My goals for the year are to learn Tunisian crochet and practice knitting more. I get flustered when I need to correct a mistake in knitting. Crochet is far more forgiving to me when I can just rip back to the mistake, stick the hook in and go. ) I really like your blanket 😄 About the knitting try to look at his tip I found at Pinterest knitty.com/ISSUEwinter03/FEATwin03TT.html

Holy crap! I just checked out your Instagram page, your knitting is amazing! I really need to take time and learn how to knit. I got needles and yarn 2 christmases ago and still have not started practicing. Thank you! JoAnn's has an intro to knitting class every month plus lots of YouTube videos.

I keep looking but I don't see that - all I see a photo of her beautiful sock, her dyed yarn and lovely temperature scarf. Can you copy and paste the photo you are talking about?

I just got back from Joanns. It's the last day of their sale on yarn. I also had a 20% off coupon for teachers. I spent less than $50 and plan to make blankets for my nieces and nephews for Christmas next year. I think I have enough yarn to make generous sized throws for four kids.

I pinned it for the next project when I inevitably mess up and need to repair. I know if I just practice more and devote time to learning to focus the mistakes, I'll be able to figure it out. It's just that whole "time" thing!

My stash isn't feeling as overwhelming as it had been. I'm planning to make a blanket using two strands of yarn and if I make it pretty good sized I should be able to run the stash down considerably. The extra 20% off was the kicker for me and knowing that I'd have a full year to get the four blankets done. In all likelihood I'll have them all done by summer. SaveSave

For papercrafting, I want to put to use a lot of things I have such as older paper collections, mists and mixed media supplies and get more out of my Silhouette.
For knitting, I bought the Craftsy class Sweater Modifications for a Custom Fit just as I was finishing my last sweater. So I'd like to make another sweater following this class.

A whole bunch of plans with high hopes including sewing the Tim Holtz zippered tote bag kit bought several months ago, making a hybrid (electronic/paper) travel/ journal /planner /smash book thing and keeping it up to date, getting my 2-head embroidery machine tuned up and restarted (it's been in storage for about 5 years) and getting updated software to use with it. I have an old computer with the old software also waiting to be started up and see if it works at all. A sideline project from that is a request from my daughter to embroider items for her future bridesmaids. I guess that's a priority project really as the wedding is later this year <sigh> . An Etsy shop would probably be a good thing to work on too later. For this weekend, I need to finish a sympathy card, it's going to be a 3d box card of hydrangeas. Whew. It all sounds a lot more like hard work rather than fun crafting when you think about it!

I've been avoiding Joanns, too. And my LYS. 'Cause I was naughty and ordered from Knit Picks on their CM and luxury yarn sales! Last weekend I reorganized all my yarn and updated my 'stash' on Ravelry. I need to spend this year knitting and destashing as much as I can. I have visions of me kicking the bucket someday and whoever goes through my craft room being appalled at my stash of yarns, fabric, patterns and threads.

I’ve been crocheting and now have 61 out of an estimated 81 or 90 (not sure exactly how big I want this to be) squares done. About half have borders added. Sewing them together and weaving ends is going to be the worst.

KelleeM, I do that with all my leftovers. I've got a whole tub of squares. I just hate the idea of stitching them all together.
