NO/LO Jan 12, 2018
SPENDING FREEZE: Zero dollars, except (enabled by Jeanie Comerford) for January SC documenter kit with the $5.00 code SCDOC5. I felt bad the minute I confirmed my purchase. I will try harder, I didn't need that kit and actually I think the scrapbook kit for January is nice (sadly no code), but still I don't need it!
CHECK-IN: So, I started 2018 with a mind to change the page I was stuck on and really tackle some scrappy challenges. (Here come the list of excuses: I was sick (just a head cold & the blues a little); my Cameo is not working properly and the directions Silhouette gave me are extensive; I tried to update Photoshop and instead it disappeared from my computer (luckily that’s fixed).
Today that changes, no more excuses!
1. Until my Cameo is fixed or thrown out the window. I will pull out all my thin metal dies and my old Making Memories Slice Elite with all the SD cards and use those for cutting).
2. I will just stamp, stamp, stamp until my mojo ignites or my carpal tunnel does me in.
3. I will paint, I will color, I will use my watercolor and brush markers, my Gelatos, Neocolor II crayons, Pan pastels, etc.
4. Every month we will have a tool or technique of the month (PLEASE SUGGEST ANY OF YOUR TOOLS THAT YOU WOULD LIKE US TO COVER).
JANUARY TOOL OF THE MONTH: Pull out your Big Shot, Cuttlebug or other manual die cutter, we are going to cut some shapes. (If you don’t have one use your electronic die cutter or punches instead).
PROJECT CHALLENGE: “Oh the weather outside is dreary and we’re all flu-E and weary” Show me fresh, fresh food, fresh weather, fresh clothes, trends of any kind, or for those of you with a new bundle of joy or even an old one, show me fresh faces.
COLOR COMBO SUGGESTION: Primary colors with a black/white photo or black/white papers/embellishments etc with a primary color photo (the primary colors do not need to be as in your face primary as the example, any shade of primary will do).
