We took some dishes that have been in DH's family. From a distance the look like Blue Willow, but when examined, they have cows in a field as the mid plate image. We have never seen others like them, nor had the appraiser. Appraiser pointed out that another unusual feature was the cups are china, but plates and saucer are pottery. He could not give a value or tell us any more information.

We have a fabric panel from the Spanish American War that was originally given to my great grandparents by their neighbor, who fought with an African American unit in Cuba. It depicts Columbia liberating the people of Cuba from the Spanish. I've never seen anything else like it, even the image depicted.

I would take these. The red cut glass creamer and sugar bowl belonged to my great aunt Rose. They were from her wedding dishes. Sadly, her finance was in a buggy wreck, the buggy overturned and he was killed before the wedding. I'm sure they aren't of any value (except to me), there's no maker's name that I can find.

This was my grandmother's spoon holder. It has a few chips and cracks but otherwise in fairly good shape. It's stamped with Alfred Meakin Ltd England.
View Attachment I have that pitcher with my name engraved on it. Be very careful with them and wrap them in bubble wrap or fabric. Paper will scratch the paint off.

I once took a piece of my antique pottery. I taught them more about the pottery than they were able to share with me.

I did a quick search, Pinterest has the pitcher at $18. If I were selling I would probably list the set for $50. They were made around the turn of the century. I would really love to see the dishes in that set.

I have a mesh purse similar to this that was my grandmothers. I am not sure what year she was born in (I know that is bad, but she died when I was young) but my dad was the last child born. He was born in 1922.

I have an old microscope that was given to me by my ex's grandfather. It was given to him when he was a young man by an elderly friend. This friend happened to be the man Thomas Edison hired in the installation of electricity somewhere... I think NYC. I also have a bunch of slides he made in South America. With its history ( in a letter ), I always wondered if it had any value. It's pretty cool, anyway.
