Oh my word, we need this in my town!!! I have been eating cookie dough since I was a young girl, and my girls have the same passion for cookie dough. We have always chosen to ignore the raw egg warnings. This stuff looks awesome!

I knew what this was going to be before I opened the post. I have a group of friends that we periodically do "eat-a-thons" in NYC and I had previously sent this to them asking when our next eat-a-thon was going to be. I love cookie dough too!

Not sure if we have a cookie dough store, but we have a cookie dough cart. He's always at big concerts, festivals and food truck events.
I'm a Yasso bar addict and I buy up the entire inventory of the chocolate cookie dough ones. whenever they are in stock!

It looks like there is something similar in suburban Chicago (Naperville). But, the guy needs to update his About Us page. He claims to be the only place on the planet to get raw, edible cookie dough. www.cookiedoughcreations.com/aboutus.html

We have a fancy bakery nearby that has a chocolate chip cookie dough cupcake/cake on their menu. The cake part is a regular chocolate cake.... but the frosting tastes like cookie dough and then they press mini chocolate chips into the frosting. It is to die for. Or you can skip the cupcake/cake and just buy cookie dough shots in cute little shot glasses.

So I wonder if they do anything besides just removing the eggs to make it "safe"?

Bucket List: Go eat cookie dough in NYC.
Love the stuff. It's the best part of the cookie.

I love cookie dough. I'm unsure I could eat that much in one sitting, though. Having said that, the ice cream, sandwich version in the video looks doable.
I see the eggs and flour are treated to make it safe to eat.

I have been eating raw cookie dough for probably 45+ years along with my sister, my mom, and now my girls. No problems. My favorite around here is the cookie dough from Papa Murphy's pizza. YUM!

The cookie dough from Papa Murphy's doesn't have eggs in it. My daughter learned that from one of her teachers so I looked it up and sure enough it does not. I never let my kids eat raw cookie dough. When my oldest daughter was a baby there were a couple of bad outbreaks of salmonella and e coli, so I've always been really careful with my kids about this kind of thing. My youngest daughter had her first taste of raw cookie dough when it was served in a college cafeteria and she loved it, so now and then we buy a container from Papa Murphy's. Documentaries like Food 911 have made me have zero faith in food safety.

I have been known to make cookies with Egg Beaters just so I could lick the bowl! I know exactly where that is - it's right near NYU's music & education school, where I have spent quite a bit of time! I may have to go pay a visit. You know, for nostalgia's sake...
