December birthday here too. We have given up on giving GIFTS of sorts and plan experiences or trips around our birthday and holidays
This year, We are going to see Jimmy Buffet in Nashville for New Years Eve.
We both have enough 'stuff' and when there is something either of us needs we tend to buy it, so it got where were buying things that we just things to fill a gift need.

With DH not being able to drive this year or navigate the mall with his walker, he told me that I should make an amazon wish list and he will buy off of it.
Problem is, I don't know what I want! Ugh.
For the first time ever in our relationship, I have to fill myself a stocking. DH is bummed he can't go pick stuff out for me. I told him to make a list and my bff will go get it but he likes to do it himself. I told him I will make myself happy and buy good stuff lololol....he smiled at that.
I just have a couple new white mountain puzzles and a make up set on my list. I really want a new DSLR, (mine is 12 years old), but not sure I want him to spend the money.

I bought myself a Louis Vuitton last week in the Damier pattern, which I've lusted after for years. And I bought myself a Young Living Aria essential oil diffuser and am considering those both my Christmas and birthday presents. I am besotted with this thing. It emits scented mist from a glass globe on a maple base. It has LED lights and it plays soothing music (you can also play music on your phone through it). I haven't slept without it since I got it. Every night is spa night now. youtu.be/8m5vStB3GWoOh boy. I really REALLY like both of these. I just added that essential oil diffuser to my amazon wish list...

We are buying a smaller, newer travel trailer so that's going to be our family gift. We are enjoying the search for it.
But I love my underwater MP3 player so I can lose track of time while swimming laps. It is really old, maybe 15 years, and the music is no longer loud enough for me to hear it. I am not a techie in the least so I need someone (dh or dd) to pick out a new one.
This is a good thread to get ideas. Thanks!

I’m boring and practical—I really want a Nest thermostat and smoke detector, and the Ring doorbell (really just one of those). My techie husband installed all of those here and I can tell you that you will LOVE them.

I really don't know. We bought our dream house last spring, so that was a huge gift We also bought some new furniture and decor for the house. That was another huge gift. We have a couple of trips planned between now and April (one of which is a family trip - our Christmas gift to our adult children). So there's nothing left for me to ask for. Except for a yarn bowl. I'd like a yarn bowl. It's been on my wish list for years and nobody has ever got it for me. So that's what I want this year. Awww - I hope you get it. My daughter has one and loves it. I think it makes her crochet time extra fun.

Our gifts are usually a "couple" gift...something we'll both use. This year it will be flannel sheets and a flannel blanket from the Vermont Country Store. And I'll be getting some "I'm Your Huckleberry" lip balm as an added bonus (not sure where he found that), because that was Tucker's registered name with the AKC

We are going on a cruise for Christmas, and that's enough...but that's what DH asked for. I wouldn't mind getting the book Tom Hanks wrote. I probably won't wait for Christmas, though. I'll likely buy it in the next few weeks.

Peace on earth and a slow news day.
In the material world, I would like new socks and maybe an Instant Pot.

A handyman. Yes. That's what I really want. A handyman we don't do much in the line of gift exchanges here - just a small token gift usually but I would LOVE a handyman to tackle all the honey-do items that DH doesn't have time/skills for.

Oh wow, a lot of people wanting some Bose QuietComforts in this thread! It is literally the only thing on my list this year as my previous QC died this summer and the noise of the world is driving me nuts since... Sigh. That's going to be an expensive gift so I'm not sure I'll actually get it.

I'm pretty boring this year and just want some new clothes and a new purse.
The best thing we've recently purchased that I would recommend is a Roomba. Man I love that thing! I get home every afternoon to nice clean floors, now if it would just clean the rest of the house.

I have no idea, but dh says he's had a list (for me) started since last year, so that sounds promising.

A single man with 2 eyebrows and a paying job. (2 eyebrows are negotiable - I have a very excellent wax girl lol).
I love gift cards for things I don't splurge on myself (art, clothes, fun stuff) and for everyday necessities which I don't like spending my money on but have to (groceries, gas, etc).

a new Tim Holtz Tiny Attacher stapler, because I think I lost mine at the scrapbook store. (either that or in my scrap room, but it's still lost, either way.) I have a hard time coming up with ideas, too. For a few years we were deciding to do or purchase 'big' things for the house as a gift for both of us- a new tree / shrub for the yard, a landscaping project, etc. because we both enjoy our yard. Or some sort of an experience? I gave my boyfriend a hot air balloon ride one year, and he gave me a horseback trail ride another year. A cleaning service. I really, really want this.Barring that, a Roomba. I wouldn't mind a security system. Just a small one, but I'd like it. Trips are the best. Even a weekend trip somewhere. A handyman. Yes. That's what I really want. A handyman I would love either of these, too! I think I'd rather have the cleaning service; my boyfriend just started doing long-distance trucking, and I am no housecleaning expert. A cleaning service at least a few times a year for deep cleaning would be WONDERFUL!

I add reasonably priced things to my wish list throughout the year so that I have something to tell people when they ask. I would like the physical version of A History of Magic (I have the Kindle version and it is surprisingly good) and the illustrated Prisoner of Azkaban. I would like a Versace Bright Crystal Rollerball (mine didn't come home from Europe with me....), and I think I might enjoy an inverted umbrella.
Socks and slippers are also always safe for me. They make me happy.

An Accuquilt Go! (Had to explain to my DH that it was like a Sizzix for fabric.) A new bottle of perfume, I have been rationing what little I have left. Charms added to my charm bracelet--I have the charms, I just want them taken to the jewelry store and put on the bracelet.

I just bought myself some presents, because I work hard and deserve it. --Beats headphones (the kind that go over your ears, not the ear buds) and they are making my morning walks a DREAM. -- iPad Pro with pencil and having a lot of fun using Procreate to draw. --iPhone 8 -- an RFID blocking ladies wallet (kinda like this RFID wallet )

I really can’t think of anything I want. I got the puppy I wanted in February, she was the only thing I have really wanted. I’m looking forward to watching her tear into all her presents. A new toy makes her so happy. She has a December too.

Home stuff, we'll be moving right before or right after Christmas.
I for sure want a small metal frame pergola with retractable canvas sun shade. There's a small floating deck kind of off to the side in the back yard of the new house, and I want to put one of those little pergola structures on it over my little patio table and two chair set to have a resting area for when I'm out gardening.
Other than that, maybe a piece of wall art or some other special décor item.

I like getting outings.
This year I’m asking for the IPhone case that dh has with a built in battery. His phone stays charged all day.
