I signed up for August and hope to pick up some kits in the sale. I was on and off (skipped the months with too much pink), and had kits piling up with not as much time as I'd like to keep up with using them. I was hoping she's have a DD kit this year! So sad to see her go. I loved the exclusive items and recent designs.

You have always been a part of the heist. You're only mad now because you don't like your cut.

Random GB question: I just found an unopened (!!!) Layer by Layer class kit that GB did with Christine Middlecamp a few years ago. Did you take the class? Was it video or PDF? I just want a little inspiration. It's TONS of product and I don't even know where to start because I actually want to use it.

She had amazing work. This is taking it waaaaaaay back, but I also miss Kate O'Brien. She did some great work back in the day. I googled Christine Middlecamp last week. She has an inactive Etsy shop that sells jewelry. I wish she'd get back into papercraft. I miss her work, too.

It looks like she's no longer showing PL or card making and is now only painting. I'm really struck by the revolving door that is scrapbooking, particularly pocket/PL. I look up old favourites that drew me into this craft and can't find most of them anymore. It makes you wonder why there's such a high burnout rate and who the core of the still active PL documenters (after X amount of years) truly are.

I feel like a loser because I haven't moved on from scrapbooking. It's like all these lifestyle people are too cool to scrap.

Oh no. I am not a subscriber but did get the warehouse box. It is always sad to see the end of a scrapbooking company.

I think it's trying to make it your job without it really being your job. People like Ali Edwards, Jennifer McGuire, Kelly Purkey, Kristina Werner, this is their 9-5. If i had to do my day job, then put in a bunch of hours on a design team making product and videos and keeping up on IG. And my only compensation is product? No thanks. I'd burn out too.

Me, too...if they are $10 kits. I will be nabbing june and july lp kits even if it's not a huge discount. The idea of only missing 2 of them is killing me.

scrapaddict702 that's a great stash of lp stamps! They look like my SC PL stamps, back in the day when I was a long term SC subber and bought them all. If I hadn't been an ex-subber to SC I would have subbed with GB. I'm jealous of your stash - I find that I don't use the SC PL stamps that much. Usually when I am searching for a particular phrase or image, my SC PL stamps come up short. I think the GB stamps are much more interesting and versatile. I am not a subber to GB, although I did buy the July LP and SB kit, so I will have to patiently wait for the sale next Friday and hope you left me something I'm sad GB is closing, if I hadn't been an ex-long term subber with SC and feel that I need to use more, buy less and only buy what I truly love, I would have subbed to GB. Very sad that GB is closing down. Customer Service, when I did buy was great and I loved the direction the kits were going in. I second the person who said that if Lori ever wanted to just produce 4 kits a year - I would sub - sight unseen!! Wishing Lori all the best for her future endeavors and if she reads here or someone can get this message to her, thank you for bringing joy to many and delivering a top notch product & service. You will be missed.

I'm sad about GB closing too. I am also keenly interested in their sale since I loved their recent kits but didn't subscribe for $ reasons. nicolep will you keep us posted if you learn anymore?

Oh man, I haven't been to her site in ages. Thank you for reminding me about her. Michelle Wooderson was the reason I signed up to GB several years ago - she was coming up with the stamp concepts at that time.

I figured we'd hear something by now about the sale... Since I just subbed, I'm nervous that I'm not going to see it when it goes live. Her add-ons at the start of the month go live around 10am pacific time, so that's when I thought it would happen today. I set an alarm for midnight to wait and look and woke up several times throughout the night because I wasn't sleeping well and each time, I checked to make sure I wasn't missing out. I've been stalking and refreshing all morning and nada. I'm getting stressed out! The anticipation of 'go time' on black Friday always does me in...and that's what this feels like!

I wonder if she's struggling to make it subber only and might be faced with having to upload each item separately for subscriber viewing only? It's easy enough to do when it's not live to everyone, yet, but she could potentially still sell kits at full price to non subscribers and it might not make sense to pull those items and make them subscriber only for a week. Just speculating, but it would make sense. Otherwise, if she just marked them down, wouldn't everyone be able to see them...the only subscriber 'benefit' was the email you posted here if she can't make it viewable only to subscribers.

The notice was so short - I wonder if there were September kits planned or if all the designers knew that the club was closing and just kept quiet about it?
