I challenge thee to use that item, tool, paper you've been hoarding for 3 years, embellishment, or long lost technique on a layout.
For me it's embossing folders, why don't I use the silly things? Today they come out of the Ziploc bag and get used on a layout!
Before yesterday I would have said my Cricut (baby bug) but I dragged it out yesterday to cut fonts because I'm too lazy to use my Silhouette (in another room with the computer) Pooh font is my favorite but I hate that I can't weld and that infernal beeping noise (even with the sound turned off).
I also might get my typewriter out today, although it's like a kid magnet and they won't leave me alone to use it...
Use all the stuff. Make awesome layouts.

I have a WRMK envelope punch board I still haven't opened. I know it's supposed to be great, but I guess I don't make cards as much as I used to

You should add what you've decided to use to the monthly I Challenge You thread. Our hostess has set up the challenge so you choose each month whatever unloved item you want. We post what we're going to use and then share our success projects. I'm using embossing folders this month too. I'm on my phone so can't link it at the moment.

Here's the link to the June Challenge. dasmith2 started this challenge a couple of months ago for us. It's one of my favorites. Obviously the two of you have great minds and think alike.

It's amazing how Peas think alike. I was just thinking yesterday how I need to start using those embossing folders--haven't touched them in ages. I want to try the technique where you ink them then run them through the machine. Thanks for the nudge. I'll be dragging those out next week.

Remember when the infamous Fiskars 'Threading Water' border punch was so popular at Two Peas? I jumped on that bandwagon and never.used.it.

My notebook border punch. It's one of those things that looked so cute when other people used it and I just had to have it. Then I got one and barely used it.

The other day I was flipping through some old mags, and I saw that punch and spent forever staring at it trying to figure out why it was called "Threading Water". That was during my scrapping sabbatical, so I totally missed it. I haven't used an embossing folder in forever, either, and I've been looking at them lately trying to decide what I'm going to do with them. I even bought a new one a week or two ago, so now I really have to pull them out and play with them!

I have a WRMK envelope punch board I still haven't opened. I know it's supposed to be great, but I guess I don't make cards as much as I used to I have this in a special card making box- along with sentiment stamps from Stampin up- all brand new and never used. One day I WILLl make some cards! I loved the Threading water punch and used it a lot- now you have reminded me to bring down the box of border punches and use them. I have some really nice ones too. And yes I too have lots of embossing folders that need to be used. Corinne

We Peas have lots of great ideas! I managed to use an embossing folder on one of my pages this month its a page I did for Chinagirls stash challenge- this month I have hit scrappers block and pages are not coming easy to me

Thanks for the reminder. I have lots of fun stuff I need to use instead of just letting it sit in a drawer.
In fact, I just need to get back to scrapping. I had to stop while we renovated, packed, moved halfway across the country, and unpacked. My scrapping room is set up enough I should be able to use it now.
Like my unused tools, I need to dust myself off and scrap again.

I just used chipboard shapes last night that I thought were the cutest things, I don't know how long ago, and then just plopped them into my stash and forgot.
Feels good to get the package open.

Embossing folders were used... although I thought I had more than I found in my collection (mostly floral and paisley ones) Did I dream I owned more, or are the rest hiding in my stash somewhere?
Weird.
Yesterday I also used a strip of Cosmo Cricket paper that I saw used on an awesome layout (in about 2008) and that has been floating around in my stash ever since...

Embossing folders, WRMK envelope and banner punches..l gave away the alphabet one. Stamps. One thing I just started using again....circle punches. And I love the lifetime supply of magic mesh I found on ebay.

I have that border punch! Had no idea that's what it was called. I use it still. I came back to paper crafting in 2011-ish. Luckily i didn't go too overboard on supplies so i pretty much use what i have. I do need to use my big shot more. I'm a pretty clean scrapper/card maker so i tend to not use my supplies a ton unless i plan it out.

Oh, just ebay'd to see what the Threading Water punch was...glad I missed that must have. Frankly it is scrappy laziness that I haven't used it, for me it's easier to use a border die in my Big Shot. I only have 2 border punches, that and the Martha Stewart doily lace edge and I like the patterns they make, I just need to get them out and use them.

I have both the Threading Water edger and the notebook edger. I use the notebook edge more frequently. I love the edgers that are larger, so my Threading Water punch hangs in my closet in my shoe holder.

Brother Scan & Cut2 is my nemesis. I finally dusted the thing off last night and I still can't get it to do what I want it to do. I bought it in August. Fuse Tool is another. I used that thing exactly once. Thank goodness I scooped it up on sale with a coupon @ Michael's so it was around $13. Brother Scan & Cut was way too expensive considering I've cut a single phrase.

For me it is the papers. I love them and want to save them for a special project. Gotta get over that.

Remember when the infamous Fiskars 'Threading Water' border punch was so popular at Two Peas? I jumped on that bandwagon and never.used.it. Good luck with that one. I have one and have tried to use it several times, but the paper keeps jamming in it! I accepted dasmith2's challenge this month, and decided to use my stamps. Managed to use some on some pages and a few cards. I use some punches and some dies and some embossing folders each month, but there are definitely a lot of individual ones that have never been allowed out of the package. It has been awhile since I used any mixed media, and I think it is about time to start playing with that again, especially for summer pages with water in them. Might make that my goal for July.

I have the threading water punch (had to Google, I don't know my punches names), I didn't know there was a controversy over it. Huh. And mine works fine. I'm going to have to use it today

I found something in my stash today that I can add to this thread. Overlays for photos like these but not these exact ones. Thankfully I only bought one package when I did buy them. I just found them in a little drawer on my desk. I'm making myself use on on my next layout.
