Do you ever click the little Edited word to see what someone has changed on Facebook? Whenever I edit, I always get a little self-conscious, especially if I have to click it more than once. But I figure, no one reads my edits anyway, right? But then I wondered, maybe people do?
Do you check others' edits?

I edit my posts whenever I need to but really don't care about what others have edited. I didn't even know you could check to see. I'm so oblivious sometimes! lol

I only edit to correct stupid misspellings or if I left out a word, that kind of thing. One time fb went cuckoo and repeated the last few words I'd typed like 100 times and I had to edit to fix that craziness. I never pay any attention to anyone else's edits. You'd be surprised. I'm very non-controversial on Facebook. I never say anything offensive.

My choice wasn't in the poll... yes, I sometimes check the edits to see what changed. Not every time and not every person but sometimes. I've learned most of my facebook friends just edit to correct spelling or word usage (like got the wrong "you r" ) But there is one or two that make substantive changes.

I never look, I figure (much like all the posters above me) that people are fixing typos, spelling errors or to make their meaning clearer. I don't use FB for any personal stuff, I belong to a few craft/crochet groups and an Aussie cat group, not too much controversy there that needs to be edited out.

Never. I assume they are typos/autocorrects.

I didn't know that you could do that and I don't like that you can do that. If someone edits a post, it's because they don't want the original post out there. I generally only edit for grammar/spelling.

When I see posts being shared that are sharing some "poor me" or a story that's meant to smear a company or person's reputation, I'll check the edits. Once in a while, I'll find that they changed the wording or added information to get the reaction they want.
Other posts, I will assume typo or maybe a forgotten word.

I tend to spot typos only after I post, so I edit here and on FB quite frequently. But sometimes I edit for clarity, especially if I was answering in a teasing way and I realize that the tone may be lost and people might take it seriously.
I suppose if you want to make a major edit that won't be seen, you could just delete your post and write a new reply. But that may mess up the flow of conversation if there are multiple replies.

I have noticed the "edited" note on FB but I didn't even know you could click on it and see what was edited, but honestly, I don't care - I edit mine sometimes, mostly to correct a typo.

I didn't even know it was an option. Now that I know, I still won't check, I'm not that nosey to really care what the edit was.

Never even occurred to me to check someone else's edits. Just assume they are typos or iPhone incorrectly inserting things like mine.😜

I usually only edit typos, so I never check what others have edited. I do often wonder why so many people don't edit, or realize they can edit. All my groups have people that type the correction in a new reply under the one they are correcting

I never check, and I edit 90% of my own posts (here, too). I always make a mistake that I have to correct.

I never knew you could! I edit mine to fix typos. I have posted and then thought twice and immediately deleted my post, but now I try to be very mindful of what I am putting on social media. I am not sure what checking to see what was edited would tell me- that someone caught their spelling error and corrected it, that they added the word they forgot to type, etc??

I generally only edit for grammar/spelling. In that case, delete the post and start over. Then it is no longer an edited post. It doesn't show when an entire post is deleted.

I quite often edit mine for either typos or auto correct has got a word/name wrong and I've posted before I check it. I don't check anyone else's though, I just assume they have the same reason for doing so as me.

I check depending on the topic... just to see if it was something controversial.. I've learned most edit are misspellings or left out words... so it's pretty random
