I'm using 5160 labels and didn't have this problem. I do have a question. Do most people just make multiples of the same card/design? I'm new at this and have made about 20 different cards. I guess it's because I'm using stuff I have on hand for scrapbooking until I can get to Hobby Lobby next week. It seems like it's taking so long making different cards and that I should decide on a few designs and streamline my efforts. I make all my card the same and do a production line. I think it goes faster that way once you get your design figured out.
Last night I finished all 137 cards. I can't imagine trying to come up with multiple card designs!!
WOW! I am impressed! Yeah, I need to streamline!

WOW! I am impressed! Yeah, I need to streamline! That's how I do it when I make cards- production line. Sometimes to break up the monotony of the larger volume I make 2 or 3 different cards. Not that there is anything wrong with store bought but this year I am sending store bought card (gasp!) this year. I only gasp because it feels strange since I always made them. For this year, I found some that called my name after XMas at 90% off and I couldn't pass them up. They were tucked behind a box of 'boring' ones. I think someone was saving them for later. (thanks?). I'm planning on an extra 'treat' enclosure to make me feel better about it. LOL Thanks once more, ihaveonly1l for the updated, centered labels. They work for me! Big hugs!

I hope all y'all making handmade cards aren't too disappointed when you get one of my storebought ones. LOL. It was a last minute decision to join this year. I do have some handmades to send out but if this goes well this year, I will try harder next year.

WOW, how awesome!!! I get bored and I have tons of Christmas stuff - stamps, papers, etc. So I do about 12-15 of each design. But I don't design my own. I use pinterest a lot. I finished my first 14 yesterday and started my next 14 today

Otherwise I'll have to give it back to the family to use as the family room Or I can clear it out for a dog training room If I did not have a dedicated room full of supplies, I would send store bought cards too I love looking at cards in stores!!

I bought envelopes today and 5160 Avery labels! Anyone know the cost to mail to Australia and Canada? United Kingdom? New Zealand?
The USPS website is not very clear. Sending a postcard is $1.10 for international, but I'm not sending postcards!
ETA: @leowife, is Admin on the list? I'd like to send her a card too.

Can't answer the other questions. ETA: Sorry, I was thinking you meant @leowife who created this swap. We don't know Admin's username so there is no telling.

I'm on the list and so Ihaveonly....she was a huge part of getting the swap on the list. If your asking about Admin....the lovely lady whom helps make sure the board runs smoothly, I have no clue as I'm sure her Pea Name is diffrent from Admin. To keep it private so she can enjoy the board.

I'm having issues printing these and am wondering if anyone else is as well? The addresses in the first couple of rows at the top of the page have their last line cut off. The addresses in the middle of a page are centered fairly well top to bottom. Then the addresses at the bottom of the page have the first line cut off. I'm using Avery 8860 labels, which are recommended for the template that was used. Can anyone help a girl out? Thanks! I'm using 5160 labels and didn't have this problem. I do have a question. Do most people just make multiples of the same card/design? I'm new at this and have made about 20 different cards. I've finished 36 different cards. At some point when I've exhausted all the stuff I have on hand, I will probably try to streamline and make just a few different cards. I've got them all on our dining room table and every time DH walks by he says *wow*.

Hi guys, I have been getting a head start on addressing envelopes. I noticed that darcie is listed twice, on the bottom of page 2 and top of page 3 of the card exchange PDF with peanames. Thank you to @leowife and ihaveonly1l for making participation in this swap so easy.

Is it too late to sign up? I've been MIA on the board for awhile.
There are so many peas who have been supporting me on the thread about Spencer I wanted to take part and hopefully be able to send a greeting to a few of the many who supported me.

I got the list...yay...and was scrolling through as I always do and imagine my surprise when I saw a name that I recognized. We work at the same hospital and have mutual patients!
Maybe I have finally found someone to scrap with!

Global mail is all the same price to every international destination now (i.e. they gouge us equally for Canada-bound mail as for places that are actually overseas! ) I think the current price is $1.10 or thereabouts (maybe $1.15??), but what you'll want to ask for or order is the round global forever stamp. They have one that's a harvest moon design and another that is a succulent. Both are available online at usps.com (I got the succulents). They used to make wreath stamps for the holidays, for a few years at least, but unfortunately they seem to have stopped. As long as the card is under a ounce one round global stamp will get it there. Two domestic first class stamps isn't enough and three is more than you need to pay, FYI.

At some point when I've exhausted all the stuff I have on hand, I will probably try to streamline and make just a few different cards. I've got them all on our dining room table and every time DH walks by he says *wow*. I'm using up a bunch of cut-aparts and printables (and tags and die cuts) that I have had stashed away for a few years, so I'm making different cards for everyone, but they mostly follow a pretty similar template. Which is to say, most of them are just a 3x4" cut-aparts stuck to a card base! Super simple. I found some really cute cut-apart sheets at Joann's, so I bought a few of those to make a couple of dozen easy cards to get started. Then I bought a kit that I saw online (stupid YouTube and its many temptations) that takes a little more work because it's intended as a scrapbook kit, but again, I'm cutting everything to a basic size to start with to cut down on decision making. Trying to find a balance between being creative and getting it done. No harm in doing a production line or a simple template if you can. I'm trying not to over-think everything. I think I've done 91, including some I had leftover from last year. I keep finding more bits and bobs to use up.

I'll have to ask if the Post Office knows if there will be a holiday version this year when I go in to buy stamps. I may also have to use the excuse of the cost of mailing to Canadian friends to run over the border. Would any Canadian Peas who read this please let me know how much a card mailed within Canada would cost?

"Global mail is all the same price to every international destination now (i.e. they gouge us equally for Canada-bound mail as for places that are actually overseas! ) " Sorry this is not correct for post from Australia. It is $2.30 ($1.79US) for each card sent at Holiday rates. Normal mail is $2.70 flat rate. This may have a bearing on jut how many get sent this year but for next year I can plan a little better!

Sorry, I should have said more clearly, the US postal service charges the same to all international destinations, Canada as well as overseas destinations. They call it "global" so for people buying stamps they don't need to specify what country - just ask for "global" stamps. My bad.

Bought two Christmas packs of 100 stamps each today at Costco. Heading to the Bay Area tomorrow to hit Hobby Lobby and bigger Michaels and Joanns than we have up here. This is so much fun! Even though we have no kids living at home I might have to get a world map to *pin* where the cards come from.

Hey, ihaveonly1l are you doing this swap? I don't see your name on the address list? I've had a couple people notice that my name disappeared from the list the second time it went out, so I may as well answer here. I'm waiting to hear from my doctor if I need hip surgery. Long story short, I've got a crack in the femoral neck that just won't heal. It gets close and then the soreness kicks in. If I have to have surgery, there will be no way to get everything done. My plan is to figure out a treatment plan and if I can jump back in, I have all the addresses. At this time, I feel like I'm a maybe and that isn't fair so I opted out. I'll keep everyone posted and if possible, will jump in. I hope to have a treatment plan soon. I've had several scans in recent days and I'm hoping that we make some decisions soon.
