I was bummed with the reveals and still kinda not feeling it but I love the inks and stencil. Very uninspired with what the Design Team this month so hopping that you all will be creative and things will start showing up on Pinterest soon!

Not really my cup of tea, but my son loved Aladdin as a little boy, so I will keep it and use it. I did cancel my kit subscription today though. Too many kits that I just feel so-so about.

Guess I'm the exception - 1001 Nights looks like fun & will push me creatively which is my main reason for subscribing. I ended up liking it, too. I don't care so much for the 1001 Nights characters themselves, but I like the oasis stamps, the hanging lights and the camel, and I like that they left the sand dunes neutral enough to use them for snow. The background die reminds me of wicker, and I really love the little window style die. That one would be gorgeous with florals. I don't think the design team stuff was very inspiring this month, and I was looking forward to Jennifer McGuire's video. I'm sad to see she's not doing one. I'm wondering if they got their DT sets out late and people were rushed. Ahhh, you are really inspiring me to like it with all of your well thought out possibilities. Thanks!

I like this kit more in person then I did online. I even make a card with it 5 minutes after opening and organizing it. Might not really fit the kit theme, but I think outside of the box sometimes. Used the standalone die and cut apart the middle area to create a shaker I have a couple other ideas I'm going to play with in the morning. https://www.instagram.com/p/BcobtKgF1E-

At first glance, I don't love it and thought about skipping. After discussing it with my husband who gets his own iffy hobby box a month. He decided I should get it because it could push me to be creative or bits and pieces could be usable. And there's a surprise gift and mysteries things are popular in my house this month. unfortunately you can't just skip the hero arts kits. You'd have to cancel your entire subscription. You can skip a kit. I just skipped this one. It was my first one, but you can skip 1 time during a certain period of time. I didn’t like it at all.

That's not exactly what she said.... She said she couldn't play with it.... Did not say why. I petsonally like like the kit and look forward to playing with it. I couldn't play with it earlier because I am packing up my house for new flooring and preparing to leave the house for a month at the same time! UGG H! I don't have anything like this kid at all and think it'll be fun to use my distress oxides to make backgrounds for it. This and my distress oxides are going with me on my trip

One of my favorite card makers is Tina from Cards and Coffee Time blog. Here is a link to the first part of her 10 Card 1 Kit videos for this Hero Arts kit: cardsandcoffeetime.com/2017/12/19/my-monthly-hero-kit-december-2017/She does great cards with Hero Arts kits, SSS kits and Love from Lizi kits from the UK. I highly recommend checking her blog & YouTube channel out!

I highly recommend checking her blog & YouTube channel out! I've watched 3 videos using this kit tonight, and so far she's my favorite. I don't like how a lot of the designers use the add-ons--most of us, I'm assuming, don't by the add-ons, so it's nice to see a video where she makes her cards with just the basic kit. Also, i like how she keeps her space clean--i was watching another video and geez, louise there was so much crap in the video i couldn't stand it. Thank you!

I don’t sub to The Hero Arts Kit but actually got this one. I just got it yesterday, it wasn’t sold out, so I guess it wasn’t too popular. I liked it because it was so different and I have nothing like it. I have plenty of flower and animals so I’m not tempted by that sort of stamps too often these days. I liked the look of the magic carpet on a galaxy sky and thought it would make a cute card with a your out of this world sentiment which could be very versatile. I also got the genie add on.
I also watched cards and coffee time and her examples were very helpful and inspiring.

Are the hero arts embossing powders better than the Ranger ones?

I use mostly WOW embossing powder...or whatever I can get for cheap...I am beginning to get a BIT pickier of late, however, and i really like the Ranger superfine.
