That is a DH responsibility. Every now and then I have to remind him, it's time.
But in all fairness, he washes it by hand, so sometimes it's just too hot, or we're too busy on the weekend.

Now my car is totally covered with dead bugs after my road trip and I normally take it to the good car wash at this point. Problem is a truck pulling a camper kicked up a rock in front of me on my way home and put a nice half dollar sized spiderweb crack in the middle of the windshield. Of my almost brand new car.

We live in the country, so mine seems to be always dirty. But after winter and the rainy season is the worst. I paid ds $5 to clean it in May. He even cleaned a bit inside. But I've been wanting to really clean out the inside, just haven't gotten to it yet.

No I don't. But that's because my husband is obsessive about our cars and takes mine (and his) through the car wash every weekend and vaccums it out. In the summer he also waxes it a few times and uses armoral on the inside, cleans inside windows etc. We just went on vacation (long road trip) and he did all that before we left. Then took it to a car wash/detail shop once we arrived at our destination and then when we got home he took it through the car wash again. Seems obsessive to me, but it makes him happy and is good for resale value.

We have our own wash bay at our shop. Our guys wash their works trucks a few days a week. Even a quick rinse to get the dust off if it's not mud or winter salt season. I wash my car as needed, couple times a month. When it's dusty, muddy or salty. I went on the gravel roads yesterday so it's dusty and I'll wash it today. Even if we didn't have our own washer I'd be washing it just as often.

Ever since drought restrictions made it an offense to wash your car in your drive way I've stopped making it a priority. The car I mainly drive is an off roading vehicle, so it isn't pretty even when it is clean. I do keep the inside vacuumed and free of trash/excess junk. It also has tall tires so it doesn't fit in most drive thru car washes.

Every time I watch Hoarders, I feel compelled to jump up during commercials and clean something. See I don't feel that. I always look around and think that my house looks really good! Even if I have a few messes it's still miles ahead of those houses! My car doesn't get washed very much. I might hand wash it at home 2 times a year and run it through the car wash 2 times as well. The inside gets wiped down a tad more frequently than that because the dust on the dash and all over drives me crazy!

I wish. My snowshoes and poles and extra gloves are still in there.
