Timely. I just got in from Ulta! I love any and all Benefit products for my eyes, especially all of their eyebrow "stuff". My daughter and I both use this line and she especially gets compliments all the time on her brows (she's 14 ) I just picked up a new tube of They're Real mascara. I also got a few NYX products because they are cheap and I love 'em! I legit just bought a lilac mascara (called Forget Me Nots). No clue if I will actually wear it but hey, it looked fun! Do you or your daughter use the benefit brow stuff in Shade 3? I just got a GWP from Ulta that has some of that product in it and it's too dark for me. I'd be happy to send them your way.

peasapie Careprost is a lash enhancer, but MUCH less expensive than Latisse. It works! Oh! Do I need a prescription? Where is the best place to buy it? Iāve been wanting to try something like that.

No prescription- I ordered from The Beauty Bliss- through the link in my post- $29. Same as cmpeter. Then I followed her advice about not using those wide brushes that come with it. Bought the skinny Elf one at Walmart for $2 so I wouldn't waste any.

I love this idea! I'll participate. My town just got our own Ulta, FINALLY. The soft opening is this week and everything is 20% off and I've already been twice. " style="max-width:100%;"] I bought the most fabulous eye shadow palette, and cheeeap! OMG. I'm thrilled with it. I'd never heard of this brand and when I bought it, I thought it was by Revlon. The brand is Makeup Revolution. After I got home I started searching YouTube for reviews, and wow, they are all really good. They make knock offs of the pricier eye palettes, like the Nakeds, etc. Um, $50.00 vs $7? Sign me up! Here is the one I bought. The colors glide on, buttery and smooth. They wear all day, and my day starts at 5:30 am (when I do my face) and some days I don't wash off until 9:00 ish. Beautiful. I"m going to collect them all. I was at Ulta today to exchange a lipstick. I saw those palettes but wasn't sure if they were all matte (I was having a teary eye day)?

I don't even want to share my latest find because then it's going to become popular and I won't ever be able to find it, but I recently got some Maybelline SuperStay Matte Ink Liquid Lipstick. Link OMG, I love it. I'm a lipstick failure and even Lipsense doesn't work for me. It gets all flakey and crappy looking within a few hours, but this stuff is the bomb. I use one coat (but I lean towards the lighter colors) and it seriously lasts all day long. And longer. No flaking, drying, no constant application of gloss, etc. It's a little sticky when you put it on, but give it a few minutes to dry and it will stick with you through everything all day and night. In fact, I use a lipstick remover at night to remove it and it's amazing how much color I still get off. I wore it every day for a long weekend trip to Arkansas (and it was HOT there, which is saying a lot since I'm from Texas) and we were hiking for hours in the woods (sweating my ass off) and that lipstick didn't budge a bit. It's not drying at all and you don't need any top coat or gloss with it. My favorite color is Lover if you want a nice rosy color. I also have Dreamer, which gives me a more natural lip look like I'm barely wearing anything. Not sure if I'm going to try Loyalist (which is the lightest), but I do think I'm going to get Pioneer, which is the blue-red. I don't wear red a lot, but when I do, I darn sure don't want it getting on everything. There's almost nothing I hate to look at more than lipstick on a glass or cup. (Note, I did see one swatch review and she didn't like the application of the two purple colors - Creator and specifically Believer - because they went on blotchy, but she was obviously doing them back to back and I think that it was more of a case of her having remover on her lips so the color didn't apply evenly. When I apply it, I put on one coat, wait about 1-2 minutes and then blot very, very lightly. You don't have to blot, but I always seem to get a bit of a ridge line along the upper and lower edge, so blotting helps smooth it out for me and set it almost immediately. It runs $8-$10 at Walgreens, Target, CVS, etc. It's the lipstick that will actually make me toss ALL my other lipsticks. Finally.

I'm another It Bye Bye Undereye concealer convert, but have learned you only need an itty bitty bit, and I warm it up on the back of my hand before dabbing it gently under my eyes. I get a really smooth finish with it that way, and it then blends well with my It CC+ foundation. I've been using Paula's Choice Resist products before bed - Optimal Results Hydrating Cleanser, Daily Smoothing Treatment 5%AHA (love!), and the Super Antioxidant Concentrate Serum under my eyes. It's been a very good combination for me. During the time I'm awake (I work nights) I've been using Dermalogica's Skin Smoothing Cream, and Multivitamin Power Firm under my eyes, with great results. Several months ago Olaplex 3 was recommended by someone here, and I've since been using it once a week on my color-treated hair. I went without it for one month and really noticed a difference. My hair started looking and feeling like straw. So now I'm back to using it every week.

Face masks: what do you love, hate, use, where to buy, smell, sheet or essence??? Please give as many details as you feel like.
I was watching YouTube one day and saw these eye masks. They are some sort of silicone and have essence on them. They are so cool. I tried to find the receipt, but canāt right now. I love using them. There are about 80 in the container and they are all that. I will post the brand name when I find it. I do them about once a week and they feel so nourishing. That is the word I would use to describe them. They look like they have gold in them. I will keep looking for the brand. I am in Europe right now and they are in my makeup container at home. They are a must have!

I really love the CoverGirl Outlast lip stains/glosses but I'd like to try other brands with the same idea (gloss dries on your lips and really does not come off for hours - you put a clear gloss on top as needed for moisture). I'd like to see what else is out there. Anyone have any recommendations?

I love the nyx eye primer, works really well! I have both the pot version and the wand version. Ulta also has great sales on nyx products. I also use their eyebrow powder and works great too.
Any recs for a foundation that can cover well and stay put? I dont have acne but would love to cover my freckles and skin spots. I am using a Tarte concealer that I love so I might stay with Tarte, but am open to anything. Would prefer to get it at Ulta but can venture into Sephora if need be. That place overwhelms me lol!

I agree with BF on the Maybelline Matte Ink stuff...I have Lover too and it's fabulous.
I recently bought a Huda Beauty lip kit from Sephora and really like their liquid matte lipstick too. Stays on forever and isn't drying.

I'm going to try that Maybelline Matte ink now too.
I recently bought Infallible 2-Step lipcolor by Loreal and it was terrible, both tubes went into the trash. They were dry and immediately chapped my lips. They felt gross.

Sigh. I tried SO HARD not to open this thread. Clearly, I was unsuccessful. oh yvonne can you tell me the shade of that palate? Those are my favorite shades. It looked like iconic 3, but wasn't quite sure burningfeather Thank you! Can't wait to try. Cover Girl doesn't work for me, unfortunately, because I love it. I tried IT mascara and was not super happy with it. Very expensive and not so great, even with a primer first. Going back to my old standard of L'Oreal Double ExtendI've been really happy with my L'Oreal Color Match makeup. I think it always looks fresh on my not-so-youthful skin.

Has anyone tried anything from The Ordinary? I just ordered their Serum Foundation to try. It's been hyped up here in the UK due to it's low price point but great quality. Looking forward to giving it a test drive!

After a few comments on the Tracy is at it again thread about make-up, I decided to search NSBR to see if anyone started one. Thanks, @peachicetees! the only ELF products I use are their brushes. I'm just not that impressed otherwise. The brushes are nice for the price. I went into Ulta the other day, and for some reason, I looked at the Clairsonic brushes. Did anyone know that they now make a makeup application brush? I've been looking at makeup brushes so I'll be checking both of these out. I've been doing the castor oil on my eyelashes thing for the last 6 weeks to get them to grow longer. IT WORKS!!! And super cheap!!! After I'm finished with this bottle of generic latisse, I'll try this. Here is the one I bought. The colors glide on, buttery and smooth. They wear all day, and my day starts at 5:30 am (when I do my face) and some days I don't wash off until 9:00 ish. Beautiful. I"m going to collect them all. Those look like shades I'd wear daily. Bonus, I have an ulta in town.

I've just gotten back into make up and have been trying to take better care of my skin. You know, the kids are older, and I'll only a couple of years from 50 now.
For lipstick, I've really gotten into lipsense and think I need all the colors. Not all of the colors last all day. My most recent one gets a little flaky and comes off within an hour, luckily they are returnable. But they really don't come off when I kiss my family or when drinking. So the couple of colors that I'm not crazy about I can deal with.
I just tried their eye shadow and loved it as well. Although they have a black that they use for an eyeliner and I prefer to use a dark brown. Currently just using an Almay one that is a pencil, since the liquid I tend to smear.
I'm still looking for an eye cream and wrinkle cream that won't break the bank.
I've been looking at videos on how to apply make-up as well. Especially eye make-up. I love all the different looks I see, but I've only ever applied 1 way. Hoping to expand my capabilities.
I will share this for those older women here that have a few wrinkles like me. I just read that we shouldn't use powder. I usually use a powder after my foundation. They say the powder will settle into the tiny wrinkles and make them look bigger. It's best to use a setting spray. So I guess I'll be looking into that as well.

I've been using Dermalogica Active Moist after a recommendation here ( cmpeter I think...thanks!). I have an oily t-zone and this has really helped my make up stay looking good for longer. I have just been introduced to GlamGlow. I have used the YouthMud TingleExfoliate Treatment twice now (once a week is plenty I feel). It does tingle a bit for a few minutes but if you have done other face peels and the like it won't be anything new. (I'm 48) Once the mask has dried you remove it with wet fingers in a circular motion to scrub away dead skin. My skin feels amazing after using it.

LisaDV, I just bought napa lipsense and really like it but wish I got plum. Napas not as bright as I wanted. But I still love it. My NARS haul included a concealer. She actually gave me a shade almost lighter than the foundation I got as well. I have looked more alive since. I have the worst undereye circles from having a baby that hates sleep. I may remain tired for the rest of my life. I also got some eyebrow filler and a brush. I never filled my eyebrows before but really love it.

They do have a non matte Superstay, I haven't tried it though. I have put a buxom gloss over my matte and it didn't seem to really change the wearability. The gloss wore off but my lipstick stayed on. .
