Ooo, I would love to know the name of the oldie lines website with the Sassafras Lass! I am buying older stuff now to extend my stash (there just is not enough new stuff either) and Sassafras is a huge fave of mine! scrapbooking-for-less.com/I don't see any of that brand on their website, but they have great pricing! Will go check them out for sure--thanks!

I think the places that offer a free x with a certain amount spent where you know what x is, I like those. On a recent order, I was aware that I would receive a free gelato if I spent a certain amount. I don't have any so I thought it would be fun to try and the colors I've seen people use are so pretty. Guess what color I got? Black! I actually do use a lot of black in my scrapping and I wear it frequently, so I'm sure I'll figure out a suitably moody way to use it. Lucky that you can probably use it. I got a green one and I haven't even opened it. I barely even know what a Gelato is, the green is not really my kind of color, and I feel like they only gave it to me to make me feel like I needed to buy more from them - because really, what use is one color? (unless it happens to be your fav color). I would have rather not gotten anything in this case. I'll give it away when I can find someone who can make good use of it (which will probably cost me in postage because I don't think I know anyone locally who has even heard of non-edible Gelatos. Sigh...)

Hey little magpie (UK company) have started sending out a free pencil with their orders. It's great, very useful.
They used to send a small packet of sweets ( my dog used to get so excited when their box arrived, she could smell the sweets) or a flavoured tea bag (I'm a coffee drinker) but I definitely prefer the pencil.

I don't let myself feel guilty if I don't keep a "freebie". I pass it on if I can't/won't use it.
Discount codes are nice, but the ones I've gotten, I never seem to use because they can't be combined with other offers and there's usually a current offer that is the same or better when I go to place my next order. I never like to look badly upon a nice gesture, but sometimes shake my head as to the reasoning of offering a "thank you" gift that is less than a standard discount.

One UK store I purchase from usually includes a small pack of Haribo sweets or an interesting tea bag in the order. I think it's cute and like the little surprise, but wouldn't say it affects my choice to order from them at all. Just makes opening the package more fun. Is that HLM? They've sent me a tea bag before and my order that arrived yesterday had a branded pencil. Love little things like tea that you can drink as you scrap, or a pencil that only scrapbookers have. I love exclusive freebies like the pins for SC and AE subscribers a few months back. I wouldn't turn my nose up at a freebie as you can always donate it or recycle it but I particularly like exclusive freebies.

I Like little freebies. If I can't use them I just pass them in. I love the extra little bag of sequins that Neat snd Tangled included in their order. Elle's studio often includes a few extra cards I just add them to my stash. Since I'm ordering PL cards anyways it makes sense.

Oh, good question! OK, thinking back on things, I would say that in most cases I don't use the freebies. There are exceptions. I got some flair and put that to use. I appreciate any freebie I get, but I appreciate them more when I get more of something I ordered. For instance, I got the flair when I bought some patterned paper and some flair. I agree. I like when I am given more of something I ordered, like if they threw in another pack of enamel dots when I ordered them. Or adhesive. Because you can never have too much. But usually I feel like I'm just getting some thing that no one bought or liked in the first place.

When I ordered from Lawn Fawn they included some squares of patterned paper that could be used for the dies, which was nice. I usually tend to order from bigger companies though. Scrapbook.com usually has free or really cheap items you can get with a code at checkout but I've never done this since they haven't had anything I'd use.
