I'm getting them all confused! Is this the guy who racked up over $400,00 in traveling and said he would pay for his seat which came to $51,000? Yes, that is Price.

"Party of fiscal restraint" my fucking ass. Nope. They voluntarily relinquished that label a long time ago. Gleeful fat cats gorging on the public money. Disgusting. And when debt is 75% of GDP and they're proposing TAX CUTS (poor Paris Hilton y'all) on the same old tired bullshit "trickle down" mantra, they lose the moniker again. And again. And again. And again.

Short blurb from CNN opinion piece.....: www.cnn.com/2017/09/29/opinions/tom-price-failure-ford-vox-opinion/index.html""Price, whose net worth is estimated at $13.6 million, has the ability to repay the full cost of his fare on these flights. But his offering up the government a $52,000 reimbursement only made his situation worse, in my estimation, by revealing a character flaw. Price's check, which he described as covering "the expenses of my travel," represented an attempt to save his own skin at the cost of the HHS underlings who accompanied him on some of these flights. By offering up his fractional reimbursement check, he endorsed the idea that any government official who rode on these flights with him, including much lower level functionaries, bear the responsibility to reimburse the government for their own seats. If Secretary Price believed himself solely to blame, as the official who decided to charter the flights in the first place, then he should have offered to pay their entire costs. One can understand why he was reluctant to do so, at roughly 7% of his estimated net worth. "" He was the BOSS: they had no choice of mode of transportation... Should they have taken the train?

Yes, except the current estimate of his private & military travel is over $1 million. Watching Rachel last night she was cracking up how someone needs to tell him when you charter a private plane you're buying ALL the seats not just the one your butt is in. How much food and water would that $$million buy for Puerto Ricans Mr.Price? @$$hole. Hellsbells.

And of course should we count all the ones he hasn't ever hired yet? But I guess we can't afford them to be hired!!
I have a solution to the private jets etc.... Ask someone to be bumped for $1000+, would be far cheaper!

"HHS says Price will reimburse for equivalent of commercial business class seats, not cost of charter flights. $51,887.31. Fraction of cost."
What a F#($*wad. He didn't fly commercial business class!!!! That's the problem. He didn't fly commercial coach or commercial business. He needs to reimburse the CHARTER costs at CHARTER costs, not at much lower business class rates.

It's actually super easy to understand. Trump is not a stand-up, public servant kind of guy. He's corrupt, he's power-hungry, and he doesn't have the good of the American people at heart. The type of person who would work for such a man is exactly the type that would behave like Price. A hard-working, honest, competent person is NOT going to want to have anything to do with this administration. Trump got the kind of people who are willing to work for him. They are not good people, for the most part. There are some who are doing the job out of patriotism (Mattis), but many who are incompetent and KNOW they aren't in any way qualified. But the good ole boys network allows them to have this opportunity, and they take it because it's good for them, the rest of America be damned. YES. I hope that all those millions of Americans who thought having a “businessman,” not a politician, in the White House are taking notice. THIS is what happens. With a few rare exceptions, big corporate business has turned its back on ethics, integrity, and morals decades ago. When you put big business in charge of the government, you get a group of amoral assholes running things who care more about their own comfort and champagne tastes than serving the people. Big business leaders in charge of government resemble dictatorships, not representative democracies. All those millions who voted for this have reaped what they sowed. They are making America the cash cow for the already wealthy. It certainly isn’t anywhere near “great again” for anyone but Trump’s wealthy buddies, the Neo-Nazis, KKK and other White Supremacists. I hope Trump supporters are proud. Not one of the people who I know (other than my redneck relatives) who voted for him, would vote the same way again, given the chance. He and his buddies are raping this country.

My husband has held a US government administration position (career, not political) where he was expected to drive (g'ment car) 400 miles/many hours for a business trip. And back again. Allowed to fly the 700 miles to D.C., he's sat in coach (government rates) near Senators Durbin or Obama.
It's 139 miles from D.C. to Philadelphia. Freakin' chartered plane?
This whole thing thing does not sit well with the rank and file.

linkGotta fly coach and commercial dude. He spent 25k on a charter between Washington and Philly. Forget coach, he should've used the Chinatown bus. My DD got from Philly to DC by 9 am for $20 ( which was actually round trip ). It’s called Megabus. They should try it sometime.

There are decent businessmen out there, even a few with brains too.

Wonder what is real worth is........... Not so sure he is the great businessman his supporters think he is. I venture to say he owns millions to banks including foreign banks and investors. In 8.5 months his transportation costs are more then costs for the 8 years Obama served.

What a (hypocritical) piece o' work he is.

There are decent businessmen out there, even a few with brains too. We have had good political leadership from people that were businessmen first. Bloomberg is the first that comes to mind. I wouldn't call Price a businessman, or most of Trump's cabinet TBH.
