SPOILERS: The boat sinks. LOL! OP I never had a desire to see it but I happened to be visiting my mom When it was in the cheap theaters. (We live out of state from her. ). She wanted to see it and I guess my dad wouldn't go do I took her. It was way better than I thought it would be and I was glad I saw it. If is sad though.

I did see it when I was pregnant in the theater and I remember crying all the way home. It's a cheesy movie, but I love that era and the costumes so I thought is was beautiful movie to watch. I remember trying to find out what color lipstick Rose wore because I wanted it. I think it would be worth your time to watch it!

I thought I was the only person in the world who hadn't seen Star Wars! I love Star Trek, but never had any desire to see Star Wars!

Dh had never seen it until they were going to discontinue it from Netflix, so I made him watch it and he was looking up real facts for a week! Its back on Netflix I believe :-)

I had a teenage daughter at the time who loved it. Personally I think it took them way too long to drown.

I had it on VHS for many years. Whenever I felt blue, I would slip in the second tape, in which the ship sinks in real time.
Made me feel better every time.

Titanic was mentioned numerous times on the guilty pleasures movie thread. I've never seen it and have no desire to ever see it. I just have to know, am I alone in this? I'm with u!

I've never seen it, nor had the desire to see it. I always hate movies that get so much hype and feel let down, so I stopped bothering to watch them.

Not even. I haven't seen that or (all of) Forrest Gump. And about every other movie that has come out in the past 5 years.

No, you are not, and I will one up you by saying I have never watched one of any of the Harry Potter movies, either.... I haven't seen Titanic, any of the Harry Potter movies and I'll one up you both because I've also never seen ET or any of the Twilight movies You've never seen ET?!?! Wow. Just.. Wow. I have never seen the Star Trek movies, any of the Twilight movies, anything Indiana Jones related, or any of the LoTR series. I saw all the Harry Potter movies just as a family bonding exercise with my cousins. Saw the first Transformers movie because of my brother. Went to Pacific Rim to spend time with my friend's ds who is right now as close to a nephew as I have. The things I'll do for the people I love, I tell ya. Elannah - LOL at your Titanic joke. It was not my favourite either. I didn't hate it, but I certainly have NO desire to EVER watch it again. ETA that I'm one of the few people I know who went to Forrest Gump and absolutely hated it.

No, you are not, and I will one up you by saying I have never watched one of any of the Harry Potter movies, either.... I've seen Titanic a zillion times (taught a unit to my students) but I've never seen the Harry Potter movies ... I read the first book and that was enough for me ... dd #2 loves all things HP but I just couldn't get the appeal ... at least we have Titanic in common Leanne

Never watched the whole movie but I've caught 10 minutes here and there when on tv. I figured that was good enough!

I did see the boat sink, but I have not seen any Harry Potter movies. Haven't read the books, either. My eyes glaze over when people even mention them.

My curiosity ALWAYS gets the best of me and I HAVE to see/read/taste/try/buy/visit the latest and greatest things people get talking about. I hate not knowing about popular topics! So yeah, I saw Titanic shortly after it came out.

The Titanic was kind of a weird experience for me. I couldn't believe I was sitting through some of the worst acting I'd ever seen and kept asking myself if I wanted to continue to sit there and watch. But at the end when Celine Dion is shown singing My Heart Will Go On it just cast the whole movie in a different light. Haunted me for days afterwards.

I have a male friend who saw it 12 times in the theater, so that makes up for some who have never seen it.
I've never seen the Godfather or Pulp Fiction and probably never will of they helps - I don't like violent movies much

I saw it once. That was enough. I saw the first Harry Potter movie with my then 11 year old son. That was enough for me so his dad took him to the rest. And the Hobbit. And the Lord of the Rings

{raising hand} I've never seen Titantic or HP (I've read books 1-6), or Twilight (read all the books), or Hunger Games (only read book 1).
To be perfectly honest - I don't like watching movies. I know, weird. But it's true. I prefer to read a book rather than watch a movie.

Well, I have seen Titanic. However, I have not seen HP, Star Wars, Star Trek, LotR, Hobbit, gone with the Wind, godfather, sound of music, rocky horror and many more that I'm sure would shock some people. I also have never seen an episode of SNL. I am 2 weeks shy of my 45th birthday and will probably die without seeing any of those!

My girls were younger when Titanic came out so I have seen it quite a few times. I've never seen HP, Hobbit, Star Trek, Star Wars or any other sci-fi type movie. Just not a fan.
My friends can't believe I haven't seen Gone With The Wind or Sound of Music.

Titanic came out when I was in 8th grade and the girls I was trying SO HARD to impress were absolutely crazy about that movie. They dragged me to it a total of 7 times in the theater. I haven't seen it since - I joke that I can't because it would make me sea sick
