Is there one tool, product, line or anything that you feel every scrapper should have? Just a fluff post but this could turn into enabling..
Mine is the teflon bone folder. It is my favourite thing.
And the Magnetic plate for the big shot. I always tell people to buy one.

Very good question!
I'm going to go with micro tip scissors. I personally cannot exist without my hermafix repositionable dotto - between my husband and my scrappy BFF I got about 40 rolls for my birthday. But adhesive is subjective. So I choose scissors; either cutter bee or fiskars microtip.

I liked my Cutterbee scissors too. I packed them for moving a few years ago, and they still haven't surfaced. They're hiding somewhere in the basement with my clear stamps and my CM mini paper cutter.
My favorite tool though is probably my ATG. I like that it's huge and that I don't have to even look at it to figure out which way is up or down.

My Cameo! Couldn't live without it! Use it for layouts, cards, home decor, clothes, gifts. Seriously, it is THE best thing I've ever purchased!

My ATG (just bought my second one after 7 years)! Also my huge fiskars ruler (3"x18")- I used that thing for everything until it went missing... now I miss it with every project.

I was going to say my Sizzix magnetic platform, but someone has already mentioned that. I also have a metal shim I got from Taylored Expressions that adds just the right amount of extra pressure for some thin dies.
I also love a couple of different tools for cutting circles. My Creative Memories cutting system is still going great. Besides circles I also have ovals, which I use from time to time, and a set with a square and a diamond which I don't use much at all. And I have the EK Success Curvy cutter system for larger circles--up to at least 12" in diameter.

I agree with the Teflon bone folder and Sizzix magnetic platform, those are awesome!
There are a few items I have that I feel are essential:
EK Success tweezers (I like that these are reverse action, saves your hand from strain)
T ruler (because heaven knows I can't get anything straight on my own!)
Spatula for removing items off a Cameo mat (I use it for lots of other things too)
And the Pick Me Up or Quickstix tool for placing small embellishments

Definitely the clear zero center ruler; I have the EK Success one and use it all the time. I would also say a tab punch I use it frequently.

hmmm... this is a tough one because so many of these things are personal preference, aren't they? I can't narrow it down to just one-- two is as close as I can come, I think- and I know these two wouldn't be other peoples' cup of tea due to size considerations. My recommendations are: 1) a 12-inch guillotine paper cutter. (It's SO much easier to lay the paper on the flat bed of the cutter, and it's tons easier to get straight cuts; the other ones always seem to put a tiny curve at the very end of the cut.) The Tonic 12 inch cutter is the one I have, and although it was a bit expensive, I think it was well worth the money. 2) The ATG gun. The rolls of adhesive last SUCH a long time, it's easy to use, it holds well so you don't need use a ton of adhesive on your projects but the adhesive is fairly easy to remove if you need to, and if you use a light touch when you first position things, you can lift up a piece of paper to move it if you need to. Both of these things have made scrapping a lot more enjoyable / quicker for me- I even take my full-size guillotine cutter to crops with me. But like I said, I know both of these things are probably personal choices. Now I'm off to read other people's responses.

Decent cardstock. I recommend the My Colors Cardstock line. There, I said it.
I'm a big supporter of getting your basics right. All the rest is luxury and luxury can be nice, even very nice. But if you have your essentials covered, you can do wonders and have fun with barely anything else. I'm all about encouraging passion at a level where it's affordable for all.

I know someone else already said a large ruler, but I want to second that one. Since I am straight-line challenged, a clear ruler helps a TON. I also have the Fiskars 3 inch x 18 inch clear ruler. It's SO helpful for keeping things in line across both pages of a two-page layout, and the fact that it's clear helps a LOT. If I want to position a piece of paper 1.5 inches down from the top of the page, for example, I can just lay the ruler down on top of the paper and very clearly see where 1.5 inches from the edge is.

My OTT light! Best thing about it is that it is so helpful for more than just scrapping. The one I have is small and battery operated so I can easily move it to wherever I am working...scrap desk, sewing table, etc.

I've never been happier since I stopped using my ATG and moved to the Kokuyo tape runner. It works like a charm and doesn't give me problems.

Undu adhesive remover. Works magic!
If you have (or want to buy) a fuse tool, the fuse mat with holster is a game changer!

Scorpal Tonic Guillotine Cutterbee scissors A couple of different adhesives - like scortape and a liquid one like To,bow multi

My 12x18 self-healing cutting mat. I don't normally cut directly on it, but it's a great work surface and keeps my desk clean.

My ATG. My first one was wonky and my second one works perfectly.

I can't imagine how I used to work on a regular surface without a cutting mat on the table! Especially when I travel to a crop; the 3-day crop I attend at the hotel has tablecloths on the tables- yuck! I take my 24x36 cutting mat with me to work on. (just don't leave it in the car for any length of time, otherwise it will soften up and warp when it cools off again-- ask me how I know that, lol.!)

It's all about the adhesive for me.
Scotch double sided permanent tape. And Scotch liquid glue with a fine point tip.
Also pop dots are great. Dimension changes a layout so much.

Cutterbee scissors and a good quality trimmer, I have the cutterpillar pro and love it but trimmers are a personal preference between rotary or guillotine.

For me, I would recommend an electronic die cutter and/or a manual die cutter (for me my cameo and big kick).

Several things have been mentioned like the cutterbee scissors, and tombow green I personally love the precision base plate for the big shot....perfect cuts every time As I am a mixed media lover, I absoloutely adore the ranger heat it tool, and also the finnabair silicone brush for spreading mediums through stencils.....ahhhhh stencils ( may have a wee obsession here)
