My husband travels often. He pulls everything out of his closet he wants to take on the trip and I fold it. God only knows what his business clothes would look like if he folded them. 😀 Our children are grown so I'm by myself when he's gone. I miss him but I enjoy the break from cooking and tend to pick up carry out and eat it in front of the tv. Nobody else has mentioned security. I'm not terrified when he's gone, but I don't like it. I check and double check the doors and set our security system. We also recently purchased the Ring doorbell. All of this helps me to feel more secure when he's not here. We live in the suburbs in a low crime area. But when he's gone, I always think I hear strange noises. Lol

He is doing almost the same thing as his last job, What was his last job? There's tons of jobs that can take a person out of the country..

I used to worry more when the kids were little but not anymore.

he works in a warehouse setting
Mine has worked overnight for 13+ years. So him not being home at night is not a big deal. This is the first time since we been with each other that he is home at night and still if something goes bump i get up and check on it.

My DH doesn't travel as much as he did.
My favorite part is not having to cook dinner when he is gone.
I enjoy the free time, until 4-5 days in, then I really miss him.
