I always enjoy threads like this and thought I would think of something to add, but I can't top an artificial eye or an IUD. It sure has been fun reading the stories though!

My dad's little black comb. He always kept it in his pants pocket and used it now and then to tame his hair after a strong breeze or a fun ride at the boardwalk. I remember him doing that whenever I see the comb.

A 4-1/2 ft tall wooden giraffe. And it's 3-1/2 ft tall companion. My late mother -in- law actually bequeathed them to me. In her will. I have no idea why. I knew she had them, but they were never mentioned or discussed.
I sold them in a garage sale. A lady bought them as a gag gift for a wedding shower.

My dad's library card, it has his signature on the back and I share his love of libraries. My mom had half a knitted dishcloth started when she died so I switched colors and finished it. I use it and it makes me smile. I'm not sure if I remember which half was which!

My grandma's glow in the dark rosary that hung on her wall. Not as good as a glass eye or IUD! I also have some nightgowns that she had made for (I'm guessing) the grand kids when they/we were little (I don't think her kids wore them but who knows). And I have a couple of her aprons. I can't wear them they probably wouldn't even fit my 8 year old. She was TEENY TINY.. I think her apron would fit one of my legs.

I have a pin that belonged to my great grandmother. I got it from my mom and just the other day, I was looking at a picture of my ggm and she had it on! I didn't know it was hers.

After someone passes away. My dad passed April 7th. I took a few of his flannel shirts he wore all the time and my boys and husband have a few cherished items too. One thing dad had was a pair of cowboy boots he's had for years but hadnt worn in a while. Both my sister and I expressed wanting them (nom didn't) and she finally said we can each have one. Now I'm trying to find something to "do" with it...but know i wanted it. What's something different you may have? When my great uncle passed my great aunt had his cowboy boots bronzed. I believe she actually used them as planters in the entry way the last time I saw them.

Just my in put with the cowboy boot, many years ago my brother took one and put dried flowers in it, eventually won a ribbon at the county fair for it.

Unfortunately I don't have anything unique, but loved reading all these stories.
