The other thread was kind of long and kind of seasonal. I was thinking a monthly thread would work out better?
Whose in?
I am committing to be completely frozen in January. I think it should be easy as I have no crafty plans, except one card to make this month.
Being frozen also follows along with some of my other NSBR goals.

January is a No Spend Month for me and that includes all misc. spending. I rarely scrapbook these days so the urge to shop just isn't there.

I'm going to seriously try for a no spend January and February for card-making stuff.
My friends husband made me an ink storage rack. I plan on staining it to match my furniture (the dark Kallax/Expedit). And I may try to make a matching storage unit for my pens. So I would need to purchase materials for those projects.

I'm in, but I still won't get to the store to buy my holiday gift for a few more weeks, so that won't count.
And, I don't have any gift cards, but for any of us who do, they don't count either. Spend away!

I'm here and I'm weak. But not buying any scrappy stuff in January. Baby steps. My room is crammed full. Time to use it up!!! It's going to be painful not going into Tuesday Morning!!!

I'm in.
The only thing I've purchased recently is a Fuse from the SC sale.

I'm in. I did spend a bit at the Studio Calico sale a few days ago, and yesterday I splurged at my LSS with a gift card. I hope to keep my spending in check until the new releases. I am going to a crop at the beginning of February, so if I can keep my wallet closed until then I will be quite pleased with myself.

You might be weak, but you are BRAVE! I never, ever participated in these frozen threads until the first part of last year. No way was I going to publicly commit to not buying scrappy stuff. I did not do it the whole year, but I did spend a whole lot less than the year before. You can be refrigerated also, you don't have to be completely frozen.

I’m in! Using what I normally spend on supplies for my cruise in April/May. I cancelled my kit club in November. So i am on my way. My one exception would be new distress oxide colors if some are released. Thanks for the new thread.

I'm in. I'm still frozen, apart from my Cocoa Daisy kit. Hope to stay that way for the next 6 months. Actually it feels pretty good. I have a lot of stuff, including some stamps I haven't inked up yet. Time to get them out and get creating with what I have.

I just got out of the freezer and moved into the refrigerator. I’m not planning to buy much but I do need a couple more ink pads.

I like the idea if a new thread each month!
I’m refrigerated. I have my Elle’s Studio kit and my AE SbtM kit, plus I’m setting a limit of $25 for other purchases (mainly for addons at Elle’s), but I really don’t need more stuff - I need to make a dent in what I have!

I am maintaining my HipKit but otherwise intend to not buy anything other than adhesive and albums/page protectors. After all, I can't make pages if I have nothing to stick all the pictures and pretties down.

I'm in. I bought a ton of ton during the SC Black Friday sale and the after Christmas clearance sale, so I am set for a while.
My only exceptions are my AE Stories by the Month sub ($10 a month), my Kelly Purkey kit (I think it is $24 a month after shipping), and my Silhouette sub (I think it is $15 a month). Depending on the add ons, I may add an item here or there, but that is it!
I cut back my spending a lot last year, and I found it easier to avoid going into Michaels, JoAnns, Hobby Lobby, and Tuesday Morning all together. I am debating quitting PayPal, because it makes it so easy to shop online.
I need to freeze my beauty spending too - I went a little crazy with FabFitFun add ons and Sephora Favorites sets during the holidays!

I am in for a no buy January. I just moved last week and am in the process of organizing my new craft room. We were gone for the past 4 days so I didn't have much time to get into it but I have spent a couple of hours getting things put away along with everything else in the house. In 2016 I did not purchase anything (except necessary adhesives and a few sheets of yardstick...those were all needed to complete layouts as I ran out). Anyhow, during 2017 I bought a few monthly kits and also added a lot to my stash here and there with online purchases but did not make a whole lot. I kept up with my PL album and a few layouts and cards but did not justify the purchases. I think I may like to do another freeze again in 2018. The only thing is that I may need to purchase some albums for storing layouts. Let's see how long I can go. Good luck to everyone!

I think I'm going to stay refrigerated this year. I have plenty of stuff and need to focus more on using rather than shopping so while I don't really want to buy anything else I don't want to have the mindset that I'm not allowed to shop. I'm hoping the thought that I can will be enough to make me question whether I really want to.

Being frozen, also follows along with some of my other NSBR goals. Same here. I have saving goals this year. I rarely scrapbook these days so the urge to shop just isn't there. Sadly, this is me too. Between work, and kids' new medical stuff, and just trying to get by, my mojo has been MIA, and the thought of trying to fight my way through a store to get new supplies just makes me cringe. I don't have any gift cards, but for any of us who do, they don't count either. Spend away! I do have a couple of gift cards that I earned through surveys. I'm holding them for when I want to buy albums, which should be now, but I don't even have the motivation to place the order. I like the idea if a new thread each month! Me too! I won't get so overwhelmed if it is monthly. I'm totally in for being frozen this month. And definitely refrigerated the whole year. I have a decent amount of supplies. And I have photos piled up that need to be scrapped, that I just haven't found the time or mojo to get to yet.

I am in. I have been deep cleaning my studio for a couple of weeks, and I really want to use up what I have this year. I found some treasures I have not used like Doodlebug Paper Frills and many other great things. I need nothing so I am frozen but will keep my two kits until I meet those commitments then will cancel those.

I bought an A5 hole punch for my planner. I'm going to print my own pages, rather than buy them, so I think it will save me money in the end.
As for actual scrapbooking supplies, still frozen!

I bought a class this month and stocked up on cardstock. The only spending I have planned is cutting mats, but I'm waiting for the price to go down, not sure when that'll be. I'm planning on being frozen most of the year, but I do plan on making small purchases occasionally throughout the year.

And I have photos piled up that need to be scrapped, that I just haven't found the time or mojo to get to yet. This is my plan for the year. I know I am going to need glue dots and a new zig pen soon plus I am going to a crop retreat next month and will buy something if I really want/need it. I consider Freezing/Refrigerating more of a use my stash challenge than a punishment* for spending. *that's a little stronger sounding than intended but makes the point.

christinec68 I understand what you mean. I can afford to spend money on my hobby, but my stash is larger than I want right now. I'm focusing on using what I have.

I feel like I have accumulated a lot of kits, journal cards, and embellishments over the last 6 months or so from buying things in Gossamer Blue, SC, and Elle's Studio sales, and my stash is not fitting as well into my space as usual. The only purchasing I am planning in the next few months is that I go to a monthly Stampin Up card class and usually place a monthly order though that. But I am planning to buy tools and stamps through that and avoid paper, journal cards, and embellishments until I use some up. I also need to avoid reading about great deals on online sales on this site. My plan is not to order any scrapbooking stuff online until at least spring or summer. Now I just need to have enough time to scrapbook and use up some of my stash.
