I should have held off on my review of my Gemini original. I’ve been having issues now. After trying to cut out large squares and rectangles I found that the paper warped. Just too much pressure. I played around with it changing up shins and such I still got the same result using 65 lb paper and 110 lb paper. I called customer service and spoke to Dolly she worked with me arranging things around and using copy paper in the sandwich and to use a new cutting plate as I was was using a warped plate. I didn’t have one a new one at the time but as soon as I hung up the delivery man dropped off a package of new plates which I ordered about a week ago. I still got the same result using The new plate as she recommended.. I tried it out as she instructed but all combinations resulted in some degree of warping. She said she is sending out a new plate and 100 lb paper. Which is recommended. I just casually mention the hsn show and how I felt that Anna dominated the show. I wanted to see their presentation of the pencils but couldn’t watch tv all day as I had things to do. She said she will send out some colors pencils as well to try. I’m so impressed with their customer service. No wait time at all. I also mentioned that the plates were very expensive for one plate. I told her all the other companies have 2 in a pack. She said she would forward that feedback to the uk office and was happy to hear feedback I hope to get this issue resolved but if it doesn’t work I have my big shot to cut those type of dies which worked just fine. In short. Gemini works great with intricate died. Here are some examples. The snowflakes are cut it of a background die on Cricut. stampin up paper is 80 lb so the blue rectangle in the pic is 80 not 60 lb wt.

I had that happen to me when I used a light-weight pearlized paper. Try cutting without any shims, or only the frosted plastic shim. It sounds like too many shims and too much pressure. HTH

I tried just the plastic shim and I still got the same result. I haven't tried on pearlized paper as I don't own any.

Sorry that didn't work. I'll let you know if I think of anything else.
