I used Joanns coupons to buy Clover pom pom makers and today I finally took them out of the packaging and started making pom poms with my stash. I plan to make a garland and a wreath with the big ones and with the smaller ones I am going to string some together to hang in the window of my classroom door. I went to a shop that had a whole bunch of them hanging in their front window and it was really cute. I've been looking for ideas on Easy & Pinterest.
I really want to tie some to little girls' ice skates.

I'd like to crochet a cardigan I've just started a Campfire cardigan, I have a few Caron cakes in the Bumbleberry colour that have already been 3 different things that I didn't like and frogged them all. So they are now being converted into this. With all the frogging etc the original cakes are now balls of separate colours, so it's easy to make both sides exactly the same. I realised I never showed you the finished Hotel of Bees shawl, Beautiful. I think you and lainey should arrange a meet up, both wearing your shawls and post a picture for me to see!

I have, but it didn't grab me straight away like the Hotel of Bees did. Beautiful. I think you and lainey should arrange a meet up, both wearing your shawls and post a picture for me to see! How fun would that be!

That is beautiful. I make that promise to myself all the time but sadly, I don't stick to it because I get so excited about a new project. I really, really am trying this year. I have one cross stitch project, one knitting project and 2 crochet projects in progress that I SWEAR and I really mean it, that I will not start anything new until those projects are finished. That scarf really is so beautiful!

I've really been into the pom poms lately too. Started a wreath before Christmas in different shades of white/off white yarn. It isn't quite as full and filled in as I would like, but I got tired of working on it so I hung it up anyway. I need to get that finished here soon. Be aware that it can take A LOT of pom poms to make a nice full wreath...

Summer here, so not really crochet friendly weather. I did finish a cotton scarf in Caron Cotton cakes though Lakehouse Wrap but I did it more of a scarf than a wrap, and I also worked the pattern along the long side rather than the short side as I think that works better for the colour changes in the Caron cakes.
This is absolutely beautiful! I love the colors! I had to google the pom pom wreaths and oh my gosh....I love them! I might have to make myself one.

dknitter, I've been meaning to ask you this. What pattern did you use for your temperature scarf? I think I want to do one this year, and I love your pattern.

I used a simple ribbed pattern. The first three and last three rows are garter stitch. You can make it as wide as you want using multiples of 4 plus 6. Each row after the first three is k3 (k2, p2)* repeat to last three stitches, k3. Repeat until it's as long as you want and knit the last three rows for a garter stitch. Bind off.
Each row is the color for the day's high temp. I found a range on Pinterest using Vanna choice yarn. If I do it again, I'd make the ranges shorter and use more colors and use HL's yarn.

I haven't knitted anything for a while, I crochet more, but I think this would be the perfect project to get me knitting again.

Some cards I've been working on! I'm teaching a few of my friends different techniques. This is one of them where I use an embossing folder to create the card border.

lainey it was you and that star blanket pattern that prompted me to start crocheting again 2 1/2 years ago when I found out I was having a granddaughter! Thanks for that, in case I haven’t said it before. I’m sad that that blanket, as well as the full sized one I sent to dd, didn’t come north with dd and dgd when they had to leave Florida in a rush 😕

So many projects to work on this year....
I definitely want to make the t-shirt quilt for my daughter that I've been saving t-shirts for years for. I have cut out some of them to the size of the squares, and have collected other supplies to use to put it together (ie. flannel that I want to use for the backing), but this year I want to either complete it, or toss everything that I can't reuse for another project. No more thinking about it! This month I will gather all the supplies together in one place, to see what I have and what I need to do next.
I want to order the rest of the supplies I need to finish my Disney Album that I'm working on (from our first Disney Trip in 2010). I have the album half-done, but need more cardstock to complete the project that I've just been putting off ordering for some strange reason. I'm getting to the point that I can't work on this album anymore because of the cardstock situation.
I have some mini-albums that I have instructions for, but need to purchase supplies for, so I'll commit to completing at least four of those projects this year (that should be do-able). This month I will decide which albums I'm going to complete, and make supply lists for each one. I'd like to order supplies, as well, but will not commit to that as it may not be do-able in January.
And in order to make crafting possible at all, I am committing to ruthlessly cull my crafting room in order to free up enough space to craft in there (and properly store what supplies I need to do the crafting I want to do in there). I will work on that project the last two weeks of January (spending some time each day in there).
Those are my goals for January.

lainey Your stitches are so neat and even; it's a beautiful star. Thank you JoP how are you doing with the Woodland blanket? lainey thanks for asking. I really really struggled and I can’t tell you how many times I frogged but I’m finally 4 colours in 🤪😀. I’m manically counting every pattern repeat to double check my stitch pattern is lining up and is the right number.
