....."they" being scrapbooking companies. I decided to cancel my cocoa Daisy sub, since they have chosen TC as a guest designer, and emailed them and told them why I am cancelling. The lady who answered said she was aware that TC has been put on a ban list on this forum, but wasn't very apologetic about her choice (more of the "I'm sorry you're upset" variety). If anything, the email made me feel a lot better about my decision.

She was never banned. Maybe that needs to be cleared up with Cocoa Daisy. All they need to do is follow her in groups and on instagram and they can see it's best to stay far away.

That seems pretty unprofessional. Just ignoring it and not responding would have looked better for them than that IMO. I haven't subbed with them in about 18 months, but that response reminds me that I should unsubscribe from their emails.

I think CD is referring to the 'boycott list' from the TC thread. A list of companies to avoid if you don't wish to support TC.

So what is your point? Should we all unsubscribe to CD because you have a problem with Tracie? Personally I have chosen to pay her no mind.

I think her point was that we get industry people here on our little piece of the net. They obviously knew she belonged to this board and about the TC thread, which I'll admit I've not read in its entirety. I didn't know about the boycott list - that thread is just too dang long.

Like everything here, we're throwing out information and discussing stuff. Everyone is free to make their own decision. Just like the Misti threads, no required boycott. Plenty of peas love their Misti and have purchased them after the Tonic drama. I like that we have so many diverse opinions that we can make an informed decision on where to spend our craft budgets.

Her point was in the title: companies do lurk here. It really wasn't hard to figure out... I'll take a seat with the fellow "how unprofessional" folks. How difficult is it to send a standard polite response? "Dear XYZ, thank you for being our customer. We appreciate your business and will take your remark in consideration. (even if you don't give a flying pig about it, that's all you need to say) We're sorry to see you go and hope to count you soon amongst our customers again." If you run a business you have got to let your inner wounded child go and stop acting and reacting in a manner that has no place in a work environment. Playing smarta$$ and sniping back at someone who used to drop cash on your product on a regular basis to let them know you "know" is plain silly. This is a place of business, not the local playground. If you can't help yourself, you need to go do some cognitive behavioural therapy to figure out why you feel the need to lash out and play smart when it's completely inappropriate. #sorrynotsorry I'm done supporting businesses that aren't run by grown-ups. Even my friend's kiddo knows to behave politely when she helps with the fruit salad stand at her school's fair.

Tracie is not banned. As a matter of fact I love when she comes here to post. It's always a delightful exchange! Too bad she left because she certainly knew how to keep things lively. That said, she is banned from many people's wallets because of her self shilling and self exploitation - selling herself as a scrap celeb deserving of people's money for non existent medical costs. Those companies that choose to affiliate and promote her scrap celeb concept are by association banned from some people's wallets. I think it's fabulous that in this day and age, with so many scrap companies gone belly up, that those companies that affiliate with Ms Tracie are doing so well that they just don't need everyone's business. That is great for the industry, is it not?

Tracie banned herself from here both figuratively and literally. I can see her trying to portray herself as a victim to her affiliates.
I thought the owner of CD just got married. I saw on Instagram that 2 other ladies were running the show in the meantime. Maybe they responded and really had no business doing so??

Then you've got to give exact orders on how to deal with CS messages. Especially if you're going to have a controversial guest designer. And choose your stand-ins with care and thought. Snotty replies from CS that seem to imply you don't need their money when you've got US$235 Badgley Mischka wedding shoes on your IG is never a good idea when you're in sales. Jussayin'.

I love pretty shoes... so I went to peek and noticed something. The official CD IG account comments on her personal posts and is apparently not her. So perhaps she has handed over some of the official responsibilities.

So perhaps she has handed over some of the official responsibilities. Good observation! And it's very likely that CD has grown enough for her to take a back seat. But that doesn't excuse her staff's behaviour. It is far likelier they are in line with her way of thinking than not. And even then, the head of the company needs to keep an eye on what's happening and give good direction about all that's being delegated. Whatever the case, people are buying from Cocoa Daisy, not from Christine's IG account... Companies that thrive and survive are those with excellent CS. One look at Tonic Studios vs MSP should be enough of a reminder, if not warning, for those in today's SB business.

Nope. Not any more.

Elle's Studio is still okay, right? If I were to sub and didn't want to support a company in cahoots with fake Christians? I feel like Elle's Studio didn't make the ban list, correct? What about GB? I am currently subbing with them but not sure how I feel about their PL kits yet.

I love love love my CD also, but have noticed some really poor customer service responses on social media that have me feeling really uncomfortable dealing with this company. Seems highly unprofessional? Anyone else have any knowledge of the inner workings of CD?

So what is your point? Should we all unsubscribe to CD because you have a problem with Tracie? Personally I have chosen to pay her no mind. Her point was clear. Scrapbook companies lurk here. No one has told anyone they need to unsubscribe to anything. Your post was unnecessarily rude and out of left field.
