DH is not feeling well, so he's upstairs in the guest room. I'm watching repeats of The Big Bang Theory and reading cheesy Christmas romance novels.
I finished wrapping, put clean sheets on my bed and showered, so I am relaxing.

I'm underneath a blanket and we're about to watch Guardians of the Galaxy part 2. It's not really my thing, so I'll be surfing and enjoying time w/dh and my 2 pussycats.

Took a meal to an old friend who has been sick. Visited too long then stopped by sonic and got a butterfinger blast for supper. Eating it by the fire.

We are celebrating Christmas with my husband's side of the family tomorrow so I've spent the evening preparing food and washing dishes. (I did my cooking tonight so dh can have the kitchen to himself tomorrow.) Now I'm sitting on the couch with a glass of wine waiting for ds to get home from a weekend wrestling tournament. It's the first time he'll drive himself home from something like this and I'm a bit of a nervous wreck. I'm sick and want to go to bed but I'm sitting here until he walks through the front door.

We just got in from going to two parties tonight. The first was our neighborhood party at the house across the street. The second was at a friend's in a nearby town. He has several antique stores and I've been dying to see his home -- it did not disappoint.
Actually, it's been a party weekend. Last night we hosted the office Christmas party for my husband's work. And this morning, I went to a cookie party.
Steph, I love your attitude about your Pap. I know you had a great time with him!

Have fun with your Pap. We're cooking tonight. DH made potato-leek soup which is to die for. My 14 year old DD is on her second cup. Now he's making pork chop pizzaola (sp) which smells divine. Youngest DD is in bed because she has a 7 o'clock soccer game in the morning. If it's not too much trouble, I would love to have your husband's soup recipe

I'm evacuated from the horrendous Thomas Fire, thousands of miles away at my Mom's in Canada, watching the local news live streaming and very concerned and so many dear friends still there...

Awww, a Saturday date with your granddaddy, how special. Enjoy every moment with him you can.
I am spending my evening working on a quilt top for a quilt/blanket for my DS for Christmas. Yes, I'm cutting it close.

Aw, I love the sound of your evening plans, Steph. I want to wrap a few more gifts, but plan on spending most of the evening under a blanket and watching movies. I just noticed that Collateral Beauty is on HBO, so we’ll start with that. I love that movie! Save some gift-wrapping after you watch it I just loved it, too! What a beautiful story.

It’s early Sunday evening here and I’m getting dinner ready. One set of neighbours are having a party which started last night and went til the early hours, started up again this morning and looks like it’s going for a 2nd evening. I’m over it. After dinner I’ll be calling noise control.

Dh and I went to our new neighbors' house for a Christmas party. I only stayed about an hour, because a couple of friends and I had tickets for a John Denver tribute band Christmas concert. I just got back from that.

In a most awesome turn of events I won a door prize and picked a kazoo. I was goofing around playing Christmas carols and ended up taking requests when the band was on break. I may have found my calling but I had no idea how much breath jingle bells takes. I don't know of the little video will work, but I have to try to share this video of him with his ladies. He is the BEST! cloud.tapatalk.com/s/5a3609fe3c1d9/Snapchat-292444112.mp4

Well, they gave out 4 doorprizes at DH's office party, and he won one of them. An Echo! We were planning on getting one for the new house anyway, so it was perfect.
They also gave a digital photo frame, a fitness tracker, and an e-reader. So still some nice stuff!

I took my kids to dinner. I’ll be working all of Christmas week, including Christmas Eve and Christmas night, so I wanted to hang with them a bit since I won’t see them much over the break. Then we went to Cabelas to wander around and get fudge. Then I came home and walked four miles on the treadmill to try and offset the two full squares of fudge I ate. Now I’m peaing and still feeling slightly green because of the two full squares of fudge I ate. Laundry is next on my exciting agenda for the evening. I need to take up square dancing I think. It’s got to be more fun than the treadmill .

Steph-sounds like you had a great nite and made the nite better for others! Your Pap is amazing- the video worked! Last night while you were dancing and kazoo-ing, I finished my Christmas cards for the 2peasrefugees--the last 31 are going into the mail today! Up early to go out for breakfast with my BFF. The US postal service delivered a package to my honey in California early- I expected him to get it Monday but he received it yesterday and was very excited to start Christmas early! Way to go USPS!!! All in all- a very good weekend!

After a day og christmas shopping with my mom and my daughter, we met up with the rest of the family and went to see Star Wars.
Today I'm trying out different vegan Christmas mains so my hubby and I can decide on a menu for Christmas eve.

Dh had his company's open house yesterday and we took the kids to build a bear. I was hoping for both of them to pick one Since they had a sale 2 for 35.00. Morgan picked out his and dd pick out one that was odd for her. However, really did not bug me. so we check out and head out she hands hers off to Morgan so he would get both of the ones he liked.Yes, she is passed stuffed animal age but sometimes I like her to try and be a kid. Ok so her baby brother has her wrapped around his pinky

Finally got DH all to myself to go Christmas shopping. He's either been hunting or golfing for the last couple of weekends. I usually do the bulk of the shopping anyway, but we like to go out together at least once during the season to get coffee and pick up odds and ends and talk. It was nice. We ate out then came home and continued binge watching Grimm.
Your Sat night sounds like a blast!

My DH & DS2 went to the Crossroads Classic-Butler vs Purdue and Indiana vs Notre Dame. So it was just me and 16 yr dd. We went to Red Robin for dinner and then came home and watched The Breakfast Club. Yea, that was one of my favorite movies back in the day, I was just a few years older than her when I first watched it. Couldn't wait to share it with her. She had been wanting to watch it for a while after hearing about it at school. Last night was a good night for it. And, she thought is was boring I don't understand this generation.
