He claims he didn't know that his Russian counterpart was in the same venue as he...and there is a photo of them standing across from one another.
He's a disgrace to the office of AG.
Republicans--this is your fault!

Are these guys afraid that Kamala Harris might actually run for presidency? Oh Sessions, get your shit together and answer her question

He has no knowledge of Flynn or anyone else having Russian connections. Wasn't Flynn fired for his connections and payments and meetings with the Russians.........
ETA: Oh wait he was fired for lying to the VP...
Harris is a sharp cookie and she called him on talking to stall..

yes, but he recused himself, so he [says he] wasn't told anything... isn't that convenient?

yes, but he recused himself, so he [says he] wasn't told anything... isn't that convenient? Was he recused for Flynn or just Comey? And Comey was fired for poor job performance. And yes there was a lot of discussion about DT being upset that Sessions recused himself.

he said he recused himself from anything to do with the Russia investigation altogether.

Not to mention that while in some instances, he gave answers (speeches) BUT he wasn't answering the questions asked.
Just like Betsy DeVos has done.
They take a line to just answer what they want, instead of answering what is actually asked of them.

I am just now watching (I was on a literal island today without service). The exchange with Senator Harris is one of the most smug, embarrassing pieces of testimony I have ever seen. He could not be saying "eff you" to the law, to the process, and to the American people any more clearly. And he is laughing about it, because he knows the GOP will back him, and in fact are actively abetting him.
We are really reaching a low point on the rule of law in this country.

He "doesn't remember" so many things!! I agree. It is to the point that I believe it is concerning and should be addressed seriously. Perhaps it is medical and he should have it checked out. But whatever the cause, I believe someone in that office should have a better ability to recall details. Interesting. He can't cite the policy! Exactly. That is extremely telling.

Did anyone else get the vibe that he seemed a little nervous about how his "boss" would take today's hearings??? I did. He seemed to be SO very careful about saying anything that might upset 45. Maybe he was truly worried about saving his own skin.

SO true!!! I felt like slapping his smiling little red face. He is so very smug whilest attempting to seem like a sweet soul. He is just another soul-less, morally bankrupt criminal in the White House. It is a new low in this country.

It's just not true--I always tell my students that once they lose their integrity, they are useless as lawyers and the law is useless as a foundation of civil society. I am finding these past several months to be among the most demoralizing I have experienced as a lawyer shaping new lawyers. I may not have been a huge fan of some of Comey's professional decisions, but it was clear during his testimony that he was a prepared, competent witness trying to answer the questions posed to him with integrity. This is something else entirely.

This is something else entirely. I've been interested in the field of law since I was about 13 years old. I had to be home-schooled because of an accident I had, and I spent a lot of my time hanging around my dad's home-office. He was an attorney who handled mostly P.I. work and estate work. I learned quickly how to draft a Last Will and Testament, and it grew from there. I worked by his side until I was 21 and then worked in other law offices. I was a certified Paralegal (there were no tests or school programs back then--you just had to work beside a general practitioner for a # of years). I worked for my sister (a lawyer) and then my (then) husband (a lawyer) & we opened up our own practice. So, yes, I know of many lawyers who still have morals and integrity. I've been watching these hearings whilest on the edge of my seat. I get angry and upset. I did cheer Comey on because I felt that he was one of a select few who actually care about upholding the law (sans the entire HRC public display situation). Law still interests me even though I haven't worked in the field in over 15 years now.

Maybe he was truly worried about saving his own skin. No doubt! Should be obvious after the 'love fest' from yesterday. And as I said on that thread, anyone who saw that should have no doubt that each and everyone had in some way pledged their loyalty to DT and that is how they keep their jobs! Specifically on Sessions, his memory is extremely concerning, discounting that it is deliberate on his part, most of the questions are from the last few months, but for sure only the last year. He reviewed his info before today and he still had great difficulty remembering things.

Maybe he was truly worried about saving his own skin. he got flustered a couple times, and stumbled over his answers- he got hot under the collar, and said 'you're making me nervous!' Really?? the attorney general of the United States? a man who's been in politics for YEARS?? seriously? I think he chose his [noncommittal & vague] words very carefully when he was answering a few of those questions. 'as of TODAY' and wording like that. and I think he rambled on purposefully so as to NOT answer the questions. He did not need to expound on EVERY Yes/No question with a story... eta: and he (and some of the Republican committee members) worked REALLY hard to malign James Comey's character and make it sound like his answers to the committee were not truthful, or that he didn't know his job).

Love Kristen Powers clap back. Well done! Miller *is* scum!! He had to recuse himself from any appointed position in the White House because he was caught having an affair with someone in the campaign. His face reminds me of an ass (seriously) and his mouth is the hole. Now you'll vomit every time you see him, as I do!!!!!!! He is amongst the most idiotic of 45's ass-kissing team.

Watch Kirsten Powers smack down the "Kamala was hysterical" claims. A thing of beauty is a joy forever. Twice I've seen Burr interrupt Harris because he found her questioning to be harsh or badgering (once with Sessions and the other was last week with Rosenstein). This coupled with Miller's hysterical characterization are so disheartening. Women really need to be kept in their place by these guys. SaveSave

He can't cite the policy because it doesn't exist. It is not that he can't remember, he's just lying. I agree with @bergdorfblonde I think he knows trump is crazy and is afraid of him. I also wanted to slap that vile little smirk off of his face.
