I finished my temperature scarf of 2017! I need to weave in the ends still.
What are your crafting goals for 2018? Or at least this month?
I started my big personal cross stitch project. I'll try to share at least one picture of my progress each month.
Since I want to increase my knit selection at craft shows, I want to try to produce something every day or close to it. Other goals include being more productive in my inventory production and selling more online.

My goal for 2018 is to finish the lattice square blanket I’m making for our bed. Currently it’s about 30% or so done. I haven’t been crocheting much but plan to pick it up again soon.

Yay! Thanks for starting the thread!
I'm a bit bah-humbug at the moment due to gifts not getting finished or well-received, and everything else seems somewhat overwhelming.
What I really need to do is go through & organize/destash, and just get rid of about 75% of it that I'll never use for whatever reason. I'm finding more & more that I have sensory issues and what feels soft to others will make me absolutely crazy. But again with the overwhelming.
So...all that said....I'm still finishing the 4 hooded blankets - actually re-made one of them that I just really ended up hating the yarn, and decided to make a Malia cowl for my sister with yarn I bought but didn't use for the re-make.

I had planned to finish my 1/12th market stall ready to take pics for and up to day mini- book. Also had a mew kit of fabrics to play with. Then a chest infection struck on Christmas night that still has me in it`s horrible grip. On top of lung and breathing problems already in place it has been a scary few days with no cuddles for a puzzled GS. Hopefully back to crafting soon.

My ultimate goal is to open my own etsy store in 2018. I would also like to get the quilt tops I have completed actually made into quilts.
I do have a question for organizes people. This year, I'm going to try to use a journal to track my projects. I am trying to decide which makes more sense, to put each project on a separate page, and write the same steps/tasks (or even symbols) over and over
or
to put each task on a page and write the project name on whatever page/stage it is in.
Do either of these make sense, or does anyone want to have ideas to share?
Thanks!

I want to finish the current crochet projects that are close to completion. I finished a small quilting project in 2017 and want to challenge myself with a bigger item. Not craft but I really want to start using my camera again. I need to set some goals to achieve for the year to motivate me.

I'm going to try to make a dent in my stash of yarn and fabric this year. I am currently knitting the Getting Warmer cowl. I hope to finish that today or tomorrow. Then I want to make some mittens for my grandson. I also have some tote bags and quilts to start/finish.

My goal for the year is to complete at least one Christmas present a month. I'm hoping to complete 3 afghans, 5 scarfs, and at least a dozen flannel pillowcases.
This month I need to finish a couple of late Christmas presents 1 afghan - over 2/3 of the way done - and 2 pillowcases.

I got a wonderful package of yarn from wool warehouse today. It is for the woodland crochet along! It was even packaged beautifully and the colors are stunning in person. I know exactly who is going to get this blanket.

I need to clean out my sewing / craft / office room. Can't find anything in there right now.
I like to make I-Spy quilts for kids & adults.
Maybe set up an etsy store to sell some fabrics and quilts. I have way too much fabric to ever use up in one life-time.

Last night I was having a few glasses of wine and working on my beginning chain for the woodland crochet along. I went to let the dog outside and didn't notice the chain was hooked to the zipper on my sweater. I managed to drag my yarn all the way through the kitchen, into the dog's water, through the dining room, and out the door. I didn't notice until I tried to shut the door behind me. Haha! I unraveled so much of the skein of yarn and set myself back about 50 chains. Not to mention my yarn was wet from going into the dog's water. I swear this stuff only happens to me!

I decided it was probably time to go to bed and deal with it in the morning. Haha. This morning it's all dry and I am working on it while I drink coffee. No more crocheting under the influence.

My goals for the year are to learn Tunisian crochet and practice knitting more. I get flustered when I need to correct a mistake in knitting. Crochet is far more forgiving to me when I can just rip back to the mistake, stick the hook in and go. I just finished up this blanket and pillow for DS's room. He lives in Maine now, but it will always be his room ☺️. The blanket is crocheted in a spider stitch with Caron Cakes Big Cakes in Nightberry. I oriented the finished blanket vertically. The stitch makes it very dense so it's a very toasty blanket. I was very happy with how the striping and transitions were with this yarn/project in comparison to other things I've made with Caron Cakes. (I have no idea why these are sideways. Sorry..it's not letting me reorient them on the iPad)

What a stunning blanket Flowergirl. I just wasn't happy with my blanket in Caron cakes but between yours and disneypal's I feel like maybe I should give it another try.

I am so happy to see this thread. I have 3 projects on the hooks/needles at the moment and I have a plan in place on finishing those. I was going to finish those first of course but I started a cross-stitch project - a LARGE cross-stitch project so I have been working on that. I will post a photo but it is only the beginning and you can't make out what it will be (I'll share that later as it starts to come together) - haha It uses 26 different colors - all different shades of brown - yikes! I am going to work on that this week and next week, I am going to work on a shawl I started a while back (and I am almost finished with), then I will cross-stitch a week, work on shawl or afghan that isn't finished yet the next week, then cross-stitch a week and back and forth until I finish up all 4 of those projects. I am making a vow....I am going to finish these 4 projects WITHOUT starting something new. I promise myself.

I am not 100% sure I am following. But if all your projects are very similar, I would go with putting each task on a page and write the project name on whatever page/stage it is in. I, too am going to track my projects but my projects are all very different so I will have a separate page for each project and write the steps/tasks on the project page. I suppose it mostly matters on what kind of projects you have.

What a stunning blanket Flowergirl . I just wasn't happy with my blanket in Caron cakes but between yours and disneypal's I feel like maybe I should give it another try. Thank you so much! ☺️ And I know what you mean. I made a Ripple Star blanket with the regular Caron Cakes and the abrupt color changes bother me so much. But the blanket feels so good I didn't rip it back. I've made three things with the Big Cakes--the blanket and pillow shown above and another pillow in a different colorway and was pleased with the transitions on all three. I need to finish the other pillow, but I want to back it in fabric and never did that before so I need to read up on how.
