I finally finished putting this together (between set painting for The Marriage of Figaro). We were in Korea Aug 23-Sept 15 and had a wonderful trip. We stayed with Cami (gryroagain) while we were in Seoul. You can see her family toward the end. (Thanks so much Cami! You're awesome!) LINK

Amazing footage - that must have been a fantastic adventure! And your children are getting so big. I must be old because I remember when Kate was just a wee one...

Great video! I always take photos, but forget to take videos. Those are great! We lived in Seoul for 2 years--it almost makes me miss it!

When you were traveling did you sketch any ? I've never really been successful at on-the-go sketching. I love the idea, it just never seems to work out! Thanks everybody! It was really a great trip... there were a few things that were kind of tough (like getting people up and ready if there was something that I wanted to do early in the day... that didn't always work!) and Kate's shoes turned out to be not very supportive and her ankle started hurting, so we didn't get to do this one hike that I was really looking forward to. And I didn't get quite as much Korean food as I wanted, but on the whole the kids did really well and everyone enjoyed it a lot. The other day Andy put on his backpack and said he wanted to go to Korea.

Thank you for sharing your trip with us! Your video is wonderful! I visited Seoul a long time ago (1986) and it was awesome! The people were extremely friendly and gracious, the food was amazing and the shopping wasn't bad either!

What an amazing experience for your family; thank you for sharing it with us.
As I recall, you served your mission in South Korea, correct? Where you able to visit/reconnect with anyone you taught while there?

Where you able to visit/reconnect with anyone you taught while there? There's one person I taught that I've still been in contact with, but I haven't heard back from her since I told her we were coming to Korea. I did get to see several mission friends. We stayed with one friend (An Sang Hee) in Pohang who was first taught by a missionary who I helped her track down about eight years ago, and his daughter served in our ward a few years after that. We called him up while I was there to tell him that An Sang Hee's daughter just got out of the MTC to serve in Seoul mission.

Lovely video! What kind of camera did you use and did you use any sort of stabilization - if not, you have a very steady hand!
