In the season 6 finale, Arya said she was going home, but now she's going to King's Landing?! Nooooo, I want her to go home to Winterfell where Sansa and Jon are!! Overall I loved the episode. I am thinking Jorah is a prisoner only for seclusion to keep the grayscale condition from spreading, and the maesters can study to find a cure. Maybe?? Arya's gotta make a pit stop because THE LIST. I liked the episode, too. Except the extended gag bit with Sam and the poop, but whatever.

In the preview for next week, it appears she may be reuniting with her direwolf, so that's a start! But I will lose it if and when she's ever reunited with Jon and Sansa, especially Jon. Also, did anyone else catch in the last scene of the preview it looks like someone is choking Littlefinger? I can't tell if it's Jon (I hope!) or Sansa or

I enjoyed Ed Sheeran's small part. I wanted to hear the whole song! I found it jarring. I was imagining him busting out with 'Shape of You'.

I like Ed Sheeran, but I thought that was trash. /unpopular opinion (Edited to clarify: The song was fine, the cameo was trash. Unless he gets killed. Then I'm in.) I liked the song, but it was easy to see he's not an actor . I think you could tell he was just thrilled to be there though.

I HATED the Ed Sheeran cameo. Took me right out of the show. It was a distraction and a cheesy one at that. It was so stupid and unnecessary. And him saying something about it being a new song - ugh. So stupid.

I didn't recognize him but DH (who can barely use Facebook LOL) asked right away. I was more interested Prof Slughorn - I'm a dork.

Same with the Ian McShane cameo last season. I didn't find it nearly as distracting. I spent those few minutes with Ed Sheeran thinking "wow, he's not much of an actor" and "they're really working that combover on him" and "why did they feel the need to do this?" and I actually had to rewind to make sure something important didn't go on.

Wow...way harsh, Ty. Poor guy enjoys himself and gets lambasted for being too recognizable (like half the cast hasn't been in something else we've all seen), and too jarring to the experience (wtf? The whole show is one long jarring violent experience, it wad kind of nice to just let Arya have one good goddamned meal where she didn't have to worry about being raped or murdered)
❓👀😌

If they hadn't made him sing, maybe it would've been okay. Still a stretch, but the singing was sooooo try hard.
They should've held off on his cameo and made him a white walker.

Speaking of white walkers, those giant ones were seriously nightmarish. Not that any of them are not scary, but the giant ones made me shudder.

So stupid. I'm so celebrity-illiterate that I didn't even recognize him. When I looked at twitter after the show, I was so confused what everyone was talking about. I thought it was some kind of twitter joke.

I didn't think about the song as she was riding up but it took me until the end of the scene to go "hey, that's Ed" My DH was clueless. So anyway, I google all questions and looked into that. GOT people have been trying for several years to get him on. Maizey(Arya) has a huge fan crush on him and the producers/writers wanted it to be a surprise. I thought it was sweet of them to make it work. There have been several other cameos throughout the years of musical people. Some were just more made up by some sort of character makeup. Wow, after typing all that, I am now way too invested in my look up work. Shortly, it was not for his acting ability that he was in that scene.

I kept expecting them to attack her... but then thinking Ed Sheeren can't kill/rape Arya.. I didn't mind it but I think it could have been done better.

Loved it! Arya was awesome, though I hope they don't over do the Arya face-changing thing. Supposedly the Iron Isle guy (bad with names), knows of a horn that can control dragons!!! Sansa drove me nuts. Loved the Hound, but not sure I am loving the seeing stuff in the fire storyline.

Sansa drove me nuts. Loved the Hound, but not sure I am loving the seeing stuff in the fire storyline. That Hound/BWB segment went on waaay too long, although I'm sure there's a reason for it. I enjoyed the funny moments; Euron's "two hands" and Tormund's "you're a lucky man!" comment to Pod. Part of what makes this show so awesome. Ds and I have already rewatched the episode about five times, including one in Spanish to see what the translations were. LOL

I think Arya's going to kill at least one of those Lannister guards so she can assume his identity and get into King's Landing closer to Circe.

I think that was Wun-Wun, the Wildling who was killed last season. I loved him, so was horrified that he's now marching with the Undead. Of course, DH was delighted to see him back just so he can yell: "Win one for the Wun-Wun! at the start of every battle scene he's in. Sigh. I know.

Ok, the stuff about a surprise for Maisey makes me feel much better about it. I thought it was too cheesy as well, mostly because they lingered on his face too much. But for Maisey, I'll deal.

I just got a chance to watch the season opener tonight. I loved it. I hadn't had a chance to rewatch last season's shows, so this one was great for catching me up on all fronts. We've been waiting a long time for Winter to come to the Freys. So glad it seems that Arya is going to have a bigger role this season.
Surprising the actress with the pop singer was a nice touch. She looked so pleased, I was looking for one of her old buddies from Flea Bottom in the group. About the song, I think it actually comes from one of the books (after Jaymie lost his hand and had it replaced with a gold one, or maybe when Tyrian was the hand and was collecting the whore's tax?). I didn't recognize the celebrity, but the words of the song were familiar!

I was talking to someone who reads the books and apparently Catelyn Stark was resurrected by the Brotherhood. I know it hasn't happened yet, but maybe it happened off screen and she is going to show up.

Plus the show has now moved beyond the books. I think this happened like 3 books ago also.

If I recall right the show's creators said that won't be happening on the show.
