I love this idea! I'll participate. My town just got our own Ulta, FINALLY. The soft opening is this week and everything is 20% off and I've already been twice. I bought the most fabulous eye shadow palette, and cheeeap! OMG. I'm thrilled with it. I'd never heard of this brand and when I bought it, I thought it was by Revlon. The brand is Makeup Revolution. After I got home I started searching YouTube for reviews, and wow, they are all really good. They make knock offs of the pricier eye palettes, like the Nakeds, etc. Um, $50.00 vs $7? Sign me up! Here is the one I bought. The colors glide on, buttery and smooth. They wear all day, and my day starts at 5:30 am (when I do my face) and some days I don't wash off until 9:00 ish. Beautiful. I"m going to collect them all. I'm also a new convert to It cc cream. A girlfriend gave me a big tube for my birthday and I am sold on this stuff. I love it so much I'm going to be looking at their other products now. I bought a Tarte under eye concealer and I just don't like it. Its too spackle-y, gets in my wrinkles and just doesn't blend well. I'm also looking for a good cleanser for the shower in the morning. The weather has turned really dry and my current face wash is too drying. I like Olay, I'll check there. I'm kinda over Lush for the most part. The stuff goes bad if you don't use things up, I've had to toss more than one thing. I do love love they Buffy bar, and the newest version of it, the Scrubee. Smells divine and feels like butter, great for elbows, knees, tush. Anywhere you need exfoliating. It leaves your skin soft and smooth after.

I haven't added much new lately, more trying to use up older products before they go off! I'm something of a MAC addict and I picked up one of the nudes released alongside Nicki Minaj's shades - I got Mmmmmm. Really like it, it's a true MLBB shade on me. My other recent purchase was a large oval face brush for applying foundation - like this. I got a cheap off-brand one as I wasn't sure how I'd get on with it, but it's excellent, the dense soft bristles give a really immaculate finish Is that the one that's supposed to be a dupe for UD Naked 3? I have that one, and I confess I've hardly used it. Sounds like I might need to crack it out a bit more often!

Having neglected my face for years, actually doing harm by sunning outside and never wearing sunglasses ( 😳 ), I've been trying to play catch up the last few years. I use Algenist Complete Eye Renewal Balm. This works really nicely on my crows feet and under my eyes. I used to use philosophy Ultimate Miracle Worker cream on my face. It was truly a miracle worker, but I wanted to try something else after a few years. I've been using it Confidence In A Cream and really loving it.
I mainly switched to the it cream because I bought some it cc cream. Which I love too. 😊

MAC released the Nicki Minaj collection of 18 lipsticks and lipglosses. I'm currently wearing the Spice lipgloss. I saw a video review of them. Do you like them? Do they last? What are the colours like? Am I going to want them???

I had one I loved until I'd washed it a few times, the bristles went clumpy and lost the softness they had. I really liked the finish it gave and would buy another. Which one did you get? I recently tried Lash Paradise mascara and hated it, I'd been out for the afternoon and when I got home I looked in the mirror and realised I'd been channelling Alice Cooper the whole time!! Save

I gave away my Naked 3 Palette to my sister in law because I never used it. Just felt that the colours were all a bit samey throughout the palette. Love Naked 1 and 2 though. Those makeup revolution palettes are fab though! Such good pigmentation for the price.

Just bought some Hyarulonic acid serum, face cream, and cleanser to try out. I'm interested in the serum mostly though. I also bought Tata Harper's Oil Cleanser, and Dr. Jart+ Ceramidin liquid and cream.
I recently purchased Elizabeth Arden's ceramide capsules, which are amazing.

So glad it's working for you! I love my eyelashes now too.
I have a few favorite mascaras. The L'Oréal Lash Paradise from the drugstore or Chanel Le Volume de Chanel. The Chanel really gives a ton of length and thickness...can be too much for an everyday look. I also like Tarte's Light Cameras Lashes. I received a sample in a Sephora Play Box. I like that I can layer it up during the day and it doesn't get cakey or gloopy. In the mornings I often put on just mascara and tinted moisturizer. Then later in the day I will do eyeshadow and add more mascara. The Tarte is great for that.
I use Cereve Hydrating Cleanser in the showers in the morning. It has a lotion like feel but doesn't leave me feeling greasy (or dry).
My favorite under eye concealer is the Benefit Boi-ing Brightening Concealer. It's a peachy concealer, which I find really helps with darkness, which is what I want. I was skeptical when I saw the color in the pot, but it really works. I set it with the Laura Mercier powder I mentioned above. It doesn't look dry or accentuate fine lines.

Timely. I just got in from Ulta! I love any and all Benefit products for my eyes, especially all of their eyebrow "stuff". My daughter and I both use this line and she especially gets compliments all the time on her brows (she's 14 ) I just picked up a new tube of They're Real mascara. I also got a few NYX products because they are cheap and I love 'em! I legit just bought a lilac mascara (called Forget Me Nots). No clue if I will actually wear it but hey, it looked fun!

I also love my Emma Hardie cleansing balm for removing stubborn mascara first time.

I love talking about makeup and skin care.
My favorites are: It Cosmetics CC Cream It Cosmetics Super Hero Mascara IT Cosmetics Bye Bye undereye cream Peter Thomas Roth Water drench cream Urban Decay Lipstick "Rapture" NYX Lip Lingerie "Embellishment"
My newest favorite is Peter Thomas Roth FirmX peeling exfoliator
I love lipstick.Though I do have my favorites, I cannot resist trying new brands and colors. I lean towards mauve and lighter berry colors.
I currently get Sephora Play, Walmarts seasonal beauty box, and occasionally Targets box.
I am a bargain shopping as far as clothes. I never spend more than $25-ish on a purse, and have one daily purse and one crossbody going out purse. Can't wear perfume. Have about ten pairs of shoes. Get my books from the library. Not a foodie. My splurge, is makeup and skin care.
Looking forward to reading all the posts on this thread.

I love philosophy's purity and micro-delivery facial washes and then I use the Asian Exfoliating Bath Washcloth. My skin is so much smoother and no more dry patched of skin either!

My go to product is Lipstick Queen Medieval Lipstick. It is the perfect shade of red that looks amazing on everyone. It is a incredible formula that is like a lip balm it is so moisturizing to your lips, and instead of a dry, opaque look it adds the perfect amount of light, beautiful sheen that is so incredibly gorgeous. It lights up your whole face. Every girl needs one amazing lipstick-this is it. The one you can always rely on.
Geez! That sounded like a commercial. So sorry-I do not work for them, but I adore Lipstick Queen. The woman who started the company, Poppy loved lipstick but didn't like what was offered by other companies so she decided to start her own company. It has grown and grown. I've been using their products for the past few years. My favorites are Medieval, Frog Prince, and Butterfly Ball. Before I found their lipstick I couldn't wear lipstick at all. My lips are dry due to my being hypothyroid and all other lipsticks were always too dry. Her's really are like the best lip balms.

I think I have mentioned it before, but I am a Charlotte Tilbury fan. My favorite is the Uptown girl palette. I have bought a few similar colors at a cheaper price but nothing seems to look as good. They also have videos for each palette which is helpful.
I got a Yves Saint Laurent mascara sample called The Shock which I really like. My daughter likes it because she says it smells really good. I am not sure why anyone would care what the eyes smell like but I thought I would mention it. Lol!! Anyway, I think I will buy a regular tube.

I think I'll go check out that red you mentioned. I need a good red. And are matte lipsticks back for this season? And did you all pick up Allure magazine this month? Its the best of beauty issue. Lots of fun stuff!

Macy's sent along a sample of that ceramide capsule and I tossed in a drawer. Guess I need to dig it out.

I have found that Ulta brand eyeliner pencil is relatively cheap ($7), really lasts a long time, and comes in many colors.

cmpeter Just wanted to say thanks for posting about Careprost. I ordered it around middle-end of August and now I have long lashes again!!! Oh, and I used that tiny Elf brush to apply it. Now to find a great mascara. I know there are a million threads! I missed that post. What is Careprost and is it OTC?

I must look into this "IT Cosmetics" you speak of.
I will be 60 in 2 weeks & I think I need a whole new makeover. I'm taking notes. I'd appreciate any suggestions from the more mature girls.

I pay the $10 yearly Sephora flash shipping charge and that makes it too easy to hit order!

Muy holy grail mascara is Benefit Roller Lash. Love it! I couldn't wear mascara for a long time, because it always flaked into my eyes, got under my contacts and was super irritating. They're Real is my second favorite.
I also use IT CC Cream and Bye Bye Under Eye. Although I have to use the concealer with a sponge, because it's too difficult to apply without. I dab it on with my fingers and blend it with the sponge.
I rarely wear lipstick, but when I do, it's Lipstick Queen Frog Prince. I love how moisturizing it is and the color is really pretty. A natural magenta/pink (that starts out green).

My latest mascara discovery is the Make Up Forever excessive lash mascara. I got it in an ipsy bag and was annoyed at yet another mascara, but I love it. It mostly just makes my blonde lashes black (which is what I want) without smudging, smearing, or flaking unless I REALLY rub my eyes for some reason.
Still on the quest for my perfect skin care regimen but that's a whole other thread.
