We've survived the chandelier trend, herds of foxes, mustaches on everything, pineapples, and flamingos...
What about cows? Think of the cow print background possibilities...

I could make it work. I live rural; county fairs, dairy farms (family owns one), rodeos, and of course there's many corny phrases you could use in regards to cows. Cowabunga, Holy Cow (you're old, that's amazing), Don't have a Cow Man... Bovine could probably used some way. Years ago, in elementary school, my son dressed up as a cowboy for DARE week. We used to have a Woody costume that had the cow looking vest.

I'd like to see some electronics motifs. Computers, laptops, cell phones, iPads, gaming consoles, words like "text", "gaming", "browsing", "online", "message". I've only seen these things in boy collections, and then it's usually just game controllers. I probably wouldn't make too many 12x12s about electronics, but I'd use the heck out of it for project life and other pocket page projects.

I say bring on the cow print!!

Thought of another one; it would be great for travels. An old ghost town or places that have a Western feel to them like Jackson Hole, Wyoming.

You know what I haven't seen?
Water balloons. And Super Soakers (though I'm not sure if they would print water guns, for PC reasons).
I think enamel dots in "water drop color" like a shimmer-y, barely there blue, or something else water-like would be fun.

I am always on the hunt for western and farm themes. Cows, horses, especially. Pole fences, boots, hats & ropes. Tractors. Would pair well with denim and old barn boards.

Maybe not cows, although of course the dairy industry is important to New Zealand.

...should be QUALITY!
As a theme-challenged scrapper, I say forget the themes & focus on quality. Manufacturers should stop mass producing the same junk in China, offer fewer embellishments (that end up shipped in bulk to discount stores anyway) if necessary, & produce versatile & quality supplies. (AC, I'm looking at you!)

I got the shark paper from Photo Play. I love it. The stickers are pretty funny. I have tons of beach pictures, so it will be perfect. Now maybe a line of octopus papers or some other water creature who might have an endearing quote or two.
Exhausted parent line? Instead of live laugh love, what about count to 10, lock myself in the bathroom, or smothered by diapers? I see quite a few that talk about raising kids and needing wine, by I think it could be expanded.
The divorced line of papers? Perhaps with a roll of 200 smiley faced stickers to cover the ex in the photo albums?
Why dogs are better than boyfriends/kids/spouses... lots of good possibilities here.
Bad travel experiences... lost luggage, closed museums, overpriced gift shops, hotel from hell etc.
Failed recipes...
Car accidents...

I think enamel dots in "water drop color" like a shimmer-y, barely there blue, or something else water-like would be fun. I have/had those. They were splats and droplets. I bought them in every colour and I had water coloured ones. BFF (who is also a scrapper) and I tore apart my scrap room and they weren't in there. I had them at a retreat but that was eons ago. Who made Heidi Grace paper? It was Fiskars maybe? Could be wrong. they had the colour and droplets for water balloons exploding. I had this plastic container with a permanent lid on it. They were in it with other embellishments. I will ask DS if he has seen some scrapbook luggage of mine as that container now hold his junk. He rearranged the garage for us. I haven't seen the luggage since. Let me look ok?

I would love to see a collection based on Pride month or festivals. Anything to support the LGBTQ community.
And maybe a mini theme for election time. This year I had a lot to say and had a hard time finding anything to use.

I have theme paper in just about every theme mentioned no here that I have collected over many years and the hey days of theme papers.
I would like to see many of those come back for a new generation of scrappers - those who started scrapping in the past decade.

I think the new trend will be holographic foil. It's a huge trend outside the crafting world right now and I'm starting to see it creep in with Cricut holographic vinyl and the holographic foil in the Pink Paislee Summer Lights collection. At the moment I'm digging it because it's very summery but I don't think it will work for the fall and winter.

950nancy, love the exhausted parent line idea! LavenderLayoutLady, I could use water balloons or sprinklers too. breetheflea, I can totally use rural themes since we live in the boonies. I do hope to get cows one day, but for now bees and chickens and turkeys. However the first thing I thought of was doing a page for the art cows that Chicago did.

I wish they would do a line catered to the elderly. You know like Walker's, wheel chairs, newspapers & false teeth. I just think it would be fun & different.
Also other theme parks besides Disney & Universal.

I need some outdoorsy papers with all sorts of rocks on them--or boulder or rock wall embellishments. I have tons of pics of my kids posing on big rocks, rock climbing, rocky beaches, pebble beaches, old stone walls, etc.

I am at a loss what's to be next. I don't want BIG flowers again. I kinda hated that trend. Don't want grunge anymore. Old lady prints were my thing but I have tons of them so I am good for that, too. I don't have an answer to what's next yet.
