Wicked is my favorite musical. Although soundtrack wise I really enjoy Mamma Mia. I haven't had the chance to see all that many productions though. That is a bucket list to do for me.

It's incredibly hard to pick just one. I almost hate to choose. I feel disloyal to all my favorites!

Les Miserables. I also find the music from Miss Saigon to be very poignant.

Hamilton. It's in a class by itself.
From recent Bway shows, I guess I should add American in Paris. I think I saw it 5 times. Dd thinks I might have seen it more than that. I lost track! I won the ticket lottery a few times, went with some friends and took dd to see it in previews.
From classic shows, Guys and Dolls, mostly because I was in 2 different productions and saw the Bway revival with Faith Prince and Nathan Lane. West Side Story goes without saying, as does Pippin.
From the distant past, A Chorus Line (saw the original a bunch of times plus the revival), Chess (not sure I'd want to see a revival) and Barnum.

Probably Wicked is my favorite. It's really very hard to pick 1 as well for me. I loved the recent version of South Pacific we saw in San Francisco last year through SHN.

The Lion King. I've seen Les Mis, Wicked, and Phantom - which are all fantastic, but The Lion King is just my favorite all around in terms of plain wow factor and music .

I think Les Misérables will always be my favourite. I've seen it live twice and when the movie came out it had been a few years since I'd seen it...then sitting through the film, I remembered why it blew me away all over again.

One? If it has to be one, then Rent.
I have a Broadway musicals playlist on my i-Tunes and love to sing along loudly when driving alone. (There... you even got a confession out of me.)
I also have to give a nod to A Chorus Line. My sorority sisters and I wore that album out in the dorm.

From the distant past, A Chorus Line (saw the original a bunch of times plus the revival), Chess (not sure I'd want to see a revival) and Barnum. My high school did Barnum back in the '80s. I was in the orchestra. Don't hear much about it anymore - it's still one of my favorites, too!

I can't pick! It would be like picking a favorite child.
I can answer for my husband though. Hands down its Rent. This April we will be seeing it for the 4th time and he's so excited. It was his first musical and he did not want to go. He wouldn't go for me but his favorite aunt bought tickets and to please her, he went. By the end of the show, he was crying, cheering and hooked on live theater.

Phantom, without a doubt. We are going to see it again next month.
I say that having not seen Hamilton, though. I have listened to the soundtrack and loved it. I may be swayed to have two favorites if I ever get to see it in person, and I heard Wayne Brady is joining the cast. If that's true, I'm going to have to go see it. Love Wayne!

I saw Motown last year and it was really good. We also love The Lion King. I haven't seen Rent so I can't give an opinion. Sounds like I need to see it. I'm in the minority on Wicked. I just didn't like it. Saw it twice too. I love Wizard of Oz. We have lLittle Mermaid tickets Sunday and a Chorus Line next month. Carole King might be May. I'm going to track down Rent somewhere relatively close.

That's a tough one! I'd have to say that West Side Story was the first musical to completely amaze and move me. I still love it after all these years. In the play category? I'd choose A View from the Bridge .

Lion King (but I'm a little prejudice because DD works on the tour)
next in line would be: Wicked Mama Mia Forty Second Street Frankenstein the Musical My Favorite Year
DD's next show will be on Broadway working with Aladdin - I can't wait to see that one too!
