On what planet is this a good colour combination Gryffindor colors. Let's just call it what it is. I plan to file a complaint that all house colors have not been represented in their kits. Hahaha my first thought was also Gryffindor 😂

She says in the video the 6x8 albums come with 24 page protectors, and to check the description on the product page to see the amounts for each page configuration. Ummm, the product listing says it comes with 8 page protectors.
eta... Sorry, I didn't hear that. I thought she had that navy album open to show the boatload of pp's...

Ummm, the product listing says it comes with 8 page protectors. Yes, the pleather is 8, but the chipboard is 24. She stated that in the video. So, it made me understand why the pleather and chipboard were the same price. Good to know though, I would have wanted more inside of the pleather.

I’ve heard that Katie chooses all the colors now. I've heard this too and I just don't understand. Katie is great... she's always been super nice, seems to always put in a ton of effort and seems like a great friend to Ali. This is nothing against Katie personally, who seems to be doing the best she can and seems like a genuinely great person. But she is not a designer, she got hired by Ali as a babysitter and became a really great friend. This is another case of someone hiring their friends (I'm looking at you Becky) rather than people who are qualified to do the job. I'm sure her and Ali get along really well and that probably translates into a great working relationship and fun work days, but bringing Katie into design decisions just doesn't make sense considering she has absolutely no background in design and isn't even a scrapbooker (Remember when she briefly tried to do project life? I think it was pretty clear that she didn't really have an interest in the hobby). I'm speculating like crazy here but I distinctly remember the navy color scheme (was it the Home kit?) and everyone went crazy for it. It was the first kit that Katie had chosen colors on and it was immensely popular. If I recall, there was a comment from AE later that Katie would be in charge of color choices from then on. She was apparently more in touch with the customer base opinions.

Of course, everyone has a preference, and I prefer the bolder color choices, I don't even wear pastels...

For those that watched the Habit process videos. What do you think of the editing and adding in Ali standing at her table?
I am not a huge fan. It's a bit distracting for me as it catches my eye as I'm multitasking. But while she's reading the journaling she wrote I guess there's nothing for us to look at on her table

I ended up ordering a polka dot 6x8 album. I needed one anyone, and then used a 20% off code, so I am happy. While I wanted a 3x8album - the polka dots were weird colors for me.

Ali posted photos of the new albums and kits on her Instagram page. Someone commented:
Will you have anymore 9x12 albums to launch?
Ali responded:
Probably not in 2019 but if that changes I will post about it.
So... she released 9x12 albums, plans on using them exclusively this year for her PL album, but she's not making anymore THIS YEAR?! This is exactly why I didn't purchase 9x12 albums from her. Inked has a habit of creating new, in demand products then dumping them. I don't understand.

Yeah, that's not a good sign. I went 6x12 this year and my album and way too many page protectors arrived today. And that size still seems fully stocked.

It just seemed odd... for a process video, why not show the process exclusively? I haven't watched the main presentation yet, did she use that camera also? It makes sense for that lecture type video I think, but for the process video I think she should stick to the overhead camera unless she's showing something that you can't see from that angle. Even while she's reading the journaling, watching her reading it isn't adding anything, I'd rather be looking at the page so I can read along or look at more of the details.

I thought she had said something in the group that new 9x12 were coming out. It would have been around the end of last year when folks were discussing their plans from PL. Maybe I am confused though!

Actually, I think people were asking about the page protectors being back in stock and they were answering sometime early this year. Most recently, they said in March. They never said anything about a release of more albums (I believe the black pleather ones are still in stock). People were saying they didn't want to buy the album until they knew the page protectors they wanted were in stock (definitely an inked oversight to release the albums with not enough page protectors in stock).

Everybody wants 9x12 these days. Inked has the market cornered. But they don't want to make money, I guess.

I think that this thread is getting a little confused. When Ali said no new 9x12 releases this year, she meant no new colors/designs, not no albums in the shop. They still have the black 9x12 albums in stock and presumably will try to keep them in stock.
My guess is that next year they will also add another color to the collection. I know she said “next year” but I’d be surprised if it doesn’t release in December in time for people to make their 2020 album plans.

What no 9x12 in Ali’s shop - how irritating! There are several styles of 9x12 page protectors in stock but not the style most people want, which will be back in March. Still deflating for those who wanted to jump on the band wagon. They don't want to mix up the page styles (as Ali says she will do, which I think is a tactic to try to sell the other page protectors as well as the album with mixed page protectors in it), while they wait until March when they can get a box of what they want.

I just don't understand the logic in releasing a product your base is clamoring for and then not having enough stock for those that want to buy. FOMO isn't going to work in this case. If I cannot get the basic supplies like page protectors to switch to your new size, I'm staying with what I'm doing. How have they not figured out the money they are losing due to no product to actually finish a sale, not just get people interested in being able to purchase "in a couple of months".

I contemplated trying 9 x 12 and decided I did not want to have to worry about page protectors not being available down the road, or having to have one black album and when I needed another, only being able to buy a blue or polka dot album because there's absolutely no consistency on restocking items. I mean, they're not restocking black or grey 6 x 8 albums released last year. Why not? Wouldn't you just have one basic staple on hand for sale at all times? Wouldn't an inventory of basic black albums and the most popular sized page protectors be smart?

And that size still seems fully stocked. That is why I stocked up with the 20% off code. Still expensive, but damnit I really like that size. I bought two albums ( gonna get 2018 in the books!) It always takes me two albums plus a DD to handle the year. This will be the third year of 9X12 PL... I usually break at the end of the school year, and have summer and fall in book two. I already had tons of 1B, 2B and 3B page protectors. I typically use the 1B and the 3B, sometimes the 4B. I struggle with the 2B so have lots of those that I'll never use. Apparently they are unable to keep 3B in stock (rolls eyes!) I'm hoping since I love to scrapbook 9X12 in the 1B, I'll do a bit more of that, and supplement with all these 6X12 configurations to add to the 3B pp's that come with the albums. I've loved the 6X12 A for quite some time, so I think B and C will help me not stress about 3B's being unavailable. Shouldn't be this hard! I also ordered a Citrus Twist album.. I'm interested in that size. I'm still not sure what I'll do with it, but I may move to that for PL next year.

Okay, so I haven't scrapped in a few years but was hoping to get going again this year. I want something quicker, easier and smaller than a bulky 12x12 album. What would ya'll recommend, that I can actually find page protectors for? I don't want to pick a size I like and then face the frustration of not being able to find supplies. I'm def. wanting to go more Project Life style vs. just a straight up cardstock background.

I use that size for a personal album and for DD. I'd also try 9x12 but decided against it because I didn't want to deal with SC's bs. When I heard the page protector size everyone likes the best wasn't even available, it was a hard no from me. I opted to stick with traditional 12x12 for 2019.

For what it’s worth, I have used 9x12 for the past two years and never ran out of page protectors when they didn’t have any in stock. I just make sure to buy a bunch when I do need to stock up — and I don’t have any issues with their inventory ups and downs.
