How much do you have to spend to have that much worth of points? That sounds like a fun spending spree! I didn't realize that you had to spend it at once or lose it. I spent so much in the fall (20% off to buy birthday and Christmas gifts) but only had $17 worth of "points". I thought I was going to have so much more. It depends. You can get points in the actual amount of your purchases and you can get more points if they are having a 'deal' where you can get 5x the points on certain items. So its not always based on what you actually spent. SaveSaveI didn't know about the 5x points. Is it only on the "prestige" products or on things like nail polish, etc. Do you get emails to advertise this? I never get emails, and I called the customer service a few months ago to get signed up and still nothing. I will try to get signed up again at the store. Thanks for the info!

You don't exactly lose the points. But they are worth more the more you have. So, 100 points is worth $3, but 500 points is worth $17.50, I think. 1000 points is worth $50; 2000 points is worth $125. So if you had 2000 points, and you redeem 1000 points for $50 off, you have 1000 points ($50) left, not $75 left. That sounds complicated, but thanks for explaining it to me! So it's better to redeem 2000 pts. at once? I will try to save up my points and use it at once. Does it matter whether you spend 2000 pts. on one expensive item or would it be the same if you spend 2000 pts. on many items? I need to pay more attention to how I use the points. They have a complete chart at the cash registers (or they should) for how much points are worth in certain increments, but I think that they key levels are listed on the info page on the website. You get more value if you redeem 2000 points at once. (And I think that might be the maximum earning level; I think that 3000 points is like 2000 + 1000, not some new level.) The only way I'd say it matters whether you buy one or several items is whether you think you might return a product you've purchased with your points. If you spent all 2000 on one hair dryer, but you return it, you'll get all 2000 points back when you do the return. But if you purchase a bunch of items, I believe the $125 discount and points are prorated out over all the items. I'm not totally sure how the math works out in reverse, but I am pretty confident that for a partial return on a large points redemption, you'll end up with only a portion of the points if you only return one of the items and, thus, not the "full" value of the points. Like, if you bought four things all costing $31.25 ($125/4) but return one, you might get 500 points back (2000/4), but that's only got a redemption value of $17.50.

SaveSaveSaveSave maryland, it just depends on what they're offering. I have active offers right now for NYX (non-prestige) and IT Cosmetics (cosmetics). Sometimes it will be on everything, including services. Sometimes it might be all fragrance, or certain eyeshadow palettes, or... whatever. I personally find it easiest to find my current offers via the app rather than the website.

I think I need to take you shopping with me! I will make sure I buy something I plan to keep. I use that strategy with Kohl's cash too. It makes sense because I bought something for $14.50 and used $7 cash and the rest points and when we tried to return it, they gave $7 back but not the points. I really need to read up on it and plan it out. Thanks so much for explaining how it works to me! I never knew I even had points until once one of the sales people asked if I wanted to redeem them. I thought they always asked for my phone number to send me the flyer. It was a great surprise!
