How are we not discussing the prices of the add-ons this month? I though they were super pricey for what they are. I hadn't looked at them yet. I did open it really quick this morning to grab the frames. Finally getting some time to look at the kit and add-ons. Holy money grab. 5 word strips for $7!!! That's highway robbery. "you're made of magic" how does one use that in page? Except for Halloween or some time a kid is dressed as harry potter? 6 1in half circles for $7!! If they were whole circles maybe...and Ali in the video said you could put them together. I don't think any of them would look great put into one circle. 7 plastic frames for $8. I'm not as bothered by this, but I'm hoping they haven't actually popped out the middle so I get some free plastic to diecut . They expensive, but I still really like them. 50 wood stars for $4. That seems like a standard retail price. So I just added those. Nothing has sold out! With these prices I'm not surprised. Also who picked these items? The long word strips have never seemed popular, the fabric half circles don't seem to really match the kit style, the photo frames are "vintage" and random. The stars match nothing. Not even the SBTM kit. Two products made with the same material and that material is in the kit as well. It's just a lot. I've reached my point where I'm not just blindly adding everything. In the past I could have added those half circles because I like the idea of them on the edge of a page, but now I'm looking at the value of Ali's stuff and if I'd use it. I'm willing to skip month's where the themes are just going to be impossible to use or too similar to previous themes.

No add ons for me this month. I wasn't interested, but I also think they are super expensive.

I’m still flabbergasted at what $50 buts you at her site vs others. My monthly cocoa daisy box easily weighs 2 pounds and costs $65. I can’t keep up, I’m boiling over with supplies. Oh well. Someone likes this stuff enough I guess.

I just checked AE's add-ons and oh my, they are 'spensive. Five transparency phrase strips for 7 dollars? 'Eyes closed' was even worse than I'd imagined. I was expecting to see some poor selfies but lorttt, really, eyes closed sitting inside your car? Why? Why? What's the purpose? Help me figure it out. Is it a cry for help? Anyhoo, very disappointed I didn't see some basic ideas that would've made sense for these prompts so far: - eyes closed while you kiss your child or pet on the forehead (I *really* thought the tag feed would be filled with these!) - eyes closed lying in the sun with some high contrast shadow play - eyes closed giving eskimo kisses (I mean, come on, it's WINTER for most ladies playing along!) - holding hands with someone or giving someone a hand quite literally - I was even sure someone would combine hands and feet by grabbing a self-portrait of them helping their kid put on their shoes or have a baby/young toddler standing in their hands (you know, that balance game thing) - applying makeup for eyes closed, a given! (I saw one so kudos to that person!) Really, the Victorians did it better with their dead in terms of art and creativity.

I’m on my phone so ignore misspellings and such...
But those add ones? Crap they are expensive and I don’t see the value there, at all. They are hodge-podgey to me.
I also another that i don’t see any )or much) value in all the flooding of instagram with the photos. And the novels that are being posted with them? Seriously, no one cares. Maybe I am just pissy today but I predict this ‘helpful’ exercise will become a very large money grab with products in one years time. Mark your calendars now and start saving your coins. It’s been awhile since she’s released a big ‘new’ project and this will fill that money-grab void.
Otherwise, Happy Valentine’s Day friends. I am not big on celebrating on just one day but if that’s your thing, I hope you feel love from those in your circle.

sleepingbooty agree the eyes closed was weird. I think it’s weird when AE does it. It seems to be one of her “things”. I was also impressed with the eye closed putting on makeup. That made sense and could tell a story. I was surprised not to see an eyes closed laughing picture, or kiss. The others were all too posed and awkward. I know I don’t drive with my eyes closed.

The half faces are better than the closed eyes

This is where I had problems with eyes closed ( and I bet others did too ) I’m not getting too deep into this and I’m doing a surface documenting what my life is about now what my feet get to do daily what my hands get to do, so I do literally nothing with my eyes closed except sleep & maybe wash my hair so I just took a pic to have one if I decide I need it this weekend when I add this all to my self reflection TN Half face is easier

She listed it today as an upcoming project with details to come later this week. I admit I am intrigued.

Otherwise I'd drop my sub and just pick up a really loved month. Progress is going to be full of quotes. Kindness also more quotes Transitions will be "walking away from things again Cozy I don't see myself using Hope will be about starting new chapters and all positive thoughts stuff.

I think the Transitions theme will be because her son will be graduating. For some reason, that's the first thing that popped into my mind. I don't know what his plans are, but it could be a transition into something new for him. She has always been so supported of her family and I've always admired that about her. Oh I am sure it is. She recently shared that Simon will be going to a Community College locally.

Got the email from Ali about The Art of Noticing. I like the concept but this is nothing new or a topic that I've never documented.
I certainly don't need a designated TN or stamp for it.

I basically just said the same thing. Nothing new and I don't need specific products to buy for it.

I liked/purchased the stamp. I did not need binder clips and I was not a huge fan of her TN. I am going to use a TN that I already have in my stash, or possibly a different album size altogether.

I also liked the stamp and purchased it. I do not need the binder clips not the TN (and if you watched her IG Stories it looks like the ink bleeds through the pages). I plan to do this in either my OLW project or my PL album. I do not need a separate album for this. but KUDOS to Ali for keeping this a FREE Community Project and not a paid class. Also, the products are completely not necessary to participate. I just loved the stamp set and can see it in use for many different projects from WITL. DITL. Travel. etc.

This "art of noticing" is approximately 50% of how I do PL. I have a life-admirer type of personality. And you know, no distractions like kids. (don't @ me, mums, just joking but seriously, that's how you fill such a project when life is pretty much about you, your SO and erm, that one plant you've managed to keep alive - RIP all the others).

Art of noticing.....looks like a very nice little side project but I simply cannot add another mini album, notebook or side project to my creative to-do list. I feel like I can add in these things in my assortment of albums I already have going on. Very cute stamp set and TN notebook though! I also agree, kudos to Ali for not turning this into a paid class. She’s churning out some great ideas lately!!

The main thing I ‘noticed’ was the lack of a 9 in that stamp set... Yeah I know, you can just invert the 6, but it’s really not as though there was a lack of space.

It’s not revolutionary, but I like the idea. Like some of you said, I already take this point of view with my PL. But I keep those views more family oriented, like what she wrote about Anna’s sick day hanging in her office - that is exactly what I’d put in PL.
However, I’ve been wanting a more me-focused mini side project and have been trying to sort out how to structure it. I knew I wanted it to be sort of gratitude based. Like her flower frost page - so that POV resonates with me a lot. It’s the stuff I want to record for me, but not stuff my kids will likely find interesting to reflect on in our family albums.
So I’m definitely going to join in! Absolutely not buying her products for it. I will either use a Field Notes booklet or make my own smaller sized journal. A TN is bigger than I want for this project.
