I upgraded to Design Studio Software tonight so I can make my own Project Life type cards for my One Little Word Album. I've been working on it for hours and have finally figured out how to import the paper I want into the card, and how to import an embellishment on it.
I added words to the card before I printed it - and I grouped it - but the words aren't printing. Does anyone have any advice for me?
TIA
Cindy

Can you be more specific about how you did this? You said you "imported" paper and embellishments. From where? What kinds of file types were they? Once we know that maybe we can help more.
Do the words show on the cards on the screen? What do they look like? (Red outline, what kind of fill, etc)

Do the words show on the cards on the screen? What do they look like? (Red outline, what kind of fill, etc) I bought the Felicity Jane Regan digital kit and loaded it into the patterns folder in my silhouette library. Then I created a a card template and filled it with a pattern from the Felicity Jane kit. On top of that I put an embellishment from the same kit. Both of these print no problem. But the quote that I typed and added to the card does not show when I print it. I tried "grouping" and making a compound path - but neither of those made a difference. I'm not really going for a red line right now because I'm trying to do a print and cut. The cutting marks are there just fine. The words just won't show up. Ugh! I'm so frustrated!! I would appreciate any help you can give me. Cindy

Okay, I tried to recreate it in Silhouette Studio just now using a digital paper as a pattern to fill a rectangle. I then typed a word and put it over the rectangle. The only thing I had to do was go up to the menu Object>Arrange>Bring to Front and this put the words in front of the pattern.
I don't think that's your issue because you said it's showing up on the screen all right but wanted to mention it. Other than that, it's printing just fine for me.
The only other thing I can think of is that when I looked up this feature on the Silhouette website, it said it was a Designer edition feature only. Do you have the Designer edition? If not, maybe that's why it's not letting you do it.
I'm so sorry, I don't know what else to try. I don't know why it wouldn't be printing. If neither of those suggestions helped, hopefully someone else has an idea. Good luck!

I thought about getting this kit too because I love it and wanted to use it with my Cameo but I have no idea how to do things like that. That's awesome how you were able to use yours!

I thought about getting this kit too because I love it and wanted to use it with my Cameo but I have no idea how to do things like that. That's awesome how you were able to use yours! Actually, I bought the non-digital kit first - it was delivered yesterday. So last night I started working on my One Little Word Album and I wasn't pleased with how some of the digital downloads from the OLW class looked with the papers I chose. I decided I wanted to make my own PL pocket cards that I could journal on. I dreamed about it all night last night - barely slept at all. When I got home today I skipped my nap and went straight to the computer to research how to make my own PL journaling cards. I thought I'd have to buy Photoshop Elements. Come to find out, I can do it all on my Silhouette! I did have to upgrade to the Design Studio software though. But I think I'm going to get a lot of use out of it. By chance I went to the Felicity Jane website and saw that they sell the same kit that is digital for $15.00. I paid $40 plus shipping and for extra paper for the same kit. I LOVE THAT KIT! I'm so happy because now I have an unlimited amount of paper and embellishments I can use for my OLW album. It prints out beautifully. This One Little Word project is costing me a fortune, but I'm having fun with it. Cindy

That is awesome cindytred I have had design edition for years, back when I had the original silhouette, then Portrait and now the 3. I'm going to spend some time with it, and see what I can do. Thanks for the inspiration! I also love that FJ kit, and its my daughter's name too lol. Think I may purchase the digital kit!
