To be fair this past components sale is pretty good - they aren’t usually this good. It’s been a fair few years since I’ve seen that many kits discounted and that many kits broken up for their components. I don’t think we can rely on them like we used to with their big sales. Which is why I went wild and confessed to my husband shortly after! 🤪 I had to check my invoices, but I've paid $6.25 (and less with a coupon code) for various story kits and stamps this year, so that's why I would personally wait. That IS good! Glad you’ve had better luck than me with bargains

I just shopped the sale and I’m surprised at how big the selection is too. I got some kits that I’ve been wanting and I’ll have to remember to check out her Black Friday sale to see if the story stamps will be marked down a little more. This stuff adds up quickly. I don’t think I knew she had a BF sale so thanks for mentioning it!

The new product play class starts today --- what's everyone's thoughts? Honestly wasn't too blown away by Ali's Hexagon lessons. However, I did really like the mini pull-out Hexagon option that said "thankful". I will most likely use that lesson. Really looking forward to Amy's and Pam's contributions!!!

I just looked at her PDF Handout pages and I think she did a good job on providing other ideas on how to incorporate her ideas for a 3X8 or 6X8 design. So that was helpful, I just wished she had mocked up some of her ideas for these sizes... she has plenty of product to use. So that was an added plus.

Im using a 4x6 album and I am not sure how some of the ideas I've seen would translate to a smaller size.

I'm passing. Its always fun to be buying something shiny and new and following along with others....but I never made anything from pp1, and if I want to see what's in pp3, I can look at facebook Dd group as they will have plenty of people copying....so im going to keep my $20 in my pocket. Time I used the classes I already bought....

I checked out the stories revisited sale and had a couple of things in my cart, but ultimately I passed on everything.
I’ve purchased some AE products recently and I’m not using them. I think her prices are the turn off for me and I have a hard time using her products because of it. I picked up two items from her foodie release and while they are cute, I was shocked by how little I received for the price I paid. That’s a sign I need to stop buying from her and focus on products I know I’ll use.

I am SO TIRED of all the hexagons. It's not my favorite shape (been there, done that in 2012). However, I realized the million-dollar chipboard bundle that I purchased has hexagons. Drat.

An updated upcoming story list:
November 2019 // Gratitude December 2019 // Celebrate January 2020 // List February 2020 // You March 2020 // Friends April 2020 // Progress May 2020 // Us
June 2020 // Kindness July 2020 //Roam August 2020 // Transitions
Roam is an odd one I think but transitions could be good.

Roam makes sense for people who travel in July/summer. I like that word because of the B-52s song Maybe she'll quote the song! Transitions is a pretty good one for back to school time, especially if you have a kid moving on from one kind of school to another. Is Simon graduating soon? I've lost track since I stopped following AE. I quite like the idea of listing for January - maybe associated with resolutions and self improvement/decluttering. You is an interesting choice for Feb/Valentines. A good way to do love stories when you have already covered heart and love, etc. And it doesn't have to be Valentines - just telling stories about someone. I just drop in here out of curiosity - I haven't bought the kits since the end of year 1, but these words sound OK to me.

I don't think this list is so bad. Since I am dropping SC, I am almost tempted to rejoin AE. But I am going to hold off, I think. Edited: List is really the only one I dont like.

Good point joblackford. We travel in the winter so it hadn’t occurred to me. We are non traditional so I never tend to see the seasonal correlation that is likely intended. I like the list a lot. I keep saying I’m going to drop my subs because I am drowning in them but I love almost all of these upcoming themes.

I'm pretty sure I'm dropping my AE story kit after December. I just do not use them. Even when I did PL (skipped for 2019, might start again for 2020) I never used the kits.

I'm skipping the gratitude stamp/kit and not feeling the addons. So I'll just get my December SBTM and then cancel that all together. I don't love the 2020 designs so no need to keep it.
I still like some of the upcoming story themes so I'll keep that and just remember to skip months I know I won't use Progress and Kindness.

I may just to try to pick up the kits during Stories Revisted sales and save the $5/month. I've been packing up my house, and I honestly don't need a thing. I have a huge assortment of AE wood veneer, cork, and rubber embellishments I need to photograph and sell. I think I'll probably sell it as a lot or two.

Thoughts on the Gratitude kit?
I'm disappointed/dumbfounded on the color choices. My brain can't make sense of the bright color for this theme and oh how I would have loved some dark fall color. Seems like an easy choice but I guess not. I tend to like the kit better once it arrives, so maybe.

I'm happy with my decision to skip. I love the colors, but they don't make sense to the theme for me. If this was a travel theme it would be an amazing kit.
The stamp set is decent, but I'm still skipping. I like the layered stamps, but I don't think I'd use them.
Not loving the stamp choices for the SBTM.

Surprisingly I love the colors, but I understand why it doesn’t work for everyone. I feel that it makes for a more versatile kit for me. I could make a spring or summer gratitude album/spread or just break it up and use throughout the year in my PL. I like the stamp as well. No add ons for me.
I plan on skipping December. Not sure about my subs for 2020. I should drop them and just pick kits up at revisited sales. I really like the upcoming themes.
