I thought of this thread as I was getting ready this morning...I started using Rimmel Provocalips about a year ago...I love it! Color last pretty much all day long without needing to reapply - I might do a touch up after lunch but don't always need to. My fave color is "I'll Call You" I have the 3rd from the bottom and the bottom one. I like both of them, they last a very long time. I tried the one in between them and it was awful on me. They are on sale right now, and I'd like to try the first one.

Hi I went shopping to a department store in Biarritz and bought Arcancil Mat Hysteria liquid lipstick, a 2 sided bronzer and a blush. So far I love all of it. I got a lip balm too based on what the sales person told me I needed. I was ripe for being enabled and when am I going to get back there? The liquid lipstick is amazingly moisturizing and my lips didnβt crack at all. I might need another one. It β¬12.50 which is $18 Canadian so I thought reasonable. I will do a better review when I make up my full face when I use the other stuff, too.

I picked up some Lacura double effect eye gel last time I was in Aldi, it's easily as good as the more expensive eye stuff I've tried.

It's like a thick liquid, dries very quickly but is a little bit sticky (that makes me think you won't like it) It's best applied at night as it doesn't sit well under makeup. It has no colour. For Β£3.99 it's a good buy. Save

I started watching a skin care youtube channel this week that I would highly recommend. Dr. Dray -- she is a Houston dermatologist and does a great job breaking down what all the big words mean as far as ingredients go. She goes through the skin care aisles of Walgreens, Ulta, CVS, etc. and talks about the products, the ingredients, which are effective and why, and which are just a waste of money. She's a quirky little thing but she's so, so smart. Go watch her! So I watched a couple of videos and I didn't like her at all. Am I missing something? The videos are lengthy (17 mns or so) and I had to fast forward through endless nonsense about selecting bagels and other stuff. Her voice - I seriously hate to criticize that, but it's so whiny and her mom's voice is awful as well. All that to find a few tidbits about not putting essential oils in things. I'm not impressed.

I definitely use a make remover to get it off though.

What holiday items are you guys eyeing up? I think I want the turquoise Too Faced planner/palette that's at Ulta. There is usually at least one thing I will want from Sephora and Ulta on Black Friday, but I haven't seen spoilers for those yet. Not sure if these are specifically holiday items, but I am interested in this palette from Ciate and maybe this Laniege trial kit. Has anyone bought any of the Too Faced Peachy line yet? I really like what I am seeing so far and would like an honest opinion. I canβt go to Sephora until the 24th and I am chomping at the bit to get some. Anyone? Do you mean the "peaches and cream" line that is at Sephora and toofaced.com only, or the "Sweet Peach" line that's been out for a while? If you mean peaches and cream, I have the peach frost highlighter, which I love. Smells fantastic-- it is different from (better than, IMO) the sweet peach line. I mostly use it as a brow highlighter. I just ordered the setting powder tonight. Will report back. I checked out the lipsticks in store, but I didn't really like how those smelled compared to the powders, and none of the colors seemed quite right for me. If you mean the sweet peach, I have the eyeshadow palette and it's nice, though I use chocolate bar more. I had a couple of the lip glosses but they also tasted just a little funny. I wouldn't mind getting the highlighting palette, though. I wish we had ultra, that set looks fab

Don't use Retin A around your eyes. It's too harsh.

I get what you're saying. She's not everyone's cup of tea. She does have some videos that are more to the point and less "day in the life". For example, she does one where she talks about Cerave products and another where she talks about Differin (adapalene .01%) and really explains the benefits of the ingredients. I watch Hot & Flashy and she uses tons of products which can be confusing if you don't know what she's talking about. I find Dr. Dray explains things very clearly.

Went to Sephora today because sadly, Iβm not loving my Rihanna foundation. It may be that I picked the wrong shade, or itβs not playing well with my primer and/or brush. Itβs a wee bit cakey and you can tell Iβm wearing it. I was going to try the Tarte Amazon Clay foundation, but they were out of my shade of course. But I was given a large sample, and if I like it Iβll probably return Rihannaβs foundation. Have you tried the fenty beauty foundation with a damp beautyblender? I always try a new foundation three ways before I make a verdict - hands, brush and beautyblender. BB is my preferred method for almost all foundations.

For skin care I really love Dr. Hauschka products. One because I have sensitive skin and they are gentle on my skin. And mostly because they work. I get them for 25% off online at this site www.pharamca.com which really helps with the cost. I wash my face every day with this product "Soothing Cleansing Milk" because I have dry, sensitive skin. It feels amazing after I wash my face with this. I get a 4.9 oz glass bottle with a pump for $29.25. Which lasts a really long time. Then I use the "Regenerating Day Cream" all over my face concentrating under my eyes and dabbing it on an age spot that I have on the side of my face. Since I've been using it (I bought a tube in May) the age spot has almost disappeared and the wrinkles under my eyes have too! It's not cheap ($63.75 for 1.3 oz) but it works and that's what counts. They have a separate eye cream but I just use this one all over my face. I used their Rose Day Cream for a couple of years before this because it's a lot cheaper, but their Regenerating line is what is made for mature skin and at 57 that's me. I don't like using a ton of chemicals on my face if I don't have to, especially with sensitive skin. If you are curious and want to try products from this line they have a quiz at the Dr.Hauschka website to help you determine what products are right for your type of skin.

I got the Maybelline matte lip stuff talked about on here. I donβt love it.

Hi I am about to go shopping now. I need to get a new mascara as mine is almost dry. I just bought this one, too. I am in Barcelona for the EuroPeas does anyone have any suggestions what I should get? I am open to anything. I have 2 new ones at home but this is dry now. (BFF said to go without. Yeah, that not going to happen!)

Hi I was at the department store in France and havenβt told you about what the salesperson sold me. She said I needed a moisturizer after taking off liquid lipstick and wanted me to buy Moisture Lip Balm by Sisley. I donβt know how much it was. It is very lip quenching and it makes them the β mβ word without being sticky or greasy. It has beeswax in it but no menthol. Yay! If my hair were longer it would bug me though but itβs great,

Does anyone use EstΓ©e Lauder advanced night repair and night repair eye? I've used their Night Repair for years but stopped when they reformulated it. I've looked for other products but haven't found anything that works as well. I found a travel size jar when I was cleaning out my cosmetics last week. So I started using it again. Their eye treatment is thicker and feels really nice and soothing--a little goes a long way. I've just used the trave sized jars I've gotten as free gifts. Since I just turned 40, I'm going to buy a full-sized jar of that as well. Just using the Estee Lauder for a couple of days has made a noticeable difference in my skin. I use the advanced night repair as a serum after I wash my face at night--I use the No 7 sensitive skin wipes from Target or micellar water. Target sells a two pack for $10, so I keep a pack beside my bed along with the pack in my bathroom. The wipes work really well on my normal eye makeup--when I use liquid liner for a cat eye and extra mascara, I add some micellar water on the wipe and rub gently. These products don't irritate my skin or make my eyes burn. I made my own face oil from organic rosehip oil, jojoba, shea oil, and sweet almond. I got a box of cobalt glass bottles with dropper caps on Amazon, and some small cobalt glass bottles with the roller balls. I keep the small roller bottle in my nighttime skincare bag. I roll the oil on over the serum. I tried the Oil of Olay serum, Regenerist, Luminous, and ultimate eye cream, but the perfumes and ingredients are irritating my skin. I'm going back to the Clinique Moisture Surge Dry moisturizer. I use it for daytime as well, and just put some La Roche-Possay Anthelios 60 spf over it. For my hands and body, I love L'Occitane Shea Butter products. The shea butter hand cream and shea butter body cream.--both are super thick and rich and last a long time. With no perfume. For my really dry, cracked skin, I use their Shea Butter--just a little swipe is enough to cover the skin around all my fingers and rub all over my hands. I got a tin of it in January and still have most of it left. I do like the Lavande and Rose hand lotions when I want a lighter weight hand lotion.

What holiday items are you guys eyeing up? I was watching Friday night beauty on qvc and ordered the Send Nudes liquid lip color trio. Should come Friday. I too got burningfeatherβs maybelline matte liquid lip stuff. First of all I have a super thin upper lip. And around my lips I have the wrinkles like a smoker. I have never smoked in my life. It really drew attention to that. I like the color but will stick to my Clinique honey guava lip gloss. I use the IT under eye concealer but I have really bad purple dark circles with crepey skin so nothing works well. Pushing 50 very very soon. I have a big shopping cart on amazon. Right now. I really want the lash enhancing stuff. My lashes arenβt bad but not as long as they used to be. I was going to break down and get extensions but Iβll try try this first. DD#3 has really sparse lashes so she can try it too. My older DDβs have long lashes My grocery sells Nyx so Iβm going to try the butter gloss soon. I love this thread.

I used Olay for years without problems then something changed about it and my face was an itchy, irritated mess. I hate when they mess with products! That happened to me with Clinique Dramatically Different lotion. I can't wear it at all with the new formulation (I say "new," but it's been years since they changed it). It irritates my skin and makes my face red.
