The main kit bugs me the more I look at the sneak because some of it is obviously the same designs she's used in the last 2 years for DD and recycled. Blergh.

The AE kits look like they are darker colors and maybe more Christmassy. Hard to tell. I'd like darker -- I have leftovers from past years and more intense colors would be a nice change.

Well I just went through my stash and found some papers that can be repurposed for a DD. Already have some leftovers from last year so now I'm wondering whether I'll buy anything at all. Maybe I'll just use stuff up and get creative with my Cameo.

I feel terrible for saying this... but Liz's mini sneak got to me! I want to see the rest. If she has managed (and been allowed by Inked) to translate her signature aesthetic properly to a DD mini this year, I may need to backtrack about not getting any product and get her kit. I'm such a Paislee Press ho (ho ho). I was flipping through my PL albums recently and noticed that Liz's digi products are the actual structure, not the cutesy physical cards I buy elsewhere or the stamps. Her stuff actually helps my minimalist brain come up with an overall foundation. Smartest decision yet this year by Inked to have Jasmine back (always a hit, whether at SC or AE) and Liz in for a second year (she fits the minimalist brand AE pushes and is well-liked beyond the Inked circle). I'm a bit baffled by Ali's main kit sneak. I see recurring patterns (how many more times will she "design" a basic Christmas tree with words?) with only the colour palette changing (and possibly intruding on Liz's signature colours). Everything looks toned down: the number of kits, the designs, the colour scheme. I think it's a wise decision after the all-over-the-placeness of the last years (and the amount of mini kits they're still trying to shake off since then). The children's kit doesn't do anything for me. But, then again, I'm not the target audience. Congratulations to Jasmine and Liz in advance.

Definitely will get Liz's kit, and honestly, I might get Ali's main and Jasmine's as well based on the sneaks. Good choices for the mini kits, I thought.
Looking forward to seeing the albums this year as well. No sneaks of those yet as far as I can tell.

I am intrigued by the sneaks but will have to wait till I can see them in full before I make up my mind.

Well, I think the sneaks are better than what I expected - but I am not sure I will bite. They have reused old patterns (the main kit, kids kit both have patterns I recognize). I don't love Jasmines kit (not my style) but I do think the Paislee Press kit could be good, but I need to see more. The kids kit isn't aimed at me and nor would I buy it.
Overall, I think they look better than in past years but I am not that excited about them. Maybe that will change when I see all of them? I would probably purchase Ali's kit if It wasn't overpriced. But I bet they are gonna want a pretty penny for it and I won't overpay for it - especially when I already have some of the patterns from past year left over.

I swear a bunch of my scrap 12X12s and a Mrs Grossmans sticker sneeze would be more attractive as a "kid's kit." And likely cheaper. It doesn't do anything for me either.

So Ali never does say when shipping will be.
I want to trust that they finally have their crap together - but I just don't believe it. She has a whole section in her blog post about having clear communication and yet she never includes when the products will ship.

Far cheaper! I bet they'll charge the usual mini kit price for the children's kit. You can just as easily get a few sheets of cut-apart pattern papers and a couple of cheap sets of stickers, as you put it. Inexpensive and just as much fun for the little ones. So Ali never does say when shipping will be. You don't want to know! That would ruin the surprise...

Looks like KP was sneaking some DD alphas in her InstaStory today. I am a big fan of her alphas in all the colors.

The colours are very Christmassy but then it said they were coming to the shop soon... I'm guessing they will be included in her December/Christmas kit this year? If so, she's going for a nice classic colour palette. Me gusta.

yep. I will help. Whatcha got in mind? Quick recap of the "final" supply list: red 6x8 faux leather Sn@p by Simple Stories album, pocket pages, Falala by Crate paper ephemera pack, loads of ABM cards (I've fused inserts to use plenty of those 3x3 cards) mostly in hues of grey, black, white, taupe and other muted natural colours), white cardstock, black ink, Laina alpha set (from SC) to stamp the titles. Each spread will be constructed like a chapter with as many inserts as needed. Right page will be the white cardstock with the big bold title in black and journaling typed out underneath. Left page will be large photo OR pattern paper. So, I'm looking for sturdy pattern paper that will handle the flipping and turning well to make those left pages (will not go into a pocket page but get punched and inserted), thinking of Carta Bella. I'd like vintage designs that will go well with the clean minimalist black and white look as well as those muted cards I've selected (see crappy photo attached for a sneak). It would add some warmth and fun to the album. So far, I've come up with: - map of Paris to document our yearly December weekend in the capital city - Bambi in the winter forest because... well, a baby deer and snow! #scuseme #universalchristmassymbol #right #riiiight - the b-side of this paper because I'm such a vintage wallpaper lover - map of Spain to handstitch our road trip to Catalunya on - city view because I'm a city girl and need an excuse to use those Christmas in the city stamps I got from Kelly Purkey last year I think this nice and naughty list paper is cute as a background for a selfie holding a sign that reads: "Dear Santa, I tried." But is too dark and too vintagey for my look? I need at least another 4 to 5 papers. Would love to stay within the heavy and sturdy paper category. I wanted to find something in Steven Duncan's release for this Christmas ( A Very Merry Christmas) but couldn't find something that wouldn't overpower the rest of the album. Any help and/or advice would be appreciated! I need more festive, seasonal papers now. You know me: minimal, simple, no kids, like to stay within a colour scheme to keep it cohesive, can take some cutesy but not too much. Thanks in advance (even just if taking a look)! I'm literally going to sleep on it now... Attachments:

Vicki Boutin is doing a Christmas album kit again this year - she's just put the first sneak up on her facebook page. I've not been tempted previous years...but this year she is teaching at MY LSS, and it's going to be hard to turn that down, just for the fun of it. She's following that with a day of mixed media using her new line that is coming in November.

You know, I had rejected it on the basis that I wanted full 6x8 pages but now you bring it up again, it might actually look great as a full 6x8 page too provided I measure out the cut well to balance out the red strips at the top and bottom... Hmmm. Good idea! Thank you.

Here's the sneak video for Vicki Boutin's December/Christmas kit which kitbop mentioned: TFS! I think I can pass on all that although I really liked the smaller papers (6x8?). I watched it without audio so I'm guessing the size according to the SN@P album...?

I feel super underwhelmed by all of Ali's "first looks". I got Liz's mini last year, so I'll reserve my final opinion on this year's until I see the whole thing, but the main kit, kid's kit and the other mini do nothing for me at all. I am looking forward to seeing the album reveal in the FB Live video, but right now I'm thinking I'll be looking more towards Kelley Purkey and Elle's Studio for my DD this year.

I made a request over on the blog post (but not holding my breath) for her to share the recording of the Facebook live outside of the private group... but in case she doesn't I would sure appreciate hearing about any sneaks and info she shares in that video if someone here is in the group. Another gripe for another day and thread- but it pisses me off to no end when businesses set up private groups for sharing information with customers... like if you aren't willing to join then they don't really care that much about your business. I have strong personal reasons for choosing not to be on Facebook and I am not going to compromise them to get to be someone's customer.... bah humbug.... okay rant over 😉 ETA- Ali did respond to my question on the blog and added an update to her IG story that the video will also be put up on YouTube and the blog for all to see.
