they had the new shape tape foundation Did you see the big stink on the lack of diversity in their shade range? I did & they were spot on. There were like 18 shades available, but my Ulta only had about 10 of them in stock. And none of the ones in stock were for a darker complexion. IMHO this line of foundation won't be around long before its replaced with something better (and in more shades). SaveSave

I love LβOrΓ©al mascaras and I like them a bit newer. The one I have is a bit dry now. I have a selection of them so I will open another package. They are wonderful. Did you know you can put an eye drop in it to wet them? Will that work? I have some good eye drops so I could try that. It's just a little bit dry now.

Hey - can someone recommend a product that will help remove/lighten a spot I have on the side of my face?

Hey - can someone recommend a product that will help remove/lighten a spot I have on the side of my face? Do you live near a Canadian border state? Buy some Hydraquinone at 4% and it is supposed to lighten brown spots. My GP told me to use it. I think it's by Rx in the US. You could try Retin A, too, as it lightens age discolouration and sun spots.

SaveSaveChances are they will. You want 4% or more. I don't know if it comes in more. Retin A might be cheap down there, too. If you can get a couple of tubes of it do so. It's not hard to use and you just get 0.25% and get a 0.5% and use the lower strength for months and see how you do. Then when you are ready use the higher strength. Your skin will peel. It will be baby soft after that. I use it.

You can laugh at me now...
I bought some Unwrinkle Peel Pads from Peter Thomas Roth at Sephora online on the weekend and used one today. I put it on my face and thought ewwww it's so sticky. I didn't read the instructions because I knew better...Ok first almost mistake. I wiped my face with the medicated pad and then left this on for about 5 minutes and went and rinsed it off. I had to get rid of the sticky. People with dry skin are to use it 3x week and rinse off in 3 min. Well I am glad i did it right. I thought it was a leave on product.
All that said, my skin feels AMAZING!!!! I thought WTH all day long as my skin felt really nice the entire day. I touch my skin way too much and it just felt silky smooth. This is after one application only. I am glad to know it works!

Eye shadow colors-- I feel like the popular reds and pinks make me look sick, or like I've been crying. I do like purples, though-- makes my green irises look greener. What are your 'go to' eye shadow colors? I love Nocturnelle from Mac - a beautiful wearable purple. I wear it to work! Also sumptuous olive from Mac is utterly gorgeous. ETA: I should mention I have green eyes too. I also really love the Naked 1 palette.

Iβve been using LβOrΓ©alβs new Fiber X mascara and love it! Itβs a 2 step process with a primer on one end and a fiber mascara on the other. I like that the primer is black instead of the usual white. The mascara makes my lashes nice and fluffy and not too spidery like other fiber mascaras. It last all day and doesnβt iratate my contacts either. If youβre looking for a new mascara to try, pick one up!

I am getting Botox done on Thursday this week. I want my eyes and mouth to look good for the wedding next week. They aren't horrible now, but they aren't good either.
I haven't used Retin A in a couple of weeks as I didn't want any peeling either right now. I will start again next week with it.
I still use my cleansing pads from Peter Thomas Roth and they do an excellent job. My skin has never felt this smooth in my whole life. I use them Sun, Wed and Fri ever week.
I tried the next shade in IT CC Cream and the colour is amazing. I really like it and it matches my skin so well. I like how it glows on my face.
I have to send a bottle of foundation back to MAC as the shade is too light. I am half a shade darker and it makes all the difference. I could see my pores (these little white craters on my nose) when I used the lighter shade. I can't see them any longer. I talked to them on the phone and they said there would be no trouble returning it.

What are your 'go to' eye shadow colors? I really only wear neutrals. Iβve seen a lot of people wearing orange-y shadow lately and it just seems off. It is not right for the skin tone of the people Iβm seeing it on.

Does that sound reasonable? My skin just feels so smooth thanks to them and Retin A. It hasn't felt like this in my whole life! I have hyper pigmentation on my cheek and it looks darker now. I tried using hydraquinone and that did nothing to it and neither did Retin A. Do I have to get it removed at the dermatologist's office?

I was looking at Angie's (hot and flashy) skin care routine and she uses an aha product in the morning and Retin-a at night. I think I will try that. I have a few of the PTR peel pads left so will try that. I also have some radiance pads from first aid beauty but I don't think they are to be washed off. Hopefully they work ok under makeup.

I am not sure I would buy it again, but I still have lots left so I have a while to decide.

I have a lot of go to colours - pink, purple, peach, orange, yellow, red, brown, green. I find the only colour I really can't make work is blue!
I also love gold and silver on my eyes.

My favorite mascara of all time was Mac's Zoom Fast Black Lash and they discontinued it about 6 months ago. I bought two tubes then (could seriously kick myself for not buying more) and I've been searching mascaras ever since. I'm super "mascara brush picky" so it's been a challenge. But I did buy the old, trusty Maybelline in the pink tube and it's not as good as the ZFBL but it'll suffice until I can find a new standby Mascara π I used to like Clinique until the fight to get it off every night was hurting my eyelids. I had to give up on it. I have sensitive skin and I can't use anything but water to get off mascara really. Sometimes it costs less to get more. Have you ever used this stuff for removing mascara? I actually thought of you when I saw it because I remembered reading that you had a hard time finding something that worked for you. I placed an order on Ulta today for a few things (I wanted the Laura Geller "free gift"), one of them was a Too Faced online only gift set and it is one of the things in it. I'm curious how it is. I have a mascara obsession. I love the trial/travel sized one, I think I have about 15 different brands in those. I always end up going back to Benefit Rollerlash or Smashbox Full Exposure it seems. The last few days I've been wearing Lancome Monsieur Big and I don't love it. I'll use the little tube I have, but I wouldn't buy the full size.

I am trying to use the same one for a few days and if I don't like it, toss it. I do like the Monseur Big. Some days I like Better than sex but other days it seems to smear. I'm not sure why. Those are the two I have been using lately, until I tried a different one today.

No, I haven't tried that but I will check it out, thank you. I use really cheap mascara because I know I can get it off easily. Anything that has "staying power" in the formula is too strong for me to remove. I don't know why it is so hard to remove, do you? I mean have a normal amount of eyelashes. I don't think my eyelashes are dense by any means (I have friends with really long, thick, curly ones...and that isn't me). They are longer now for sure but they don't look like extensions or anything. They are just natural and have an extra couple of millimetres added on. If I have used micellar water you would know because my eyelids go red and get puffy. That is just from touching the liquid to my eye. Giving up Clinique mascara was a good move (even though I love it). Better than Sex is good and i have 2 deluxe size ones that I got free with purchase, and I have a whole bunch of $10 ones from the drug store. When they dry up I just take another one as I have nothing invested in them. They do run on me a bit if it is cold and my eye waters the least little bit. Clinique would never do that to me. Also, EstΓ©e Lauder makes excellent mascara. I am equally impressed with it. MAC mascara I am so sensitive to that I will not wear it. When I tried some I first put it in my eye because if it burns then it will burn forever. It burned. I have had trouble with several other mascaras as well so this isn't a new problem for me. I also can't dye my eyelashes black as the pigment in the dye bothers my eyes. None gets in my eyes and yet they feel like they are on fire so I tried 2x and failed both times. The look was great though. That lead to me using lots of mascara.

I had a hard time finding something that would remove everything but also not bother my eyes, and this is great. I wipe it off with a microfiber makeup remove cloth.

I don't know why you have so much trouble. It seems like it would be the mascara's formula that would determine how easy it is to remove, or what works best and that it wouldn't be too different from person to person. I usually just use a makeup remover wipe followed by micellar water or just micellar water sometimes. I have tried Fresh Soy conditioning eye makeup remover, but it's kind of like a lotion and I didn't like it. I've never had an issue with micellar water, I use Philosophy's Purity Made Simple right now, but I think I'm going to try Garnier when it's gone because it's so much cheaper. I'm a big fan of Philosophy products though. I also ordered a travel size Urban Decay Meltdown Makeup Remover Dissolving Spray. I'm looking forward to trying it out.
Does anyone use the Makeup Eraser cloth? The reviews make it sound amazing. Too good to be true?

My lips get dry and it splits there on the lower right every 2 months. It does it in the summer, too. It doesn't look nice. It hardens over, I open my mouth to talk, it splits and bleeds and the healing process is pushed back another step. Vaseline helps but it's not that good. It's always the same place and I don't know why. I put lipstick over it and there is a scab running down the lip that you can see. Not attractive at all.

I'll bet the hydroquinone worked and I stopped using it and that's why it appears darker now. I will bet it went back to the original colour. I still have lots left in the tube of it so I can start using it again tonight. I was hoping it would vanish and it didn't do that but it is definitely darker right now for some reason. Foundation hides it pretty well but I don't want to wear foundation all the time.

I've found the original Blistex medicated ointment that comes in the red box to be pretty helpful. The ones in the little tubes are OK on a day to day basis, but don't help repair cracks or fever blisters like the original ones does.
