My kids who are 16 and 19 are driving me batsh!t crazy with their constant fighting. I am tired of being in the middle of it. They both blame each other for the same exact faults. They both talk badly to each other. I am at the end of my rope. I just got off the phone with my insurance company to find out about joint/individual counseling for them. Maybe if they sit in a room with an outsider they can get it all out. All I know is we can't go on like this, it's gone on far too long. I hope you follow through. Your home needs to be a refuge, not a battle ground. I wish I had done it when my kids were teens.

I have a package being delivered by FedEx/Surepost. It is going to take SIX days for that package to travel 100 miles! Meanwhile, another package traveling 2,000 miles via UPS is going to take three days. Yeah, I dislike FedEx. Yes, this is an irrational vent. Next! FedEx often gets things delivered faster than anyone else, BUT it depends on how the shipper chose to send it. It sounds like it was shipped the cheapest (for the sender) and consequently, the slowest route. I have found FedEx to be more reliable in general, too, as far as delivering packages correctly. You usually get what you pay for. Recently my son's packages were delivered to a neighbor's porch. The numbers are very plainly marked on the houses. The delivery person obviously didn't bother to even look. I also had a package delivered by UPS to my house. It had the same zip code, but that was it. There was no resemblance in the address to mine. When I saw it on my porch, I just looked up the guy's phone number, called him, asked if he was expecting a package, and told him that it had been mistakenly delivered to me. He came and got it. I also had a mail carrier going door to door asking if a package had been mistakenly delivered. FedEx has never gone wrong for me, but I only use them when I am willing to pay for the better service. They are more expensive. My first world vent: the ad pop-up blocker prevents me from seeing some pages I want to see, but without it, I keep getting scam pop ups that my iPad has a virus when it doesn't.

My vent: WHY are you bugging me about "can you doodle this without the words on it" for a t-shirt design? I'm not an artist. I gave y'all ideas for the t-shirt - FIND someone who can do it. I will NOT steal a design and just take the words out and make it a line drawing. We have classmates who do this for a living - ask one of them!
I have more respect for artists and their works than that. And gee, thanks for reminding me yet again that my graphic artist DH passed away 4 years ago and that his birthday is tomorrow.

Mine sounds petty after some of these. I sold a house this week. (yea!) My client was the representative of an estate and she just wanted it over with. We were excited when the estate auction guy wanted the house as well as the contents. They both wanted it done fast, so I talked to my favorite title company and asked if they could do it in two days. They worked their tails off for this. The house had never been sold, just inherited, and one of the owners handed out quit claim deeds like candy, transferring ownership left and right before getting it back. It wasn't easy, but they did it. Two days. I was so grateful to them. The auction guy, however, was a total jerk. He blew off two appointments for his signing and then when he finally deigned to show up after 4:30pm (three hours after his original appointment, btw) he was mad that they couldn't immediately accommodate him. He walked in demanding keys without signing paperwork so he could show it to a buyer. He wanted the escrow officer to come out of the signing she was doing right then so he could get what he wanted.
He was a jerk and I am steamed. They bent over backward for us so my seller could get everything done before she had to go home and he craps all over it. I work hard to maintain that relationship. Having a title company like you and want to be on your side is important exactly for sales like this, when you need them to work hard for you.
Thanks idiot.
I'm dropping off cookies and a thank you card today. but that guy is still a jerk and it doesn't make me want to call him the next time I have an estate situation.

We have a wedding today with an outdoor reception. It's going to be 90 freaking degrees! In Minnesota, for heaven's sake.
I'm going to be a sweaty mess. I am wondering what the moms and bridesmaids are wearing. No doubt everyone will be a sweaty mess.

Some idiot hit a power line last night and I was watching Independence Day.
Tonight's complaint is that hockey season and the premiere of TWD isn't here yet

I spent $6 on a bottle of premium lemon-olive vinaigrette salad dressing made with all "real" ingredients, and it tastes nasty as hell. I'd have been better off buying everything to make it from scratch.
