I just watched a video and the instructor used an anti-static bag or cloth after stamping with a versamark pad before embossing so the powder doesn't stick everywhere. I've also seen this with shaker cards. What product would be used for this? Here is the video click

Leeny, watch the vid again. You will see she uses the anti-stat before she inks. For anti-stat she used a bag from SU, some folks use Bounce sheets, to rub the surface of the cardstock. This allows the excess embossing powder to fall away from the non-inked part of the card. Most of the time the process works very well, however I have a very good assortment of make-up brushes I have acquired over the years to help with removing the excess.

The one I use is a little bag, but I've seen others that are more like a glue bottle. Not sure what works best.

I love the idea of the EK Success tool but I am very sensitive to smells and to me it smells very strongly of baby powder, so I just can't use it. I use an embossing bag instead which doesn't have much of a smell. Just wanted to mention it in case it helps anyone else.

Where did you get your bag?

Where did you get your bag? I've ordered it off either Amazon or Simon Says Stamp. I believe it's called the embossing buddy or embossing magic.

I've seen some people suggest you can make your own with cornstarch in a baby sock.

I have a bag and the ek success tool in this link and prefer the ek success tool. I have both too, but I prefer the bag. But only because I can't stand the smell of the EK Success product and I don't think the bag version has a scent.

I'm actually using baby powder right now to eliminate excess adhesive on stickers I want to use with pop dots. Easy to find, cheap, and makes my albums smell so nice! I just ordered the EK tool to use for anti-static purposes.

Try an unscented fabric softener sheet. I used them before I got an Inkadinkado embossing powder prep.

I think someone else makes the bag too other than SU.
Check michaels if you have one.
They really do work either tool.
I like both. Think they each serve their own purpose. The bag is great for smooth larger surfaces vs the EK tool. But the EK tool is good to get into small areas
