On Facebook Paige Evans showed a sneak peek of her new collection as featured in the new Scrapbook & Cards Today Magazine. Link to the picturePersonally, I like the paper airplanes, but I'll probably pass on much of this collection.

Another pinkxplosion collection with the usual suspects when it comes to pattern and design choices. Pass!
Pink Paislee always impresses and surprises me more when it's a non-Paige line. Although, granted, this line is apparently being marketed as an American Crafts collection? Not sure what's happening there. The packaging is clearly branded Pink Paislee. Somebody messed up the press release, methinks, and mixed up the brand names.

Hers has always released under pink paislee which, is owned by American crafts. Yeah, I know. But the image says "Paige Evans for American Crafts" and then repeats in the text it's a "brand spankin' new collection from American Crafts." Somebody messed up the press release or memo that was sent out. She's clearly still designing for Pink Paislee. Doesn't matter they're under the AC umbrella. Disclaimer: I'm in a cranky mood tonight. I might be coming off harsher than usual. Apologies. "Harsher than usual, is that even possible?", they all gasp.

How are those masculine geometrics when they are pink?

Looks like lots of other stuff we've already seen - more of a 'pinksplosion' than anything (using sleepingbooty's phrase). However no doubt I'll end up with some of it in my CD kit.

Saving me some money...all of what I can afford to spend will likely end up going toward Fall releases as per usual. I need to get my butt in gear with some 12x12's as I haven't made a dent in my most recent acquisitions, let alone the ones from prior years. I'm a sucker for Autumnal lines...says the girl who usually hates cream and struggles with brown the rest of the year, lol.

How are those masculine geometrics when they are pink? For the colour-blind men in your life...

Hmm...no weird zoo animals, random food, specific phrases, or people...this looks like a pleasantly generic line to me, meaning it should be pretty versatile for lots of pics. The colours may not be my favourite, but I would definitely like to see more of this.

I like the colors but I don't care for the design. 'Pinkxplosion'. I like pink but even I'm getting tired of it.

Are hexagons coming back into "trendiness" already? I will have been around this hobby for 10 years in October. I think I've officially been around long enough to see trends come in, go out, and come back around again! Not sure if I should be happy or sad, lol.

Nope. I still have a bad taste from her "inspiration" mood board look that ended up in one of her collections as way more plagiarization than inspiration. Had to go find the thread: 2peasrefugees.boards.net/post/1005620/thread

Here is a better picture of the paper To me it feels like they couldn't narrow down to a cohesive color palette - I see cream, grey, red-orange, pinky red, pink, purple-pink, turquoise, light blue, medium blue, navy, emerald green, mint, green-yellow, and "harvest gold" (for lack of a kinder name). Thirteen Fourteen colors. I know that eclectic approach to color is kind of her "style" when she scrapbooks, but as a scrapbook collection it doesn't feel like it all belongs together. I doubt I'll be getting anything from this.

That second photo makes it so hard to tell if I actually like anything in this collection. I usually only pick up a couple of pieces from her collections and so far I'm not really seeing anything that makes me want to jump out of the freezer and start shopping.
