinner plans and then come back later to check in on everyone else? I sure do. It's so much more than reading about your dinners. If I don't come back, I feel like I've missed out on what everyone is doing today! For example, it was after 10 p.m. last night when I came back to the thread and found anxiousmom had a new job. Yea for you!!!
